Analysis

Review

The game’s only teamwide mana battery, Talia has been a staple across all stages in story mode from early to endgame, and without a doubt deserving of her place in SS. On top of the mana she gives from M1 and Ult, her subs all give her team respectable durability, consisting of barriers, DEF buff, reducing enemy accuracy, and increasing the team’s DEF as well as ATk%.

Her ult is one of the best initiating ults, dealing a ton of damage, knockdowns, heals, and mana regeneration, all of which stabilize your team to survive into the next ult, which is usually a bigger AOE DPS or single target burst. Being a debuffer, she also has excellent usage when facing enemies with any kind of debuffs like bleed, heal reduction, or ATK/DEF reduction. Her own stats, as mentioned, are also very strong, being high in durability while capable of dealing big damage on her ult.

The only reason why Talia isn’t SSS is that while her mana battery is useful, it is not an essential kit when compared to Catherine’s invincibility, which literally enables your team to bypass the first 30 seconds stat check in harder story stages.

Speed has also been shown to be related to mana regeneration, as units gain mana from auto-attacking. As we progress with the game, story fights also tend to revolve around single target burst assassination rather than AOE heals or DPS, since enemy healers generally have Clara, Prim, or Catherine which gives the enemy an incredible amount of HP if not killed instantly. Regardless, Talia is still an excellent support that is integral to any team.

Single Bosses

Talia is a staple healer alongside Prim, being one of the only 2 AOE healer/cleanser while offering the team an ATK buff, further enhancing the overall DPS. Higher mana regeneration also translates to higher DPS since M1s often hit extremely hard for most units.

PVP

Talia is also an excellent support due to her heals, barriers, mana regeneration, and stat buff. Even if she can’t utilize a teamwide ult that stuns, the mana regeneration alone is useful enough to allow your team to M1 first, which can be decisive in mirror matches.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Teamwide Mana Battery

  • Multiple buffs to boost team survivability and damage across her skillset.

Cons

  • Dupe hungry as her skills scale of her stats.

  • AoE Ult fells shorter in lategame due to influx of enemy healers.
