Gacha System

Persona 5: The Phantom X features a gacha system with mainly four distinct banner types used for obtaining both Characters and Weapons.

All Banner types have different drops, but you can expect to obtain the following from their respective banner types:

• 5★ Characters / Weapons
• 4★ Characters / Weapons
• 3★ Weapons
• Low-tier 2★ Personas

This is the first banner available to new players. It primarily uses Future Fates (the currency for the Permanent Banner). While Meta Shards can also be used, it is not recommended to do so.

• Discounted Pulls: 8 Future Fates needed to do a 10-pull.
• After 50 pulls in this banner, you will have a selection between three 5★ Characters, which are:

  Ryuji Sakamoto /
  
  Ann Takamaki

Note: You can still obtain 5★ Characters before reaching 50 pulls, as this banner shares its pool with the Permanent Banner. Early 5★ pulls do not affect your final choice between SKULL, MONA, and PANTHER.

The Rate-up Character Banner features a limited-time 5★ rate-up Character and three 4★ Characters. It primarily uses Predetermined Fates, though Meta Shards can also be used.

This banner offers two selectable pity systems, allowing you to choose based on your preference:

Exclusive

• 0.2% base pull rate for 5★ Characters
• 110 Hard Pity
• 70 Soft Pity
• Guaranteed rate-up 5★ Character
• After 165 Cumulative Pulls on this Pity type, you will get a random 5★ Permanent Character. This count goes over other banners.

Fated

• 0.8% base pull rate for 5★ Characters
• 80 Hard Pity
• 70 Soft Pity
• 50% chance to obtain the Rate-up 5★ Character; 50% chance to get a Permanent 5★ Character. Next pity will be guaranteed if lost.

Note: The pity count between the two systems is not shared, but it does carry over other banners that use the same pity type.

The Rate-up Weapon Banner features a limited-time 5★ Rate-up Weapon. It primarily uses Predetermined Coins, though Meta Shards can also be used. You can select two 5★ Permanent Weapons, which you will receive if you lose the 50/50 chance to get the Rate-up Weapon.

• 0.8% base pull rate for 5★ Weapons
• 70 Hard Pity
• 60 Soft Pity
• 50% chance to obtain the rate-up 5★ weapon; 50% chance to get a permanent 5★ weapon. Next pity will be guaranteed.

Note: Maxing out weapon dupes is easy in this game — as you only need 3 dupes of the same weapon plus 3 dupes of any other weapon of the same rarity.

The Permanent Banner features all Permanent Characters in the game. It primarily uses Future Fates (the currency for the Permanent Banner). While Meta Shards can also be used, it is not recommended to do so.

• 0.8% base pull rate for 5★ Characters
• 80 Hard pity
• 70 Soft Pity
• After 300 cumulative Pulls on this Banner, you will get a 5★ Permanent Character of your choice ONCE.

Rerun Banners feature returning limited-time Rate-up 5★ Characters and Weapons and typically run longer than standard Rate-up banners.

These banners share both the pity count and the random 5★ Permanent Character count with each other. Pulling on Rerun Banners earns you Cognitive Afterimage.

Super Rerun Banners are similar to Rerun Banners but appear only during special occasions. These banners allow you to select up to three 5★ Characters to feature as Rate-up Characters.

Essentially, they function like Rerun Banners but with customizable Rate-up options. Pulling on Super Rerun Banners also earns you Cognitive Afterimage.

As you pull on banners, you earn currency that can be used in the Cognition Shop.

Each type of currency has its own tab and unique set of rewards:

• Cognitive Shard: Earned by pulling low-tier 2★ Personas and 3★ Weapons.
• 30 earned per low-tier 2★ Persona
• 20 earned per 3★ Weapon
• Cognitive Gemstone: Earned by pulling 4★ and 5★ Characters and Weapons.
• 6 earned for each 4★ character (if not max duped)
• 15 earned for each max duped 4★ character
• 30 earned for each 5★ character dupe
• 4 earned for each 4★ Weapon
• 20 earned for each 5★ Weapon
• Cognitive Afterimage: Earned from pulling on a rerun banner.
• 10 earned per pull
