General info

Making a roar with her release, Mereoleona is a powerful defender who will burn anyone trying to stop her from winning.

Her skill 1 is a single target attack, inflicting [Taunt] for two turns on the target if it's suffering from any instance of [Continuous Damage]. Her skill 2 is an area attack that will inflict [Barrier Removal] on the target, while also granting [Mana Skin] to all allies for 2 turns if you have her skill page. [Mana Skin] is an exclusive buff that grants 30% of [Reduced DMG Taken], as well as immunity to [Status Aliments].

Her special attack is a single target attack that will inflict [Barrier Removal] before hitting the enemy, while also granting Mereleona a 65% [Increased DMG buff] for each instance of [Burn] on the enemy. Lastly, if she kills the target she gets an extra turn.

Her combined attack is very powerful, inflicting [Burn] on all the enemy team for 2 turns. Lastly, her LR passive grants her [Mana Skin] when she reaches 8 SP.

While Mereoleona is a defender, she is less of a tank and more of a powerful bruiser that can still deal respectable damage while providing good party utility as well as inflicting [Burn] on the enemy team. Her ability to inflict this debuff very reliably on the enemy is the glue that finally brings burn teams together, elevating units like S3 Fuegoleon and Hateful Fana to the next level.

She is going to be an amazing asset for players at every stage of the game, and considering how effective her role is, she is here to stay in the meta for a long time.

Dupes

Mereona gains a few powerful effects with her dupes. At Enchantment 2, she will inflict [Taunt] on the enemy with the highest All ATK at the start of the wave. This helps a lot with her tank utility, as she also has a built-in 30% damage reduction until she uses her ultimate which will be in play while the DPS is taunted on her.

She really shines when she can unlock her Enchantment 5 passive: when hit, she will inflict continuous [Burn] on all enemies for 2 turns. This allows Mereo to quickly setup an exploding play from Fuego, Fana or even Mereo herself, considering her damage bonus against targets under [Continuous Damage]. More importantly than the damage increase, it allows tou to be much more versatile with her skill 1 taunt. If you plan to run her in burn teams, you absolutely want to go all in on her and get this. Mereoleona should be max duped, as without it she cannot perform her tanking capabilities from the LR+2 Taunt and the selection of who to taunt with the Skill 1 due to everyone being burnt.

Skill page

Mereoleona's skill page grants herself a 55%/100% chance to give a 50/70% [Increased DMG Dealt] buff on herself before hitting a target when she's under the effect of [Mana Skin]. This is a very easy-to-trigger and powerful effect that greatly improves her damage potential. Ideally, you'd always run this as the extra bonus provided to Skill 2 is just that good. If you don't have the skill page you can run a generic tank skill page like Moonlight Amulet, but you should really try to obtain her signature one. Even one copy of her signature is fine, but ideally, one dupe or three dupes would be beneficial to get the increased chance to proc.

Mereoleona is not all about damage, so don't worry. Her burns and defensive utility are more than enough to make her useful.

PvP

Mereoleona is a PvP beast that can fit in quite a few team options, from double tank teams with Mereoleona and Black Asta, to nuke Clover Academy Fuegoleon teams, to Mono Green Teams!

For example, you can run a very powerful mono Sense team with Mereoleona, Hateful Fana, s5 Sharlotte and Swimsuit Vanessa. The barriers coupled with the protection from Vanessa will allow Fana to go absolutely wild on the enemy, especially if you have s3 Fuegoleon skill page on her. If you don't have Swimsuit Vanessa, you can either run Rill for damage amplification or Gueldre for some more defensive utility.

Another alternative is pairing up Mereoleona with William, so that she can set up a very powerful combined attack on the enemy. The last two slots would be s3 Fuegoleon and either S5 Charlotte for the buffs and barriers or Vanessa to offer more protection to Fuegoleon.

Going for a playstyle including Summer Gauche is ideal when fighting other Mereoleona Teams, as he will block D.O.T.s. Consider running S5 Charlotte, Gauche, Mereo, and S3 Fuegoleon. Gauche will provide damage reduction, the D.O.T. block and buff Fuegoleon's damage.

In the future, teams with Black Asta, Zora, Vanessa, and Party Mimosa will be oppressive.

Black Asta and Mereoleona together will be able to survive many hits while giving an absurd amount of defensive buffs to the whole team, and paired with Zora, his reflection damage will be extremely strong and worthwhile on that team. Vanessa and Party Mimosa on Mono Green will be able to single-handedly allow Mereoleona to live by providing 3 whole turns of invulnerability and immortality to Mereoleona. This will allow Mereoleona to be more offensive in her gear build and be a very toxic team, even with a resurrection available
