Should You Pull? (TLDR)
Moldir is the weakest addition of the Anniversary patch. However, she's still a fine addition to the “Ultimate” archetype. Her buffs may not be as impactful to the team as E!Melania's, but are nothing to scoff at. In fact, E!Melania, Recoleta, and Moldir, form the current main triad of Ultimate teams. If you like that type of team and its variations, Moldir may be a good pick for you. Otherwise, you can skip her without a worry.
Review
Moldir has four key utilities that can greatly help any Ultimate-focused team:
- She can grant extra AP,
- buff Ultimate DMG,
- buff Critical Rate (with the bonus of converting extra Crit. Rate into Crit. DMG),
- and buff Ultimate Crit. DMG.
Starting with her inheritance, her main mechanic is called [Readiness]. Each stack is calculated individually, can go up to 50 and she gains one stack each time an ally consumes Moxie. Since the stacks only last three rounds, in order to be efficient, she has to be in a team with fast Ultimate cycling. [Readiness] grants several benefits the more stacks Moldir has, the most notable ones being +2% Ultimate DMG per stack when at 20 stacks or above, and +30% Critical Rate whose overflow can be converted to bonus Critical DMG when at 30 stacks or above.
In order to facilitate her own stacking of [Readiness] as well as her team's Ultimate cycling, both of Moldir's Incantations play important roles and should be used to balance the flow of the fight.
“The Past Shattered” inflicts [Passion Drain] on the target and grants [Continuous Action] to Moldir. The first effect can help her allies gain moxie faster, while the second grants AP+1, a very useful effect for all purposes.
“The Future Reclaimed” is a self-counter. It grants Moldir 2~5 stacks of Readiness. If Moldir has at least 10 stacks of [Readiness] (and consequently the [Assertiveness] status), she'll counter with her Ultimate. She won't gain any extra stacks of [Readiness] through this method, since no Moxie is spent. However, she will grant herself and her allies the buffs from her Ult: [Ceremonious: Ultimate DMG] and [Doctrine] (to self only). Doctrine is an additional Ultimate Might buff, which means that the ideal play here is to use “The Future Reclaimed” first when at 4 Moxie, and only then cast her Ult actively.
If Moldir doesn't have 10 stacks of [Readiness] when casting “The Future Reclaimed”, she will counter with “The Past Shattered” in an equal rank as “The Future Reclaimed” cast, thus ensuring that Moldir remains a very AP positive character.
Her Ult, “Astray No More”, as already explained, can empower the entire team's Ultimate Critical DMG, as well as Moldir's own Ultimate DMG. It deals almost double the damage if cast actively instead of through Riposte, and that includes a synergy with other characters who can trigger their allies’ Ultimate, such as Recoleta's “Flood of Fiction”. “Casting Actively” means, in other words, that Moxie has been spent. In that sense, Moldir grants stacks of [Readiness] to herself, and since “Flood of Fiction” spends Moxie first to auto-cast the Ultimate before restoring up to 5 Moxie, then that combo works as well. In most cases you will likely prefer to use “Flood of Fiction” for Recoleta herself since her Ultimate is more powerful. However, for long battles, and especially early in them, it may be worth it to get Moldir's buffs up and running first.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Lots of buffs for Ultimates;
- Very AP positive, can consistently grant AP+1;
- Her own Ultimate can get quite powerful, making her a quite good Sub-DPS as well.
Cons
- E!Melania's buffs are stronger and easier to stack than Moldir's;
- Needs many Ultimates being cast often in order to upkeep a high amount of stacks of [Readiness];
- Not very useful outside her own niche, limited use.
Portrays
P1 and P2 are her best cost-benefit.
Firstly, P1 increases the duration of her [Continuous Action] to 2 turns, which can be quite a QoL and AP saver. If you want to invest further, P2 slightly increases the potency of Moldir's buffs from her stacks of [Readiness]; At 50 stacks she gives 125% Ultimate DMG bonus instead of 100%, and +40% Crit. Rate instead of +30%. The latter is arguably more impactful, considering that while under “Armament Enhancement”, excess Critical Rate is converted into Critical DMG. Thus, Moldir's P2 can help trigger that overflow more easily, as well as increasing overall damage dealt.
Great Synergies
Anyone whose focus lies on dealing damage through Ultimates, such as Recoleta, Hissabeth and Buddy.
She can also pair well with characters who buff carries of that niche, such as Melania, Getian, Lopera, Name Day, etc.
It's important noting that while Moldir's buffs have great Synergy with the Assassin's Creed collab characters (if they're using Ultimate builds), they won't interact with Moldir's [Readiness] gain mechanic, making it harder for her to gain stacks if placed in that team.
Psychubes

- “Family Mentor”, Moldir's signature Psychube, works almost as an extension of her ultimate and increases the potency of the buffs that she gets to herself.
- “Never-Ending Q&A” is a good alternative for a damage oriented Moldir, while “Her Second Life” can be used as a support option to bring healing and free up a team slot for another Support or DPS.

Teams
A few suggestions are listed below. 3-People teams are highlighted, with the 4th slot added at the side to provide a 4-P variation of the same team or even insights on possible variations of the 3-P team.

TEAM EXPLANATION
- 4th slot options: Medicine Pocket (E), Getian (E), Rubuska, Kiperina, Lopera
- Euphorias: Melania
- The core Ultimate team, alongside quite a few (yet not all) flexible options. The goal of this team is to generate and deplete as much Moxie, as fast as possible. This way, Moldir can easily max out her stacks and consequently her buffs, enforcing a loop of Ultimates with high damage and efficient AP usage. Chances are, with that fast cycling, you won't even need a source of sustain, thus enabling an extra Support slot to amp up the damage further. If you still feel like you need a bit of healing but would like to keep the slot for a support, you can opt on bringing “Her Second Life” to the fourth slot if applicable.
