Memory Fragments

Memory Fragments are a type of equipment in this game and serve the function of armor and accessories in a traditional RPG game. Equipping Memory Fragments to your Character will provide them with a variety of stat increases from HP to ATK to DEF. Memory Fragments will provide your Characters with the main bulk of their stat increases.

There are 6 different Memory Fragment types:

  • Shock
  • Suppression
  • Denial
  • Ideal
  • Desire
  • Imagination

Each Memory Fragment has one main stat and up to 4 sub-stats. Depending on the Memory Fragment type, the possible main stats are:

  • Shock - Flat ATK
  • Suppression - Flat DEF
  • Denial - Flat HP
  • Ideal - ATK%, HP%, Critical Chance%, Critical Damage%
  • Desire - ATK%, HP%, Passion Damage%, Justice Damage%, Order Damage%, Void Damage%, Instinct Damage%
  • Imagination - ATK%, DEF%, HP%, Ego Recovery

Memory Fragment sub-stats are randomly generated, but they cannot be the same as the Memory Fragment’s main stat. The list of possible substats are:

  • Flat ATK
  • Flat DEF
  • Flat Health
  • ATK%
  • DEF%
  • HP%
  • Critical Chance%
  • Critical Damage%
  • Ego Recovery
  • Extra Damage%
  • Damage over Time%

Memory Fragments can also be leveled up to increase the main stat bonus, but the sub-stats are generated when you obtain the item (or when you enhance it) and they can't be changed. The maximum level of a Memory Fragment is determined by its rarity, which ranges from Uncommon to Rare and Legendary. The higher the rarity of a Memory Fragment, the higher the stats it will have at its base level and when upgraded.

Also, if the Memory Fragment has fewer than 4 sub-stats, it gains a new random sub-stat. If the Memory Fragment already has 4 sub-stats, a random sub-stat is increased by a random amount.

Memory Fragments also come in sets, and equipping multiple Memory Fragments from the same set will provide additional bonuses for the Character. The Memory Fragments can give a 2 or 4-piece bonus depending on the set.

Here's what some Memory Fragment Sets look like:

Farming

There are 2 ways to farm Memory Fragments in CZN:

Way 1

Directly, via Simulation -> Memory Fragments.

Way 2

After beating a floor boss in Chaos Manifestation and claiming rewards and after beating a floor boss in Zero System and claiming rewards.

NOTE: You can claim rewards even after running out of Loot Certification Cards by selecting the greyed-out button. It costs 60 Aether. This can be useful if you want a specific legendary Memory Fragment, since it allows you to preview its type before claiming, making it more efficient than simply farming Simulation stages.

You can only farm Ideal, Desire, and Imagination pieces through this method - the ones with variable Main Stats.

Crafting

This system allows you to craft any Memory Fragment Type and Set you want by scrapping other Memory Fragments - you need to scrap 10 pieces to be able to craft a specific piece from a specific set, or 5 to get a random piece from that set. The Main Stat of the crafted Memory Fragment will be random unless you use Multidimensional Alignment Material to pick one from the list.
