Should You Build? (TLDR)
He’s free
Review
Alexios is a free character in the Assassin’s Creed Collab. His kit is heavily tied to the other Assassin's Creed characters, meaning you will likely need at least one of them for him to function at his full potential. If you have them, that’s great, but many people will not, which could limit his effectiveness. That said, he can still generate a decent amount of Adrenaline on his own to use his ultimate. However, without allies who can trigger [Assassination], or anyone with the [Assassination] role on the team, he will not be able to gain Adrenaline nearly as quickly.
But let’s assume you have either Ezio, Kassandra, or maybe both. How does he work? He is actually quite a simple character to use overall. It is worth noting that, like the other Assassin's Creed characters, he does not use Moxie. Instead, he uses something called Adrenaline, which he gains at the start of every round due to his passive or when another ally (which can only be one of the other two AC characters) triggers [Assassination]. Another effect of his passive is that if he is on a team with another [Assassination] character, any triggered [Assassination] gives him a chance to cast his Ultimate, “Sun of Fear,” immediately, 5% chance, but 10% if you have Kassandra specifically in your team.
His skills are also pretty simple. You have “Stronger than Ares,” which is a single attack that grants Adrenaline (+1, +2, +4) to help build up your move. Then his other skill, “Better Than Apollo,” is a mass attack targeting two enemies, and it grants Adrenaline (+1, +2, +4) if you land a critical hit.
His ultimate is Sun of Fear, which is a mass attack and allows him to gain [Blood of Isu], which functions similar to [Assasnination] by dealing additional DMG that can stack up to 5 times.
[Assassination] is essentially a new mechanic that increases final damage based on Crit. For example, Ezio uses it to gain buffs that boost the entire team’s damage output. It’s also somewhat similar to how Eureka works, since it is triggered by other characters and grants effects depending on their kit.
We don’t yet know if this archetype will appear outside of the Assassin's Creed characters. And while he is thankfully free, if you do not have Ezio or Kassandra, it really feels like you are missing part of his kit. In that case, he essentially becomes a character who is just meant to spam his ultimate. But since he doesn’t use Moxie, no one else can support him in doing that. That said, he does build Adrenaline passively and through his own skills, so he will still get there eventually. With full support from his [Assassination] allies, though, he can ult more frequently, deal much higher damage with it, and sometimes even trigger it for free.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- If you have his needed collab friends, he is a very consistent ultimate user with rampant increases to his Moxie equivalent and a random chance to just use it randomly makes him quite effective.
- In an Assassination team, he performs well as a sub-DPS, enabling Assassination to be triggered. This, for example, helps Kassandra gain her ultimate and extra buffs, and Ezio can also use it to grant team buffs.
- Even without Ezio and Kassandra, he can build up his own Andrelanine quickly recently, at least 2 per turn just by existing assuming you get all his copies. You can potentially get up to 4 Andrelanine per incantation, so he can become a decent ultimate user, but not as consistent.
Cons
- The Assassin’s Creed collaboration is likely going to be a one-time banner, meaning you’ll need to get his teammates during the event. Since they are all 6-stars, it might be very difficult to get both.
- Outside of the archetype, he doesn’t have too much other features other than being able to get his own ultimate out and his decent damage.
Portrays
You can get all of his copies for free. Most of them are percentage damage buffs, but his second portray increases the amount of Adrenaline he gains to 2 per round passively, which definitely makes him more self-sufficient.
Great Synergies
Alexios is clearly meant to be with the other Assassian Creed collab character. While he may not be the best fit for most other teams, he can still serve as a solid option for players who haven’t built many five-star characters yet. Since he can build up his own ultimate in a semi consistent matter even without help. Between Ezio and Kassandra, it’s more important to have Kassandra since Alexios will be able to have a higher chance to get his Ultimate out that way, and their kits are more integrated in general.
Psychubes

- Brave New World: A classic Psychube but it works well for Alexios who will be using his ultimate a lot. Ultimate Might increase + Incantation Might of the next Incantation.
- Hopscotch can provide up to 16% Ultimate Might and the Incantation Might increase is also useful. His Ultimate is a mass attack, so in a fight with weaker mobs this can be easy to set up.
- Never-Ending Q&A - Alexios again wants to cast his ultimate a lot, so he should be able to stack the Crit DMG well here.
- Balance, Please - Simple choice it gives him 12%–24% DMG Bonus against every afflatus (except Intelligence) and a hefty 18% Ultimate Might

- This is the AC team, but since this is an Alexios review, let’s focus on that. Alexios is essentially an Ultimate spammer who relies on Ezio and Kassandra to trigger [Assassination] and generate Adrenaline even more quickly. Without their support, he can still do it, but not as much. With them, however, he can continuously build Adrenaline and spam his mass attacks making him likely a very solid damage dealer. Other characters outside can’t help generate his ultimate, due to him not using Moxie.
