There are 6 attributes in Neverness to Everness, and they can interact with each other to trigger an Esper Cycle. Esper Cycles can only be triggered with 2 or more adjacent attributes on the Cycle wheel. When a character is available to participate in an Esper Cycle, their portrait will glow. An Esper Cycle is triggered when a player fills their Cycle Rate and switches onto a new character, triggering that character's intro skill accompanied by the Esper Cycle. If you are attempting to trigger a 3-attribute Esper Cycle, you will first need to trigger the 2-attribute cycle and then swap to a character representing the 3rd attribute in the trio.

The damage dealt by the Esper Cycles scales with the Cycle Intensity of the characters that participated in creating the Cycle. Unlike in some other games with a similar interaction, it is not necessary for the character with the highest Cycle Intensity to be the one that ends up on-field.

Every character also has a unique interaction with a specific Esper Cycle. For example, the MC can trigger healing when a character gains Ultimate Energy from Charge. Some characters obtain buffs, debuff enemies, or simply deal more damage with the Cycle. It will be interesting to see how the devs continue to expand on this system to spice up team building in the future.

Note: If you have built up your Cycle Gauge and swap to a character that has no potential for a Cycle, then they will swap normally without using their intro skill or triggering a Cycle.

Remora
The target enters Remora for 5s after triggering Esper Cycle, slowing their movement and attack speed. The effect decays over time, and will have a shorter duration if repeatedly applied.

Blossom
Generates 1 Vita Bud near the target after triggering Esper Cycle, which blossoms 5 Vita Pistils. Vita Pistils then fly toward targets within range, exploding every 2s and dealing DMG to an area.
Up to 3 Vita Buds can exist on the field at once.

Nanally- Prevents Vita Buds attacks from pausing during Time Stop.

Mint- Expands Vita Pistils' damage area on hit.

Hotori- Prevents Vita Bud attacks from pausing during Time Stop.

Jiuyuan- Spawns 1 additional Vita Bud and increases Vita Bud limit on field to 6.

Hexed
Deals an additional instance of follow-up attack DMG to the target equal to 20% of Anima and Incantation DMG taken within 12s after triggering Esper Cycle.

Inflicts Nova on the target for 5s after triggering Esper Cycle. When the effect ends, the target takes massive Mental Damage.

Fadia- Drains 10% of Fadia's base Max HP from the target at 5% efficiency when the Nova state ends. Total drained cannot exceed 50% of Fadia's base Max HP. Restores both parties' stats upon exiting combat.

Haniel- Drains 8% of Haniel's Base ATK from the target at 200% efficiency and adds it to all team members' ATK when the Nova state ends. The total drained cannot exceed 16% of Haniel's Base ATK or 20% of the enemy's initial ATK.

Aurelia- Deals 3 instances of Psyche DMG to the target after their Nova status ends, each equal to 50% of ATK.

Inflicts Scorch on the target for 15s, dealing DoT after triggering Esper Cycle.

Baicang- Inflicts another instance of Scorch with the same effect as the existing one when a Power Word is generated on a target affected by Scorch.

Sakiri- Increases DoT taken by the target by 25% for each type of DoT effect while in Scorch state, up to 100%.

Adler- Applies one of three random debuffs whenever Scorch is inflicted on a target: -20% ATK, -10% Esper RES, or +10% Break Efficiency, lasting for 15s. The same effect cannot stack.

Increases the target's Psyche and Lakshana DMG taken by 20% for 12s after triggering Esper Cycle.

Grants the active character 10 additional Ultimate Energy when Lebenblumes hit targets affected by Remora.

Zero- Restores HP equal to 50% of Zero's Base ATK when the active character gains Ultimate Energy.

Chiz- Grants active characters 4 additional Charge.

Edgar- Grants 120 Ultimate Energy instantly when a character triggers Charge using a Support Skill. Disables Ultimate Energy gain from Vita Pistils when hitting Slowed targets afterward. Cooldown: 30s.

Discord
Deducts a percentage of the target's Break when they are simultaneously affected by Nova and Scorch.

Lacrimosa- Deals additional DMG equal to 400% of ATK to the target when Discord is triggered, if the target is already Broken.

Daffodil- Further reduces the target's Break cap by 10% for 30s while affected by Discord and restores it to normal upon leaving combat. Stacks Discord Enhancement effects up to a maximum reduction of 30% of the target's initial Break cap.
