Stronghold is a 3-cost version of A.Hilde. He can tank quite a lot of things, but he doesn't do anything besides that. This is why other SSR tanks like Lee Yumi or Serapel are a way better choice for your main tanker. Still, he has the advantage of being able to tank Air enemies, which gives him an edge in stages where this is needed. Also as there are two Strongholds, he can tank more Valid Hits from enemies AOE skills.
Sadly as Kang Minwoo and Overflow were released he lost his spot in Soldier teams because they are much better defenders in Soldier teams than him.
Also, his MDL is the weakest among all Defenders (only 15%), but considering that you summon two units, makes him last quite long.
MDL = Max Damage Limit or DMG Taken Limit is a stat that only appears on SSR rarity Defenders. How does it work? For example, if an employee has 10% MDL it means that any hit that does more damage than 10% of his max HP, will have the part exceeding the MDL value lowered by 80%. This prevents Defenders with MDL from being one-shot by skills/ultimates.
A way to counter MDL is to use employees with great ASPD like Administration Rifleman, Ifrit, or Millia Rage.
