General info

A rock (or rather, diamond..) solid defender, Mars is a powerful tank capable of debuffing the enemy while buffing his own defenses.

His skill 1 has a 60/80% chance to inflict [Taunt] on a single enemy. If you have his skill page, it will also grant Mars an [Increased DEF Buff] for 1 turn. His skill 2 has a 40/60% chance to inflict [Stun] on the enemy for 1 turn - if the enemy is already afflicted by [Stun], he will inflict [Reduced DEF] for 2 turns.

His Special skill will hit every enemy and grants Mars a [Fortify] buff for 2 turns, with a 25/45% chance of inflicting [Extend Debuff duration] on every opponent.

When Mars uses his Combined attack, he has a 40/50% chance of inflicting [Stun] on all the enemies, while if you pair him with Lotus he will be able to use his United attack, that will inflict [Reduced All ATK] on all enemies that have 50% Mobility or less while also having a 40% chance of inflicting [Taunt]. Finally, his LR passive grants all allies [Debuff Immunity] for 1 turn.

Mars is an amazing tank that can easily apply [Taunt] on primary targets and can keep the team safe with his stuns, on top of giving the team 1 turn of [Debuff Immunity]. He is also very capable in PvP for the same reason, but will get phased out as you get more specialized units. While his [Debuff Immunity] is indeed powerful he doesn't do anything else to protect his team before acting at least once, meaning units like Black Asta replace him in this niche. Regardless, Mars is available to all players as part of the standard pool and will be an amazing asset in clearing tower stages and PvE stages.

Dupes

His E2 passive provides Mars a 5% [Reduced DMG Taken] when being attacked, bumped up to 10% at E5. His dupe stats all contribute in making Mars a better tank - it's worth notice that he is one of the units giving the most CP, making it a great choice for players wanting to max their CP for guild ranking.

Skill page

Mars skill page adds an [Increased DEF buff] for 1 turn when using his Skill 1, very useful for a tank. The passive provides a 4/8% [Fortify] buff when receiving damage, until the start of Mars next turn. This gives a LOT of extra bulk, hard to find anything better for him. In case you are missing this skill page you should consider getting it with a SSR Skill page selector. You can use SR Asta page against bosses as a replacement, or Sekke's card for some easy to max defensive stats

PvP

As mentioned above, Mars can be used to good success early on in PvP, even if he will be phased out.

It's best paired with Lotus, as their United attack is very powerful and can change the tides of the battle. He can be played in mono technique teams with Julius and William/S3 Charlotte/S4 Noelle.

Considering Mars and Lotus work as a pair, you can realistically use them in most PvP lineups as a progressing player.
