When deployed, he creates a stasis field for 6 seconds that decreases Mech units’ ATK by 30%, and their HP by 3% per second. (Noncancelable, Bosses excluded) After every 3rd Basic attack, he inflicts AoE damage on Mech units and stuns them for 2 seconds, and creates another stasis field.

Man of Storm
Ultimate Skill4 valid hits 60 seconds

Quickly gathers enemies and creates a traveling explosion along the ground to inflict AoE damage. This skill creates a stasis field and prevents enemies from using skills or receiving buffs for 8 seconds. (Bosses excluded)


At level 2: DMG +5%

At level 4: DMG +15%

At level 5: Adds ASPD -25% to the debuff. Skill cooldown -4 s when an enhanced attack is used.

Review

When Awakened Jake was first released, his performance was pretty terrible - not only he died pretty easily, his signature move (the storm surrounding him) had low range and low impact. So nobody was surprised when he was buffed one week later.

His stats and skills were changed to make him the prime enemy of Mechs and now he's great at making their life miserable. Not only he can tank them really really well, but also he can deal quite a lot of damage and CC them to death.

His anti-mech kit, makes him shine in stages and modes, where there's a lot of Mechs, like Dive 50, Relic Dungeons, Challenge Mode, and Shadow Palace 5. Still, when he's facing enemies that aren't Mechs, his performance drops - he's by no means weak, just that there are better options.

As for PVP, after the recent second round of buffs (yeah, second) he can now hit Air units with his skills and aura, and he can keep the storm field up constantly and also perma stun mechs. This allows him to be the best counter to both Evolved One and Awakened Horizon.

Pros

- top tier anti-Mech employee,

- pretty tanky and can take a beating with all the shields he can grant himself,

- has a lot of CC (but only against Mechs).

Cons

- requires great gear and team build to support him.

Hummingbird/Inhibitor Weapon, Maze Armor, Gordias Acc; Ground DMG Res + Melee/Ranged DMG Res + CDMG Res substats. ASPD is for a more stun-oriented set. Against Mechs in PVE, he can go more offensive because he hardcaps DMG Res really easily against them.
