Character Function and Summary

Marian is a Healer who can increase allies Max HP and Cleanse debuffs.

She gains her Diagnosis stacks when any ally is below 70% HP at the start of her turn, which she can use to boost the healing from her Skill 3 and activate the damage buff of her 5-star weapon.

In terms of overall survivability, Marian is still unmatched in the Medic role in CN given she heals a lot, can Cleanse debuffs, and can increase party’s Max HP to prevent one shots. She can also Revive 1 ally once at Awareness 6 but that should never be used as a revived ally will lose all their buffs.

Character Synergies
  • Closer.S (CN only): Closer.S needs healing to decrease her Skill 3 cooldown and she gains more Attack based on her Max HP, both of which Marian can provide.

Important Awareness / Weapon Values
  • Awareness 1: This gives Marian more support capabilities by giving allies she overhealed 20% Pierce.

  • Weapon: Her 5 star weapon increases her Healing Effect and gives the party a good damage buff for 1 turn when spending Diagnosis stacks. Both are very good to have as it makes her a better healer and provides more support.

Cons

  • Heavy SP Cost of Skill 3.

  • As the Max HP buff from Skill 3 is only for 2 turns and Marian shouldn’t go last, in order to make that have permanent uptime you’ll have to use it every turn.

Make sure to have some Speed as Minami has a very low base Speed of 94, you usually want her to go first or second in order to cleanse debuffs and buff the party.
