Summary
Jisoo is a utility tank who creates value for the team through a plethora of debuffs. Notably, she applies a 90%healing reduction debuff and 25% ASPD decrease debuff passively globally. Not only does the debuff have 100% uptime, it is classified as a permanent debuff.
Jisoo’s Alternium Reactor addressed her long-standing survivability issues by turning her into a stat-stick monstrosity. Jisoo’s reactor comes with an assortment of desirable stats; notably, she gains up to 60% Status Effect RES. Status Effect RES reduces debuff duration and effect (among other things, this means healing reflux refluxes less and falls off sooner). While players typically assess character kits holistically, Jisoo’s reactor is so strong that many people opt to frontline Jisoo purely for the stats it grants.
PVE Review
Generally speaking, Jisoo’s utility rarely finds enough value that it would justify running her over other frontline alternatives. Of note, Jisoo’s reactor turns her into a massive stat stick capable of frontlining most PVE stages.
PVP Review
Jisoo without her reactor is borderline unplayable in PVP. With her reactor, Jisoo becomes an unbelievably oppressive frontline tank. She provides insane utility, has unimaginable bulk, and she does all this for 5 DP. When Jisoo isn’t banned, everyone is basically forced to run their own Jisoo to match the opponent. For now, she is unironically considered the strongest frontline tank in the game.
Part of her tankiness can be attributed to her supporter role. There is no dedicated anti-supporter gear configuration, as the substat option does not exist. Traditional anti-defender/ anti-striker DMG sets won’t work against Jisoo. Unless you are willing to invest in a Volcano set, Jisoo will only be affected by the 3 lines of 51.2% anti-ground DMG shared by all damage dealer gear (and Britra ranged/ melee DMG from latents, but that’s tangential).
Killing Jisoo is a daunting task. Contrasting other ASSRs with clear counterplay, Jisoo is so grossly overtuned that your only real option is to play into the Jisoo mirror match hoping your backline is stronger than theirs. Access to a proper Volcano set opens your options considerably, otherwise it’s too inefficient to dedicate resources towards a scuffed anti-Jisoo unit.
