Tips for Everyone
Fire Axe
Maximo periodically launches a fire axe from his position that moves across the arena until stopping upon the side of the room. Upon becoming stationary, it will continue to spin but also pulse fire damage in a large area for a short duration until finally expiring.
- Dodge the initial throw.
- Stay away from the axe’s position once thrown.
Rush Attack
Maximo will fixate on the player with aggro and begin charging at them.
- Tank the damage or run away to avoid it.
- Melee damage dealers should stay clear of Maximo, as the hitbox is quite large even if he focuses on another player.
Soul Split

During the fight, multiple players will be targeted with “Soul Split,” marking them with a fiery blue aura. After gaining this aura, you will be notified via a text prompt on your screen. After a set duration, Soul Split will expire, leaving their soul on the battlefield based on your position.
- Spread out the souls on opposite sides of the arena to ensure safety versus the next mechanic, “Soul Obliteration”.
Difficult +: More players will be targeted each Soul Split. And more Soul Splits can happen before a “Soul Obliteration”.
Soul Obliteration
At set intervals, Maximo will channel Soul Obliteration, creating Soul Fissures at every soul left behind during the previous mechanic. Soul Fissures will pull in players, and if you make contact with one, you will be instantly killed.
- Correctly place souls around the room as mentioned above to counter the mechanic, equalizing the pulling force from each fissure.
- Tip: If you misplace souls, the Resonance Ability “Phantom Dash” can help you evade the Fissures.y clear of Maximo, as the hitbox is quite large even if he focuses on another player.
Difficult +: After Maximo finishes channeling, each fissure will also erupt into Engram Orbs.
- Dodge these as well as moving against the gravitational pull.
Earth Breaker

Maximo targets a random player and charges a large frontal cleave that follows the player until reaching maximum charge.
- Move away from other players to ensure unnecessary damage is avoided.
Difficult +: Earth Breaker will leave a permanent burning area that deals damage over time, matching the cone of the attack.
- Face this into an unused part of the arena.
- Overlap multiple Earth Breakers if possible to preserve arena space, allowing you to place Souls in optimal positions for Soul Obliteration.
Tips for Tanks
Flame Cleave

Throughout the fight, Maximo will perform charged frontal cleaves that will be clearly marked, but hit all allies within.
- Face the boss away from the group and perform dodges to mitigate damage.
Tips for Damage
Soul Pool Ritual

Maximo summons two allies, becomes immune, and begins casting a ritual. During this ritual, three Soul Weapons will spawn, and the Soul Pool in the center will continually barrage your party with fire until killed. This fire takes the form of small AoE circles.
- Dodge the fire.
- Split up your 3 DPS players to attack each Soul Weapon.
- Eliminate Soul Weapons around the same time, or else they will regenerate and must be killed again.
