Gear Guide

Gear is the primary way to make your Apostles stronger in this game. Each Apostle has six gear slots, and each slot accepts a specific piece of equipment that provides stats. After equipping all six necessary pieces, you can "Rank Up" your gear page. Doing so will consume all the equipped gear, change the required pieces to higher-tier ones, and provide a significant stat boost. (Similar to Princess Connect: Re Dive if you have played it before.)

Obtaining Gear

Image

The main source of gear is Story stages, each offering a couple of specific gear drops. You will need to farm certain stages to get the pieces you want. Lower-rank gear drops directly from these stages, but higher-rank gear requires recipes. These recipes need multiple specific drops to craft the piece. You can check which stages drop the required materials and complete them directly from the gear screen.

There is also a special crafting material called Equipment Gems that can be used as a substitute for any missing materials. The more materials you are missing, the more Equipment Gems will be required for crafting.

Equipping and Ranking Up

Once you obtain or craft a piece of gear, you can equip it for a small

cost, which grants you its stats. Once a piece of gear is equipped, it cannot be removed (there is no reason you would want to anyway).

After you equip all six required gear pieces, you will be able to rank up the page for a significant stat boost. All equipped gear will be consumed upon ranking up, and the new required pieces will be of a higher rank. In the early game, you should focus on clearing the story and ranking up your gear as much as possible.

Upgrading Gear

You can also upgrade equipped gear up to +5 using Gear Upgrade Material, unneeded gear pieces, and some

. However, due to how quickly you will be ranking up, it is not recommended to upgrade your gear before hitting Rank 6.

Keep in mind that when you rank up, you lose the stats from both the gear pieces and their upgrade levels. This means it's possible to become temporarily weaker if you rank up but can't immediately upgrade the new gear. For example, a Rank 6 gear at +5 is better than a Rank 7 gear at +0. Therefore, at later ranks, you should wait to rank up until you have enough materials to upgrade the next set of gear immediately. This includes ensuring you have enough experience, materials and

to acquire and upgrade the gear, as well as access to the necessary story stages to farm for the materials.
