Lee Yumi is one of many middling frontline tanks that struggle to carve a niche for themselves. She is painfully average, with decent defensive stats and a low impact skill set.
Lee Yumi’s Alternium Reactor improves her effective HP by giving her barriers for every cast of her Special Skill. In spite of the changes, Lee Yumi’s effective HP is still too low to compete with stronger alternatives for the role, though it improves her survivability to the point that the gap in performance is less severe than it previously was. Of note, the barrier provided by Lee Yumi’s reactor is cancelable; Lee Yumi’s actual survivability can swing drastically depending on the presence of barrier/ buff removal.
Lee Yumi’s Level 2 Alternium Reactor directly improves her effective HP by tweaking her HP and EVA.
In PVE, Lee Yumi meets the baseline requirements expected of her as a frontline tank, and contributes nothing more to the team.
In PVP, Lee Yumi is considered one of the weaker options among the viable-but-not-meta frontline tanks. She does not have the stats or the kit to distinguish herself from the pool of stronger alternatives (e.g. Rearm Kaci, Rearm Alex), but for when those stronger alternatives are inevitably rotated out via the weekly ban system, she may see consideration as frontline for the week. However, Lee Yumi tends to get passed up for the role even within her cohort of viable-but-not-meta defenders (e.g. Rearm Chulsoo, Freelancer Kim Chowon).
