Overview
Homesteads are Private Islands you can customize and manage. From adding plants to your garden to decorating the interior of your house, you have full control over how you want to design your island.
Besides aesthetics, your Homestead is also a hub for useful activities. You can grow a Garden, complete daily commissions, or store items in a shared warehouse. The Homestead also allows you to invite roommates, who can help you level up your island and share all your homestead's amenities. Whether you want to turn your island into a cozy retreat or just a resource hub, your Homestead is a valuable place to call your own.
Unlocking the Homestead
The Homestead unlock quest “Ocean Platinum Card” will become unlocked early on in progression, and starts in the Entertainment District of Asterleeds. After progressing through the quest line for a bit, you will end up meeting Connor in Ocean Hill, and he will ask for materials to start the initial island construction. The options here are: 10 Pine Timber and 10 Cut Stone, or 10 Iron Ingots and 10 Mortar. Regardless of which set of materials you choose, they can be purchased from Life Skill Vendor NPCs in the city.

Once you complete the quest and unlock the Homestead, you will be able to access it via the “Homestead” icon in your menu.
Interface

When you first unlock your Homestead, this is the screen you’ll see displaying an at a glance view of what’s going on in your Homestead. It shows how close you are to the next level and whether an upgrade is available. It also shows your tidiness rating, whether your fields are in use, how many flowers have bloomed on your fields, whether your daily Homestead Commissions have been completed, and lastly, what furniture is being made at your crafting station. You can also change your Homestead’s name and write a description or message for your friends. This contains basically everything you need to know, all in one easy spot, without having to go to your Homestead to check!
Gardening
One of the main activities and one that awards tangible rewards is Gardening. Upon arrival, players may purchase seeds, plant them and then sell the result for

To be more specific, Gardening has 3 steps: Planting, Watering and Fertilizing. To obtain the seeds to plant in the Garden, you can speak to Delphine the Merchant to open the Homestead Store; the seeds will be under the “Floral Arrangements” tab. To water your plants, you merely need to walk adjacent to them and follow the prompt. Fertilizer can be obtained from the same place as seeds and provides an opportunity to speed up growth times for a faster harvest.
After your seeds are fully grown, you may harvest them to then convert into

One important thing to note is that if you happen to be sharing your Homestead with your friends, only the deed owner will be able to interact with the Garden. This is the most prominent “downside” of sharing a Homestead with others, but it can luckily be counteracted by all the positives.
Homestead Commissions

The other method of obtaining

Note
All players sharing a Homestead will get their own Commissions; they do not need to be shared.
Homestead Warehouse

Sophia, the Homestead Warehouse Manager allows the storage of a limited selection of items, which can be withdrawn by not only yourself but also other residents of the Homestead. These not only include some crafted items and materials, but also Food and Potions.

There are some other limitations on the Shared Warehouse as well, though.

- Withdraw limit of 15 total Advanced items from other players.
All of these deposit and withdrawal values are doubled for players that are using the Monthly Card.
Note
Only Potions and Food that were crafted by a player may be deposited and the same can be done only once. Items purchased from the Trading House may not be placed in the Shared Storage, and after being withdrawn once by another player items similarly cannot be re-stored.

The Homestead Store contains Furniture of all kinds, materials to plant and fertilize flowers, and life skill materials. Players have the option to use their

Roommates

You too can be “Just Roommates” with your friends by inviting them over to your House! This is the only way that other players are able to view or visit your Homestead. To invite someone to become your Roommate, you need to have Level 2 Friendship with them, and they need to have access to the Homestead system. Once someone applies, the Homestead Owner can approve them and gain a new Roommate!
To evict someone from your house, you need to start the process, and then they either have to agree to leave or it will resolve automatically after 7 days. The same is true if you want to leave someone else’s Homestead; you must request to leave and have it approved, or wait 7 days after the request.
Players who are Roommates can: Contribute to a single Homestead Level, use the Homestead Store, place Furniture, and utilize the Shared Warehouse.
Very important to be aware of though, is that becoming a Roommate of another Homestead eliminates your ability to own your own homestead. The only true downside of this is having less control over the Homestead and not being able to monopolize the

Decorating Your Homestead

Players can customize their new plot of land in a variety of ways. From the foliage outside to the wallpaper inside your house, there are plenty of options to make the island feel more like home. As you level your Homestead, there will be more options to buy Furniture, lighting fixtures, plants, etc. Another method to obtain Furniture is through crafting; all of the crafting life skills have unique Homestead items. To place, move or adjust any Furniture, press H to open the menu while in your Homestead.
