The Main Character of Sister Leveling, Sung Jinah is finally here to support her brother and the rest of the Wind team.

Skill summary & Intro

Jinah is a Defense scaling Wind supporting mage, competing with Han Se Mi for a slot in the Wind team. Let’s see how she fares! The core of her kit is her switch between Umbrella form and Lance form. She will float in the air after attacking and when she is in her Umbrella mode her skills become stronger and get extra effects.

Her Basic Skill, Sword Dancer, is your standard 3 hit Basic Attack combo.

Her Core attack, Torrent changes depending on if Jinah is in her Umbrella Form or Lance Form: After dealing damage it grants a [Shield] to the user (stacking up to 3 times) and it becomes Umbrella. Umbrella form: Torrent when the user is in her Umbrella Form. This new skill inflicts [Wind Damage Taken Increase] to the enemy and Jinah maintains the Umbrella form for a few seconds after using the skill.

Her Skill 1, Reverse Tempest Cleave grants her a Shield when cast and transforms to Umbrella: Reverse Tempest Cleave when in Umbrella form. This skill deals 150% more damage compared to the base versions and transforms back in the normal version after hitting the enemy.

Her skill 2, Converging WhirlWind, is similar to her Core Attack as it grants her a Shield and when in Umbrella mode it also inflicts a [Wind Damage Taken Increase] debuff on the opponent.

Her QTE, Aero Disruption grants her a 60% CD Reduction to her Ultimate when the [Sudden Showers] buff is active and also refreshes the effect on Jinah. This buff is provided by her Ultimate skill, Stormwind Serenade. Said Ultimate grants the [Sudden Showers] effect on the entire team and a stack of the [Aero] buff. [Sudden Showers] lasts 25 seconds and provides HP recovery every second while also buffing the damage inflicted and reducing the damage taken. [Aero]stacks up to 5 times and provides a 2% Wind Damage buff.

Lastly, her support skill, Typhoon, is a bit complex, when used she will grant Sung Jinwoo 4 instances of the [Quick Attack: Gale Wings] buff. This buff lasts for 25 seconds and when used removes a stack to grant 20% Skill Damage and 20% Wind Attack Up. The skill will also inflict [Unrecoverable] to the target for 30 seconds, making it a very powerful support skill to have.

Ascension passives
  • At A0 Sung Jinah obtains the [Wind] effect when using her Skill 1, 2 and when using the [Umbrella] version of Skill 1, 2 and her Core Attack. Each stack of the buff increases the damage of Jinah’s skills by 50% and, once her [Wind] buff hits 3 charges, it grants [Gale Wings] to the rest of the party. The [Wind] buff is removed when Jinah tags out and it decays every 15 seconds in Guild Boss or other party battles. The [Gale Wings] buff lasts 60 seconds and whenever a hunter or ally uses a skill or Ultimate it removes a stack to give the user the [Wings of Freedom] buff, which increases the Basic Skill Damage and Ultimate damage by 10% for 5 seconds.

  • At A1 [Gale Wings] now also restores 100 MP to the entire team when an ally procs the effect. The [Wings of Freedom] buff will now buff damage by 20%.

  • At A2, the [Wings of Freedom] buff now also adds 10% Wind Damage bonus to the user and skills used will inflict [Unrecoverable] to the enemy for 30 seconds,

  • At A3, whenever Jinah grants herself [Wind] it will grant the entire party the [Wind’s Touch effect], granting a 1% buff to Attack, Defense and a 0.5% Skill Damage buff. For Wind allies this grants an additional 1% Attack, Defense and 0.5% Skill Damage. The buff has no expiration and can stack up to 10 times.

  • At A4, for every Wind Hunter in the team, every Wind Hunter gets a 5% damage bonus.

  • At A5, using her QTE or Ultimate grants 1 instance of [Aero] to the entire team. When using her Ultimate in a teamfight you can use a buffed version of her Ultimate, Serenade: Aero Disruption, again. This buffed up version deals 300% more damage, reduces her Ultimate CD by 60% and refreshes the [Sudden Showers] buff on Jinah. Finally, when Jinah or an ally tags out it grants a stack of [Aero] to the entire team.

Weapon and gear

Being a supporting mage Jinah can either run a more traditional support approach (Burning Blessing/Desire, 4x Angel in White/Guardian+Sylph) or run a more damage oriented build like Lee Bora, using Curse and 4x Expert for example.

What you run depends on the other units in your team - that is if you are running a support version of SJW, make sure you are tweaking your sets accordingly.

Her weapon, Blue Monsoon, grants her a Defense buff and increases the team’s Skill Damage by 2% when using skills in her Umbrella mode, stacking up to 5 times for a very sweet 10% Skill Damage buff. Absolutely invest in this weapon if you plan to run Jinah, as it improves her buffing capabilities significantly with a powerful and unique Skill Damage buff.

Teammates

Teamwise, Jinah is a solid replacement/side grade to Han Se Mi. She works nicely with the Wind team, meaning you can pair her with Goto and Lennart, since she can inflict Unrecoverable to trigger Hunter’s Mark. The main difference between the two supports is their DPS: being a mage, Jinah buffs similarly to Han Se Mi but her personal damage is much higher, making her the preferred choice for Guild Boss.

Should you roll Sung Jinah?

Jinah is an interesting Hunter considering she is undeniably a power pick that doesn’t necessarily shake the meta. For players that are willing to save their resources for the G-Idle collab part 2 it might be best to save your rolls and see how the new units perform, but she is going to be a valid addition for Guild Boss focused players that want to increase their overall Rage score considering the bonus damage from Jinah.

  • For F2P: A1 as usual unlocks a nice early power boost.

  • For Dolphins: A3 is generally enough but A4 adds a lot of damage to Wind teams, especially in Guild Boss.

  • For Whales: A5 and above is the way to go for the more powerful buffing and the extra ascension stats to increase your Rage count.

Best Weapons

For SSR characters, you always want to use their Signature/EX Weapon - they are simply the best for them. Until you obtain the signature weapon, just use the options listed below. The priority is set from left to right. Also, If you have a Signature/EX weapon for a Hunter that is not in your team you can consider using it for the raw stats alone - as long as it matches the character.
