Circle of Vigil

Unlocks at level 1

Cooldown: 0s

Range: Global

Initial Energy: 0

Passive. Zorya's skills are powerful and have short cooldowns, but she can only use them while awake.

When a battle starts, Zorya enters a dormant state. While dormant, she remains invincible and recovers 85 Energy and 7% max HP per second. Once her Energy is full, Zorya awakens and joins the fight.

Every time Zorya awakens, she lands in the area with the most enemies, dealing 300% + 4% damage to enemies within 2 tiles and stunning them for 2s. While awake, she is steadfast and consumes 70 Energy per second. When her Energy is fully depleted, she returns to her dormant state.

Effects from sources other than this skill that would grant or drain Energy do not modify Zorya's Energy. However, for every 10 Energy she would gain from other sources, her ATK permanently increases by 1%, stacking up to 100 times.

Unlocks at level 51: Increases Zorya's landing damage to 320% + 4%.

Unlocks at level 111: Increases Zorya's landing damage to 340% + 4%.

Unlocks at level 171: Increases Zorya's landing damage to 360% + 4%.

Active. Zorya summons arcane wings that sweep forward in a 2-tile arc, dealing 270% + 30% damage to enemies hit and knocking them down for 2s.

Unlocks at level 71: Increases this skill's damage to 280% + 30% when actively used.

Unlocks at level 131: Increases this skill's damage to 290% + 30% when actively used.

Skill II

Devouring Strike

Unlocks at level 31

Active. Zorya deals 85% + 10% damage to all enemies within 2 tiles twice. Then, she launches an intimidating strike on the targets within range, dealing 250% + 30% damage, plus extra damage equal to 15% of their lost HP. The extra damage cannot exceed 150%.

Unlocks at level 91: Increases the damage of the two active strikes to 90% + 10% and the base damage of the intimidating strike to 260% + 30%.

Review

Review

Zorya is an S-Level Graveborn Rogue who introduces a unique "Dormant" mechanic. She is designed as a high-investment staller who alternates between being an untargetable statue and an aggressive, crowd-controlling fighter.

Zorya’s kit revolves entirely around her Ultimate, Eternal Slumber. Unlike most heroes, Zorya begins every battle in a Dormant state. While Dormant, she is completely untargetable and invincible, recovering 85 Energy and 7% Max HP per second. It takes approximately 12 seconds of before her Energy bar fills and she finally joins the fray.

Upon awakening, she dives into the area with the most enemies, dealing AOE damage and inflicting a stun. She then remains active for roughly 14–15 seconds (assuming she doesn’t get completely wrecked during that time), consuming 70 Energy per second until her bar is depleted, at which point she returns to her statue-like dormant state to recharge. This cycle constantly puts your team into a situation where they are fighting a 4v5 throughout the battle. The upside for doing this are Zorya’s stun after she dives in to enemies, and a massive enemy Movement Speed and Haste debuff.

Investment
  • Legendary+ increases her damage dealt in combat and more so if more enemies are nearby.

  • Mythic+ unlocks her Exclusive Skill, which inflicts a Movement Speed and Haste debuff on enemies while buffing her own Haste.

  • EX+5 increases her Haste buff by 10.

  • EX+10  grants her Unaffected while her HP is above 50%.

  • EX+15 increases her Haste buff by 10.

  • Supreme+ provides her with fatal blow protection. When she takes fatal damage, she will dump all of her energy to return to her dormant state instead (once per battle).

Performance in Various Game Modes
  • Story/AFK Stages: Zoyra is held back in AFK modes by the fact that:

    • She is in stasis for a large portion of the fight.

    • She doesn’t bring anything super impactful to the team once she is out of stasis.

  • Dream Realm: Similar to AFK stages, but possibly even worse. You do not want to 4v5 a dream realm boss for a significant period of time without some sort of huge upside, which Zorya lacks. Once out of stasis, she doesn’t bring much to the team that another hero can’t do better without the stasis period.

  • PvP: This is her only viable niche. She functions as a staller similar to Eigor or Scarlita. Even then, her impact on the battlefield is often not worth the tradeoff of having to 4v5 the enemy team at the start of the fight. Additionally, she needs S+ to be seriously viable.

Conclusion

Zorya is a highly niche PvP specialist. While her "invincible" state and massive debuffs look great on paper, her inability to contribute for the first 12 seconds of a battle makes her more of a liability than an asset in most scenarios. For the vast majority of players, she is an easy skip.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Her dormant state makes her impossible to target or kill while she is recovering.

  • -60 Haste is one of the strongest debuffs in the game for crippling enemy DPS.

  • "Unaffected" status makes her very difficult to lock down once she is active.

Cons

  • Forces your team to survive the most dangerous part of the fight (the start) with one less hero.

  • Virtually unusable below Supreme+ due to her fragility once she wakes up.

  • Her 90% DR disappears too quickly, often leaving her exposed just as enemies recover from her initial stun.

  • Basically unusable outside of PvP, and niche there too.
