Review

Hyperion is a flying backline damage dealer. Whenever there is an enemy below 50% HP on the field, his Basic Attacks launch missiles in addition to normal hits, massively boosting damage output. Hyperion’s Special Skill applies potent stackable self-buffs: up to 100% ATK and 50% Basic DMG AMP. On top of that, it automatically casts whenever 2 enemies recently hit by the special leave the field.

In PVE, Hyperion’s unbuffed damage is severely lacking, making him useless in the single-target endgame content (e.g. Raids, Danger Close). However, against waves of enemies, Hyperion gets to stack his self-buffs and quickly becomes a powerful damage dealer. This makes him a strong option for Dives, Dimensional Trimmings and Shadow Palace.

In PVP, Hyperion is a strong flying damage dealer that shines in Mech teams. Unfortunately, Anti-Air options (e.g. Karin Wong) are stronger than ever before and can quickly remove Hyperion from the equation.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Amazing damage when self-buffs are stacked.

Cons

  • Cannot stack Basic AMP Debuff in single-target content.
