Review

ATF-35 Thunderbolt (Thunderbolt) is a PVP-oriented air unit that cannot attack enemy ground units. Importantly, with how targeting works, Thunderbolt can hit Ground Bosses and Ships. While Thunderbolt’s kit was designed around the idea of being a dedicated air superiority fighter, there are significantly better alternatives for the niche (e.g. Awakened Lee Seoyoon).

In PVE, there is no point in using Thunderbolt. Being unable to attack enemy ground units is a huge downside. Additionally, there are many alternative Ranger units who can provide greater damage output or better team utility, while also being able to attack enemy ground units.

Thunderbolt’s ability to target enemy ships forms the basis for much of its PVP value. Thunderbolt is a core unit in “Terror” comps, a team archetype designed to win games by directly damaging enemy ships. Provided that there are no enemy air units present, Thunderbolt will go directly for the enemy ship.
