Crassa’s kit focuses on empowering her basic attacks. Her passive 1 grants short-duration Tension Stacks that increase her attack speed and inflict bonus damage via her basic attacks at 12 stacks. Her Active skill deals AOE damage and inflicts a debuff that increases damage taken when attacked by Archers. Her ultimate deals AOE damage to all enemies, applying a buff that increases her Basic Attack and Passive Skill Damage. Her passive 2 increases her own Critical Damage and Critical Hit Rate.
Crassa specialises in dealing sustained damage - similar to Lueira, a massive amount of her power budget is applied to her Basic Attacks. Despite bringing a debuff that suggests an archer heavy comp, Crassa doesn’t need any enablers and can easily slot into many teams that don’t actively support it. The short duration on her tension stacks does also make her quite susceptible to CC, as she needs to constantly attack to apply and retain her stacks.
She is a solid DPS in her own right but does not bring anything new to existing PvE comps. She is a solid DPS for Flame Kay (Magic Resist), Watcher Queen and Yeti boss raids, being able to contribute comparable damage output to the top dogs.
Crassa’s kit also gives her amazing potential for Brawl maps and makes her a solid Stonehenge Farmer. As of the time of this review, she has managed to replace the current top Brawl DPS carry Hikage in the Wolf Map. However, her full performance in Brawl remains to be seen and her current tier is a placeholder for the time being. There are also some factors that affect her performance - Aside from the Cow and Goat maps nerfing Passive Skill Damage, the Wolf Map also has Chaos Typing. Her overall performance there will likely depend on her stats.
Aside from Crassa herself, many of the existing archers are out of the raid meta at the moment and it may be some time before multi-archer teams see the spotlight.
Overall, Crassa’s place in the meta is currently quite shaky, but may get better once newer archers get released. Given that she will be available on the standard gacha banner, you could consider going for her on the rerun unless you want to do better in Raid/ Brawl content. Players who are quite spent from the 1.5 Anniversary banners might appreciate the break.
Crassa’s Card, Queen’s Gambit, increases the Skill Damage for Basic Attacks and Passives while reducing Active and Ultimate Skill Damage. As a result, the card is only really made for Crassa herself, although Nesha, Lisa and Agravaine might be able to utilise it depending on the situation. It also makes this card a marginally stronger option for Brawl/ Stonehenge since you don’t want to use Ultimates and Active Skill as often.
Simple kit, solid Sustained Damage Dealer
Does not need any enablers, easily slotted into teams
Will be a solid partner for any future Archers.
Gets quite creative with wires.
Tension Stacks susceptible to Crowd Control.
Current Brawl maps nerf Crassa’s damage output in various ways.
