Review
[N Corp. E.G.O::Fell Bullet] Yi Sang is an interesting Poise-centric Identity who utilizes an effect called “Torn Memory” - which was previously used only in a certain E.G.O. This shines the most when a plan and team is made in mind before the fight, as his most damaging skill requires killing an Ally for the ideal outcome. “Torn Memory” is a resource that is spent by Yi Sang’s Skill 3 and it is gained in a small amount from his Skill 1 & Skill 2 second Coins as well as his Defensive skill. If Yi Sang scores a Critical Hit on Skill 1 and Skill 2, “Torn Memory” gain will be increased.
To start off, he has 2 Combat Passives. The First Passive is for maintaining Torn Memory, which would otherwise fade away at the end of the Turn, preventing it from stacking. Second Passive activates if Yi Sang kills an Ally, thus providing him with a buff called “Fell Bullet” which increases his damage a little bit and provides a bit more Poise in general on the next turn if he has made any kills.
Now let’s move on to his Skills:
Skill 1 - See Through Defenses - 1 Coin - Base roll 11 - Max roll 15 - 1 Coin skill with a rather high bonus damage modifier, as far as Skill 1 goes. This skill alongside Yi Sang’s Defensive Skill is the main source of Poise Count, which is needed to maintain steady Critical Hits that will ramp up Yi Sang's damage faster.
Skill 2 - Punch Through - 2 Coins - Base roll 16 - Max roll 20 - 2 Coin skill that serves as the main source of a decent amount of Poise Potency to allow faster Critical Hits. Other than that and an unbreakable 2nd Coin, not much can be said about this skill.
Skill 3 - Target Readjustment Fire - Base roll 18 - Max roll 24 - 2 Attack Weight base - 4 Attack Weight max - Skill 3 is certainly an interesting one as it features A LOT of text. Main things, however, are the targeting conditional and “Torn Memory” conditional. This skill will always target the enemy with the least HP and if the “Torn Memory” is at 7, it will target an ally instead and kill them with the first Coin. This is what yields the most damage due to the amount of modifiers and effects that can make up for the loss of an Ally. Aside from that, this skill is not that impressive.
Defensive Skill - Clashable Counter - Front Line Support - Base roll 12 - Max roll 15 - This skill provides Yi Sang with a little amount of Poise Potency and Count and generates the most “Torn Memory” out of all skills if we do not factor additional gains from landing Critical Hits on Skill 1 and Skill 2. This skill can also be used to prevent Yi Sang from targeting allies on 7 “Torn Memory” stacks.
[N Corp. E.G.O::Fell Bullet] Yi Sang is a great Identity… if you know what you are doing, as due to his kit and conditionals, he is not a Win-rate friendly Identity to use. The Refraction Railway game mode is ideal for him to achieve the most optimal results, but you need a bit of pre-planning and team building that favours Fell Bullet Yi Sang. Without those, his wings are clipped and his potential won’t be reached.
This review omitted the “Bleed” status present in his kit, as it is mostly irrelevant to him and does nothing for Yi Sang. It just exists.
Poise Team: Specifically, one with [Thoracalgia] Ryoshu that can help his Poise generation.
[Fell Bullet] Yi Sang - Faster ramp up and great way of killing an ally for the benefits. Identity and E.G.O. match fully.
Very high damage potential.
Not the easiest to use.
Not auto friendly.
Poise gain can be rough without outside help.
