[Deadly Skill]: Consume 3 Anger to use the skill (gain 1 Anger after you deal damage to a target or receive damage yourself).

[Shield of the Lion]: +1% PDEF and MDEF. Effect stacks up to 3 times and is removed when critically hit.

Richard is a Lightning Tank that will do everything for his allies. His skills revolve around taking damage for his allies, thanks to the Escort system, and around controlling the battlefield with stuns - thanks to the passive. For a Tank, he can output pretty ridiculous amounts of damage - as not only he can launch additional attacks, but also increase his own counter damage which synergizes really well with his other skills.
Overall, he's a great hybrid that can both act as a tank or a damage dealer, depending on which skills you will pick for him. Still, make sure to avoid pitting him against Fire enemies, as they can quickly kill him because the elemental system in the game is pretty important - it's 30% increased damage done against the weaker element.
On the game's release, he also will be the best Tank you can use from the get-go, but be aware that once Bellet (one of the three protagonists) becomes upgraded to higher ranks and rarity, she will take the best tank spot from Richard. But this won't happen for a few months, and you can safely invest in Richard till then.

can't do both - while he is versatile, building him in a hybrid way makes him average at both, so either stick him as your tank or damage dealer.
