Review
Arhat Shiyoon is a counterattacking monster that can survive quite a beating thanks to his monstrous base HP and DEF alongside his Skill and Ultimate giving him temporary Perfect Evasion.
In PVE he's a great carry for most general content, as his kit is hard to go wrong with. He isn't a slouch in endgame either - he's a great pick for some Relic Dungeons, and almost mandatory for nightmare Britra raid.
In PVP he is a balanced character that counters some meta characters, but at the same time, there are multiple ways to counter him. Despite his seemingly strong defensive stats, he can still die quite fast, especially to Snipers. His Perfect Evasion is a removable buff as well, making Serina and other buff removers easily strip a layer off his bulk.
Overall Arhat Shiyoon is a strong employee in PVE and in PVP he has some exploitable weaknesses.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- counterattack is one of the most broken mechanics in the game,
- not only his stats are really high, but he also gets perma-evasion from his skills,
- he can cheese through Shadow Palace 5 and other PVE modes where counter-attack messes up with boss mechanics.
Cons
- Mechs are his weakness in PVP,
- so are buff removers like Yen Xing,
- and basically everyone that can do big DPS.
