Review
Miyeon is our first Light Collaboration Hunter, sharing the stage with Thomas and the rest of the Light backup dancers. Learn how she performs in our review - will she be a hit or a miss?
Free copies, making it easier to raise.
Quirky and colorful animations.
Good alternative to existing units - we’ve had enough of old mens in Light teams!.
Potentially limited, meaning either you get her now or you will no longer be able to get her copies later.
She benefits from slower fights that won't dodge/get away from the Crystals.
Doesn't really replace Light top DPS and is basically a sidegrade depending on the mode.
Miyeon is a Light Defense scaling fighter that acts like a DPS in the Light team.
Her basic attack, Echo Strike, doesn't have any special effect and her core attack sends the enemy [Airborne] at the end of the combo.
Her skills are a bit more special:
Skill 1, Descending Glissando, [Knocks Down] the enemy and drops a [Green Mana Crystal] on the ground. You'll see that Miyeon interacts a lot with Crystals: this one deals damage equal to 250% of the skill's damage on impact.
Skill 2, Doubletime Lunge, is a toggle skill and sends the enemy [Airborne] and places [Yellow Mana Power Crystals] to the ground. Using this skill also activates the Critical Slash effect for 10 seconds.
You can keep the Critical Slash effect active as a toggle: the Crystal deals damage equal to 250% of the skill damage and activates the following effects:
[Breath] charges Miyon's power gauge by 10% and grants her a Shield based on 5% of her max HP. This buff lasts 5 seconds [Vocalization] Increases the Ultimate damage by 10% and grants another Shield for 5 seconds
[Reverberation] increases the Core Attack damage by 10% and also grants a Shield.
Her QTE skill Duel Aria simply sends the enemy [Airborne] when hitting and lastly, her Ultimate attack, Headliner, inflicts a huge burst of damage, disables the active effects of Critical Slash (from her skill 2) and resets the cooldowns of her skill 1 and 2, basically enabling her to spam her skills. Her Support Skill is very simple, knocking the enemy down and dealing some burst Light damage.
At A0, when Miyeon activates her Ultimate - Headliner, she activates the [HighLight] effect on her. HighLight lasts for 15 seconds and causes Miyeon to drop a [Black Mana Power Crystal] that deals damage based on 250% of her core damage. HighLight also grants Miyeon 15% Light damage and 30% Defense up for 30% seconds, giving her a powerful increase in performance.
At A1 Miyeon gains 50% power gauge when starting the stage, and using Headliner automatically activates her Core Attack while also granting Miyeon 600 MP back.
At A2 she increases her Light damage by 15%.
A3 is a significant performance boost, allowing her [Shield] to stack up to 10 times, for 15 seconds. When the [Shield] activates she gains 6% Defense buff, stacking up to 10 times.
A4 increases the Defense of Light team members by 3% for every Light member in the team.
Finally, A5 grants Miyeon 10% Critical Hit Rate and 20% Critical Damage for 15 seconds. Using her Skill 1, 2 and her toggle skill she gains 3% Power Gauge and decreases the cooldown of her Ultimate by 4.5 seconds.
Miyeon's weapon, The battlefield's Guiding star, increases Miyeon's Defense and adds a powerful debuff to her Core Attack: enemies within 20 meters take up to 30% damage from Miyeon for 30 seconds. This effect has a 20 second cooldown.
It’s without a doubt a very powerful weapon that enables Miyeon to lay down the pain.
As per her gear, Miyeon works nicely with the 8 piece Infamy set, 8 piece Curse or a mix of 4x Curse and 4x Obsidian. Iron Will is usable on her but she has a lot of % Defense stacking, leading to diminishing returns. Considering she doesn't get many boosts to her Critical stats in her kit it's encouraged to build Critical to ensure Miyeon can deal high and consistent damage.
Teamwise, Miyeon is a solid Thomas replacement, meaning she works great in the current Light team with Gunhee and Akari. In Team Fights, she can also easily be paired with Thomas and Gunhee to fully capitalize on Gunhee’s powerful buffs.
Players playing during the collaboration will receive one - or more - copies of Miyeon for free. So, the big question should be if you should roll for Miyeon dupes.
Her kit is very strong and places her as a powerful alternative to Thomas Andre, that can be stronger in fights where the enemy doesn't move much (like PoD) or weaker in fights where the enemy moves a lot, like in guild boss. If you want to improve your Guild Boss performance she can be a valuable addition to your team - just remember, the Light version of Cha exists, so you are not entirely out of options for that!
For F2P: A1 is a good stopping point for Miyeon, given she speeds up her gameplay loop while also gaining some MP recovery.
For Dolphins: A3 provides the biggest bang for buck, as it grants Miyeon a significant power boost.
For Whales and Big Spenders: A5 is another powerful boost to Miyeon's kit, granting her more Defense, quicker power gain and Ultimate reduction.
As of now, we have no confirmation regarding if the collaboration units will remain or not after the end of the collaboration period. If you like the characters, regardless of meta, you should roll them now to your desired ascension to ensure you won't regret missing out later. We will still compare them to the currently available units, so that you can get a good feel of where they stand in the meta and who they replace/offer alternatives for.
MIYEON rating takes into account their performance in all matter of PVE content.

For SSR characters, you always want to use their Signature/EX Weapon - they are simply the best for them. Until you obtain the signature weapon, just use the options listed below. The priority is set from left to right. Also, If you have a Signature/EX weapon for a Hunter that is not in your team you can consider using it for the raw stats alone - as long as it matches the character.
