FAQ

  • What type of game is Persona 5: The Phantom X?
    • Persona 5: The Phantom X is a turn-based strategy RPG spinoff of Persona 5. It features a brand-new cast and storyline, building on the core gameplay of the original while introducing fresh mechanics and characters—such as the Phantom Idols, who join the fight as party members.
  • Is Persona 5: The Phantom X a main or side type of game?
    • It leans more toward a side game, but it still plays like a traditional Persona title, offering a variety of activities, game modes, and exploration. If you're new to the game, there's plenty of things to do. You can approach it your way: either as a full-fledged Persona experience or as a gacha game, depending on your preference.

  • How long does it take to finish the dailies?
    • Around 5–10 minutes by running this game’s material stages. The best part? You can claim up to 5x the rewards per run—as long as you have enough stamina. You’ll also need to complete other quick activities, like hangouts and commissions, but those barely take time.
  • How does the stamina system work in this game?
    • The stamina cap of this game is 240 and recharge rate is 1 every 6 minutes. You also get extra stamina at login via Thieves Den’s purchased decorations.

Both feature soft pity starting at 70 pulls. The weapon banner follows a 70-pity system (50/50) with soft pity at 60 pulls.

Tips and Tricks - General

Tips and Tricks - General Here are some tips for some of the basic aspects of the game:

Spending Currencies
  • Save your Metaverse Crystals (paid currency). There is usually a bundle or two in the shop that offer great value but are only available for Metaverse Crystals.
  • Don’t buy any materials bundles with Metaverse Ambers (premium currency). You should save them for limited characters and their weapons.
  • Don’t spend Metaverse Ambers on standard Contract draws. While many standard characters have the strength of limited characters, it’s best to wait and use the free standard Contract draws to obtain them.
  • Don’t spend Metaverse Ambers on Phantom Pass level. The rewards are not worth the price.
  • Only pull on a character if you know you have enough to obtain them.
  • Only pull reruns of old characters if they are still really strong and you need them. Usually, it’s best to obtain the newer unit rather than the older unit.
  • Remember to exchange most premium items in the shop during the monthly reset. There are many items available, even limited Contract draws.
  • The 5-star weapon box is not a bad deal if you are missing many cores standard 5-star weapons. This is also a very cheap way to reform limited 5-star weapons.
Gameplay
  • Remember to do your daily missions. They give Wonder EXP and Metaverse Ambers.
  • Save some weekly missions rewards for the next week if you hit the weekly Phantom Pass EXP cap. This will make you cap out the next week faster.
  • Remember to do the events. They are usually the main source of rewards for the patch.
  • Complete the Lufel’s Business Plans missions. They are a good guideline on how to progress your account.
  • Check the settings menu. You can customize many settings and change some gameplay features, such as the ability to select the 1 MORE target.
  • Join a Paradise (guild). Door of Nightmares (guild boss mode) is one of the best ways to obtain Universe Cards and Metaverse Crystals.
  • Remember to claim the rewards from Thieves Den. Those cap out around 2 days of inactivity.
  • Purchase the items that give daily Stamina from Thieves Den. Extra Stamina is always welcomed.
  • Do your Social Links. They all give small skills for many parts of the game and this is one of the best ways to obtain many Metaverse Crystals, Check Social Links Guide for more information.
  • You can redeem Personas in Challenge Rewards instead of spending Stamina to obtain them. This can save you some Stamina to use on other things.
Character Building
  • Have an idea on who to invest in. Don’t just spend your materials because you can.
  • Know how to build Wonder, he’s the most versatile character in the game. Check Wonder Guide for more information.
  • Know what your Personas can do. Even some low rank ones are still used in the end-game!
  • Fill out the Persona compendium. Each entry will give you Inspiration Points used to upgrade Wonder’s Inspiration skill tree.
  • You can easily obtain 4-star weapons for your characters from “Untouchable” (Iwai’s weapon shop). There is very little reason to use 3-star weapons.
  • Don’t focus on getting Revelation Cards with perfect sub-stats early on. Just getting the proper main stats is good enough.
  • Be very selective when upgrading the Mental Image for your characters, as those materials are very rare. When in doubt, use the materials on your strongest DPS. (CN)
  • You don’t have to upgrade every skill. Only upgrade the skills you will use.
  • Have a good idea of how team building works. Most teams in this game use a 1 Main DPS and 4 supports (including Navigator) setup, you can’t really go wrong with that blueprint.
  • Have a team for ST fights and a team for AoE fights. This will make clearing the game easier.
  • Know which weapon to redeem from Destiny land. Check Wonder Guide for more information.

Tips and Tricks - City

This will have basic tips and tricks covering the City game mode:

  • Remember to do your City Activities. You recover 5 Energy Points daily. Activities should be prioritized as follows:
    • Always do the City Activities that give you Metaverse Ambers. Those are very rare.
    • Focus on ranking up Synergies (Social Links) first. Check Social Links for more information.
    • Spend your Energy Points on part-time jobs if no Synergies (Social Links) are available. This provides Money to buy gifts for Synergies (Social Links).
    • Only spend Energy Points on levelling up Social Stats as your last resort. There is usually a Social Link or part-time job available.
  • Money is mostly used to buy gifts for Synergies (Social Links). There aren’t a lot of reasons to hoard it.
  • Fishing in Ichigaya gets cheaper at night. Save Yen by timing your fishing appropriately.
  • You can obtain a free challenge mode ticket for the batting cage if you hit a home run in practice mode first. This can make these side activities completely Yen-free.
  • Many items around the city have a weekly purchase limit. Make sure to buy the important ones each week.
  • You can exchange Gachapons with your friends. This can make collecting all the Gachapons easier.

Tips and Tricks - Metaverse

This will have basic tips and tricks covering many Metaverse topics:

  • Spending Stamina as a Newbie:
    • Stamina events (get all the rewards you need)
    • Personas (obtain the new Persona every 10th Wonder level)
    • Ascension materials (you get better value on higher Wonder level, but the rewards are not too bad early on)
    • Revelation Cards (not recommended early as the rewards get significantly better at maxed Wonder level)
    • EXP materials and Soul Gems (very easy to overflow on these, also very common)
    • Bell of Stars (costs too much and does too little for new players)
  • There is a daily 10k Soul Gems limit from insta-killing Roaming Shadows each day. Try to do this daily if you have the time.
  • You can always revisit previous Palaces later. Don’t feel forced to 100% Palace exploration before the main story.
  • Focus on obtaining every new Persona as soon as they become available. New Personas and fusion unlock every 10th Wonder level, so remember to check the farm and Velvet Room each time you progress, as you will need these to level up Wonder’s Inspiration skill tree. The values on the Persona farm are consistent as the main incentive is the Persona reward, not secondary drops.
  • Take your time with Velvet Trials. Whether it is out of combat where you are making sure your teams are well-prepared, or in combat where you are farming for scores. This is a permanent game mode so there is little rush.
  • Remember to do Sea of Souls Trials. They give Persona coins that are needed for very powerful Personas for the end game.
  • Remember to do Door of Nightmares. This is the only reliable way of obtaining Universe Cards.
