Review
Danvery is an Odd Affinity Debuffer/Buffer hybrid, with a heavy focus on stealing both Turn Meter and positive effects your enemies apply.
First, let’s talk about [Specular Casket], Danvery’s unique gimmick, as all of his skills are amplified against the target of Specular Casket.
Whenever the recipient of Specular Casket receives a buff, all of Danvery’s team receives it too. In the same way, when the recipient receives Turn Meter+ or healing, a portion of those are also applied to Danvery’s team. There can only ever be 1 Specular Casket debuff present on the battlefield at a time, and it is automatically removed upon death of its recipient.
With that out of the way, let’s get back to S1. It targets a single enemy and has a low chance of stealing some of their Turn Meter. If the target has the [Specular Casket] debuff, the attack is guaranteed to Steal and the steal value is doubled, turning it into a very potent S1.
Lvl5 improves the copy effects of Specular Casket, making it imperative to raise it as soon as possible. Raise S1 to lvl5 first.
S2 is a 1-hit AoE that has a very high base chance to Dispel 1 buff and inflict 2 turns of [SPD-]. For the recipient of [Specular Casket], the Dispel effect removes all buffs instead.
Lvl3 is especially important if you have to deal with high EFF RES enemies; otherwise the skill itself has the lowest priority out of his skills. The Lvl5 effect is good but isn’t as powerful as the other skills, since it applies only to 1 enemy.
S3 is another 1-hit AoE that has a high chance of stealing Turn Meter from all enemies and distributing it evenly among allies. It’s also guaranteed to apply [Specular Casket] to the main target for 3 turns, and your team receives a [Fortify] buff for 2 turns as well.
Lvl3 is very important, and so is lvl5 in order to improve your whole team’s turn cycling. 2nd highest priority after S1.
Similarly to his release partner, Danvery was not designed with PVE in mind. With the massive prevalence of burst and its focus on hyper offensive buffing/debuffing, Danvery’s whole gimmick of ‘let’s allow the enemy to play in order to get stronger’ falls short in most game modes. Even though he can be used relatively well as a Turn Meter pusher, this role is mostly useful for newer players who may struggle with their poorer gear. Even then, the roster of debuffer/Supporters is so stacked that it’s difficult to fit Danvery in the conversation.
Although Danvery’s kit is clearly designed for PVP, he still struggles to really impact the scene for a couple of reasons. Firstly, if he can’t land his Specular Casket on the most important target, then all of his kit becomes fairly mediocre with no real way to impact the game state. That means Taunt, Immunity, CC lock or simply super fast comps can all play around his main gimmick without deviating from their original gameplan. Secondly, even if he manages to land his debuff, the enemy could still power through it and wipe your team anyway, if their composition allows it. After all, getting a bunch of offensive buffs outside of your own turns and letting the enemy stack them up doesn’t do much for you. For this second reason, Danvery’s already ‘good but not great’ kit also takes on a meta-dependent nature, making him even harder to fully exploit.
Danvery has the potential to do silly things against unprepared enemies; however, it’s a bit too easy to prepare for him in the first place. That makes him a situational pick that most likely won’t see much play during some metas, and perhaps none at all in others. His PVE relevance is limited; however, he can still help players who lack good Supports and Debuffers by offering a mix of both.
Cheap to play in PVE.
His special gimmick can create unique game states.
Turn Meter Steal is always welcome.
Expensive Skill investment for average returns in PVP.
Easily countered.
Very meta-dependent.
His PVE uses are limited once in the endgame.
Build
For Early Game build tips when it comes to what modules and Shells to use before you start farming Red rarity, check our dedicated guide:
1
An absurdly strong combo Shell that allows the wearer to skip the cooldown of the ability used on the turn this Shell is active. The wearer can use their ultimate or skill twice back to back, unlocking usually impossible personal and team combos. Also grants the wearer a 10% SPD boost after use for 2 turns. Mainly used in PvE burst/combo compositions or PVP. Can be used on both Supports and DPS situationally.
His best in slot shell thanks to making his s3 always activate twice .
Best Module Sets:
2
A mostly PVP-focused shell option designed mostly for Supports and Sustain who can't contend for the initiative. Each Mortal Essence stack allows them to ignore all the negative effects from a Damage Skill that hits them, ensuring they can't be easily neutralized by Debuffers and CC openers. Could see use in niche PVE situations.
it can be useful in long fights.

Speed, Effect ACC, HP%
For Danvery, focus on getting Effect ACC main stat. One HP or DEF main stat can help in case needed some tank stats. The most important sub stat to this animus is speed so try to get as much as you can..
