Notable Things with Future Sight
From experiences on the Japanese server, we’re able to determine which of the upcoming banners are most worth saving your resources for and pulling on.
There are a lot of cards and umas that are temporarily strong. They might be the best in one Champion’s Meeting, or last a few months before being replaced. For free-to-play or low-spending players, these should generally be avoided. A pity costs 30,000 Carats, and winning a Champion’s Meeting is only 1500+10 tickets.
Below is a list of the most notable umas and cards that are coming up in the next half year, from now to the beginning of the third scenario. If there’s an uma you really like coming out, and she’s not in this list, go ahead and pull for her. You can get more out of an uma you like than a meta uma.
Summer Maruzensky

Summer Maru will be the best Front Runner for a few months. She has a great unique. 0.35 speed for 5s in the mid leg lets her take the lead easier, allowing her to use Seiun’s unique. You can also time it with certain heals to last into the spurt, getting an even greater boost. Her release basically removes Seiun’s chance of winning races herself.
Front Runner fans usually like bringing two Front Runners, so even when Valentine’s Bourbon releases, she can still see use as the second.
Nice Nature Wit

This card gives
Riko / Rice Banner

This banner marks the start of the Unity Cup (known on the Japanese server as Aoharu) Scenario.
Riko is a very useful friend card. She gives you a ton of

Rice gives
Kitasan / Pasa Rerun

If you don’t have Kitasan and are sad about that, you could get her here. However, the upcoming Fuku and Top Road banners have free pulls and give Speed cards, so you should probably just save for those instead. Kitasan’s 5% Race Bonus means she’s not quite ideal in Scenario 3 (though can definitely be used), so it’s a bit late to be picking her up. Scenario 4 will also bring with it another Speed card, and then Scenario 5 has the card that finally powercreeps Kitasan.
Mejiro Dober

Not only is this Erzzy’s favourite uma, her unique is very welcome for backliners. It’s similar to Mejiro Ryan’s and Seiun Sky’s, giving acceleration on a corner during the spurt. However, unlike Ryan’s which requires 6th, hers works in either 5th or 6th, doubling the range. In exchange, it doesn’t work on most Final Corner tracks. When she works, your Late Surger parents will generally always be Ryan + Dober, and often your End Closers too.
Also worth noting she has a gold debuff, so she could be used as a second debuffer if you lack Bride Mayano.
Marvelous Sunday Welfare

When she comes out, she’s not really notable, but she has 15% Race Bonus and thus is very meta in the MANT scenario. Definitely don’t miss out on MLBing this one during her event.
Christmas Oguri Cap

Christmas Oguri is unique in that she’s both dominant AND prolific. Usually, umas are only dominant on certain tracks, but Christmas Oguri can excel on basically any track. Her unique triggers once you activate three recovery skills, giving both acceleration and speed, allowing you to carefully choose your recoveries to optimize when to use it. Is there an uphill near the spurt? Make her a Front Runner and get Moxie to trigger her unique there. Downhill? Make her an End Closer and get After-School Stroll. Is the track 2000~2500m long? Get Triple 7s. She’s incredibly flexible, and building her is somewhat unique, so pulling her is also good if you want some variety in your trainings.
Fuku / Ayabe Banner

This banner had free pulls on the Japanese server, and Fuku is quite a strong Speed card. 10% Race Bonus makes her solid in MANT and she’ll be a top card for quite a while.
Admire Vega isn’t very notable. Focus on Fuku. But, if your free pulls are bad, the upcoming Narita Top Road banner isn’t far away and will give you another chance at a good Speed card.
Valentines Mihono Bourbon

If you’re going to pull any uma, make it this one.
Valentine’s Bourbon is the strongest generic Front Runner and one of the easiest to raise. Even on the Japanese server, she still sees frequent use. She has Escape Artist, the best mid-leg Front skill, and her unique is also a mid-leg speed skill, just like Summer Maru. On top of that, she has Groundwork built-in, so you don’t need to inherit it, along with Front Runner Savvy for a free green and even Focus if you can’t find two more. As if that weren’t enough, she has an event that gives her Early Lead, another one of the mandatory Front Runner skills after it gets buffed. If you don’t like training Front Runners because of the effort required, Valentine’s Bourbon can change that.
Make A New Track Scenario

This scenario is either going to be the best or the worst scenario for you. It’s extremely racing heavy. Seeing umas who do 40+ races is not uncommon here. As such, Race Bonus becomes an extremely critical stat, and is why the Race Bonus of cards keeps getting called out here. It also makes the runs take upwards of an hour, but in exchange they are quite consistent.
At this time, many umas and skills receive buffs. Notably, here is where Front Runners start wanting Early Lead, Prudent Positioning, and Dodging Danger. Taiki Shuttle also finds a new niche instead of being basically the same as Maru. There’s a Full List here.
For quality of life, resting during Summer will cure most negative statuses, and regular resting will also have a chance to cure them.
In races,

Top Road Banner

This banner had free pulls on the Japanese server and also marks the start of the MANT scenario. She’s 10% Race Bonus, like Fuku, making her good in the scenario. Within MANT, she’s better than Fuku, but outside of it, Fuku is better. If you had bad free pulls on Fuku, you can pull here.

The Admire Vega SR also comes out here. This is another 15% Race Bonus card and gets used a lot during MANT. But, if you don’t get her, the Urara from the friendship shop is a fine replacement. Her existence definitely lowers the value of the earlier Power Admire Vega card that came along with Fuku.
Kitasan Black

This is the uma banner marking the start of the MANT scenario.
Seiun Sky’s unique is great for Front Runners. But, it doesn’t work on most Long Distance tracks. Kitasan fills that gap. Her unique’s conditions are very strange, but long story short, she gives Front Runners an acceleration unique on the Long G1s: Tennosho Spring, Arima Kinen, and Kikuka Sho. She’s also quite a capable Long Front Runner herself.
