Analysis

Review

Firstly, it is important to know that sleep in this game is a hard CC like stun and freeze, and it is not interrupted when damaged by your allies, unlike most games. This places Naiah as one of the best CC units in the game at the moment. especially when enemies are grouped together. Even though her sleep proc seems to be hindered by RNG, constantly resetting and grinding the RNG is part and parcel of progressing more in story chapters.

On top of that, she does a respectable amount of damage on her M1 and a global ult. Her artifact also provides her a good amount of survivability, which basically renders her invincible every 24s upon getting hit.

At legendary+, this also sleeps all enemies within 2.5m, making her a very hard-to-kill backline compared to other traditional mages. While it might not look impressive in the story since most of the time your backlines are relatively untouched, it is an extremely useful artifact against PvP assassin units.

One thing is that Naiah is sharing the fairy mage role with Vivi, another extremely useful backline that provides teamwide speed buff while dealing incredible DPS herself even post-nerf. Players with limited resources would need to choose 1 unit to prioritize and build, and since Vivi can be used in all contents including boss events, this sadly places Naiah a league below Vivi when it comes to which should you invest first.

This is not to discount how useful Naiah is, since a well-invested Naiah still brings tremendous amounts of CC and DPS to the team.

Single Bosses

For boss stages, since they are not affected by sleep, Naiah’s use is limited at the moment.

PVP

For PVP, Naiah is an excellent backline, probably one of the best due to her sleep and inherent tankiness with her artifact. Not just being able to hard CC the enemy team, but her damage is also pretty good especially when her M1 is casted on a group of backlines.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Hard CC in form of sleep.

  • Great damage potential.

Cons

  • Shares resources with Vivienne and Chloe, making it harder to invest in her at start.

  • Sleep proc can take a lot of RNG.
