Review
Minnie is our newest Defense based attacker joining the Dark team and bringing a lot of damage to the table. But will it be enough? Let’s find out!
Powerful damage.
Fun and fast paced playstyle.
Mana Hungry.
New units could replace her soon.
Limited and dupe reliant.
Minnie is a Hunter following a flower theme - all her skills and buffs have terms related to flowers, so let’s see how they work.
Her Basic Attack, Anemone is your standard three hit combo and her Core Attack, Iris, inflicts a [Knock Down] on the opponent.
Her Skill 1, Acacia, is where things get interesting: Minnie takes a Counterattack stance granting herself a 10% Shield and launches Counterattack when hit by the enemy. When Counterattack is activated she grants herself a 30% [Critical Hit Rate Increase] effect, making her very self sufficient. This skill has an increased damage dealt % against Bosses and Elite monsters, further enhancing her destructive power.
Meanwhile, her Skill 2 Allium has a 30% damage boost against normal monsters. Whenever she defeats an enemy with this skill she gains a 5% [Critical Hit Damage Increase] buff with infinite duration, stacking up to 5 times.
Her QTE, Lobelia, is a very simple Dark attack. Now let’s talk about her Ultimate ability, Edelweiss a bit more in detail. Edelweiss starts as a normal Dark attack on the enemy and can morph into two different Ultimate’s depending on her existing buffs.
If she has 3 stacks of [Falling Petals] she activates the [Bloom] buff, that changes her Ultimate into Bloom: Oblivia, increasing the damage by 50% and the Critical Hit Rate by 30% when using this Ultimate skill. When obtaining [Bloom], Minnie charges her power gauge by 100% but after using her changed Ultimate, the [Bloom], [Falling Petals] and [Violet Butterfly] buffs are removed.
Meanwhile, if she has 5 stacks of [Falling Petals] she will activate the [Full Bloom] buff, turning her Ultimate into Full Bloom: Oblivia. With this buff her Critical Hit Rate when using Oblivia is increased by 50% and the damage of the skill increases by 100%. Just like the [Bloom] variant, using the Ultimate will remove [Full Bloom], [Violet Butterfly] and [Falling Petals] buffs from her.
Last but not the least, her Support Skill knocks back the enemy at base.
At A0, she grants her team the [FOREVER] buff when playing in Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions, increasing the damage dealt by 5%.
Using her Core Attack, Iris decreases the cooldown of her Ultimate, Edelweiss by 20 seconds and charges her Power Gauge by 100% - this effect can only be applied once every 20 seconds.
Hitting an enemy with Minnie inflicts the [Red Spider Lily] effect on the enemy and using her Ultimate grants Minnie the [Violent Butterfly] effect on top of 3 stacks of [Falling Petals].
[Red Spider Lily] increases the Dark damage taken from Minnie by 10% for 20 seconds; [Violet Butterfly] is the final personal buff in Minnie’s kit and when obtained she will automatically use her Core Attack. With this buff active, her Core Attack, Skill 1 and Skill 2 deal an additional 50% base damage but with each use of these skills she will lose one stack of [Falling Petals].
After Minnie exhausts all her [Falling Petals] she will refresh the cooldown on her Skill 1 and 2. If her [Violet Butterfly] buff expires she will lose all her Petals and then the [Bloom] or [Full Bloom] buffs.
To make it more simple, after using her Ultimate skill once she will be very powerful thanks to the Violet Butterfly and [Falling Petals] stacks. At this point you want to be careful about the timing of your skills and what version of the Ultimate you want to use to make sure you can adapt to every situation!
At A1 when Minnie enters the stage she gains 100% Power Gauge. Her [Falling Petals] buff now grants [Flower’s Message: Fragment of Memories] and when the last Petal expires, she gains a new buff that grants her 10% Defense and 10% Critical Damage for 20 seconds. This buff can stack up to 3 times.
At A2 she gains a simple 15% Defense bonus.
At A3 [Red Spider Lily] now increases the damage received from Minnie by 30% and using her Skill 1 activates the Critical Hit Rate buff regardless of Minnie performing a Counterattack or not.
At A4 Minnie gains a 20% Basic Skill damage.
At A5 Minnie gains 5 [Fallen Petals] when using her Ultimate. Furthermore, her [Flower’s Message: Fragment of Memories] buff now grants 20% Defense and Critical Damage for 20 seconds when her last Petal expires, for some welcome extra power.
Minnie’s weapon is called Purple’s Butterfly’s Dream and grants Minnie up to 12% Defense and 15% Critical Rate and Damage! Being a DPS it’s super important to invest in Minnie’s weapon.
When it comes to gear, being a Defense scaling character Minnie makes good use of sets that buff the overall performance in team battles (Infamy) or other options like Curse, Armed or Iron Will. On the right side if you are not using Infamy you could use Obsidian, but it’s worth mentioning that Minnie can burn through Mana very quickly. If you are playing Minnie we suggest using Cores that grants more MP and reduces the MP Consumption.
As she scales on Defense you can look for Defense, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage, Damage Increase and Defense Penetration on her gear.
Minnie works well with the rest of the premium Dark team, like Harper and Isla. Obviously you can play her with Lim and Lee Bora instead and she should still be great for progressing players that do not have access to all the meta units, especially since she grants herself a lot of Critical Rate, making her less reliant on supports early on.
Let’s start the discussion with the usual disclaimer: Minnie is a collab unit that may very likely never come back. Because of that she can appear as a very appealing unit, considering you either get her now or might never get more copies in the future. As part of the collaboration players will get one copy of Minnie for free, but with her being a DPS character you will most likely want to get more. Her performance at the moment is very impressive when properly supported and she can even get free dupes thanks to the Collab giving generic uncap materials for collab units - and even an extra copy if you can get her to A5 for a very comfy 3% more Defense.
There’s only one dark shadow looming over Minnie’s future potential and that is Sung Il Hwan. We don’t know yet what role he will cover and how impactful he might be, but being right after Minnie means he will compete with her or might replace other members on the team. Considering SM Baek recently got buffed you might want to consider saving your resources until we know more about Sung Il Hwan, but since recently the Guild Boss meta evolved and dual DPS strategies are becoming more and more common there’s a chance Minnie could be the perfect back up dancer for Sung. We might also get to a point where players will be able to run two teams of the same element for PoD when one of the two advantaged types isn’t well built on your account, so keep in mind that having 2 excellent DPS is a viable option there too!
For F2P and Dolphins we suggest aiming for at least A3 since it removes the need for Counterattacks to get her Critical Hit Rate buff. However in general we’d suggest going for A5 to get the best performance for the character considering it’s needed to get 5 Petals easily for the strongest damaging version of her Ultimate.
MINNIE rating takes into account their performance in all matter of PVE content.

For SSR characters, you always want to use their Signature/EX Weapon - they are simply the best for them. Until you obtain the signature weapon, just use the options listed below. The priority is set from left to right. Also, If you have a Signature/EX weapon for a Hunter that is not in your team you can consider using it for the raw stats alone - as long as it matches the character.
