Should You Pull? (TLDR)

You should pull Kassandra if:

  • You already have Ezio;
  • You like the Assassin’s Creed characters and/or Assassination archetype.

You shouldn’t pull Kassandra if:

  • You don’t like the Assassination archetype;
  • You’re saving for Nautika or someone else.

Unlike Ezio, Kassandra is much more focused on the Assassination archetype and consequently Assassin-centered teams, making her slightly less versatile than him. She’s, however, still very good at the multiple roles she can fulfill within this niche, from main carry to sub-DPS to support. She enables Ezio’s Ultimate-focused build, making him even better than before. She can also work well enough alongside Alexios (with one empowering the other and vice-versa) and characters who can buff incantations (Liang Yue, Aleph) or ultimates (E!Melania, E!Getian) depending on her build.

Review

Kassandra is an Assassin character whose playstyle varies depending on the force field (build) you’ve chosen for her. By entering her unique ‘Ability’ menu, you have five skill points that can be distributed between three skill trees. Please note that the Force Field in effect will come from the tree you selected first. Force Fields are not the same thing as Arrays and can co-exist.

The first path, “Hunter”, activates the Force Field “Way of Artemis”. It focuses on DMG Bonus and Incantations. It’s overall decent for general use and the most efficient for teams outside the Assassination Archetype, in which case you will likely use Kassandra alongside characters who can empower her Incantations (Liang Yue, Aleph) and/or characters who focus on Follow-up Attacks (Ezio, Flutterpage). This build is overall the fastest to clear most regular content and stages with many enemies. Skill distribution should be 3-2-0, as 3-0-2 will make Kassandra lose her precast incantations and end up with lower output and less utility than 3-2-0, which grants +20% DMG for Extra Actions.

The second path, “Warrior,” activates the Force Field “Way of Ares,” also known as “the Sparta Kick build.” It focuses on Kassandra’s own follow-up attack, Sparta Kick, which triggers on the following round once for each type of [Gash] the enemy has. Its skill distribution should be 2-3-0 or 1-3-1. This is the “weakest” of Kassandra’s builds, considering that in most cases, the target will be dead before you can trigger her follow-up attacks. In the rare occasions where she can actually get some damage out from the FUA and [Gash], the output is a lot lower than the other two paths.

The third path, “Assassin,” activates the Force Field “Way of Nyx,” and is focused on, you guessed, Assassination mechanics. It’s also the Ultimate-focused build. 2-0-3 is Kassandra’s strongest build for bossing, allowing Kassandra to ult pretty much every turn and ult twice every other turn with [Rush Assassination - Combo]. You shouldn’t use 0-2-3 ever because the Assassin path removes Sparta Kick and Kassandra doesn’t have any FUA with this build. While “Way of Artemis” synergizes perfectly with Ezio’s FUA build and brings it to the next level, “Way of Nyx” enables his Ultimate-focused build instead. His ult will still be slower to charge than most other ultimate-focused characters, but it’s very much worth it when paired with Kassandra. Outside of the Assassination team, this build should be paired with characters who improve the output of ultimates, such as E!Melania and E!Getian.

Builds aside, Kassandra’s skills and ultimate are extremely simple and straightforward. They deal a lot of damage, and that’s it. At higher incantation levels, each incantation grants more Adrenaline, the bar that Kassandra uses to charge her ultimate instead of Moxie. If you are using Kassandra as your main damage dealer, it’s recommended to bring the Tuning “Unfinished Tune” in order to allow Kassandra to cast her incantations with more consistency and, consequently, charge her ultimate faster as well. If you are using her as a sub-DPS or support, her mere existence will already be a boon to the party thanks to the Force Field effects, turning her into a very AP positive character.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Extremely high and consistent damage with a simple and straightforward gameplay.
  • Enables Ult-focused Ezio.
  • Very AP-positive.
  • Has a cute bird called Ikaros. NOT to be confused with Chikaros, Malaka.
Cons

  • Limited to the [Assassination] archetype, she’s not as effective in other teams.
  • Much like Ezio and Alexios, her ult can’t be triggered by Recoleta or Anjo Nala.

Portrays

Kassandra’s best cost-benefit Portray is her P2. It improves the passive effects from her Force Fields. After that, P4 further strengthens those effects, being the next best option for those willing to spend more pulls.

Great Synergies

It goes without saying that her best synergies are, by far, with the other Assassin characters: Ezio and Alexios. All three powers feed each other’s kits by consistently applying and/or triggering the [Assassination] effect.

Outside that, Liang Yue is a notable choice due to her Follow-Up attacks and raising the level of incantations with her ult. Flutterpage may also be slotted in if you’re playing Way of Ares Kassandra, and for Ult-focused options, E!Melania and E!Getian (available next patch) take the cake.

Being a strong DPS in her own right, Kassandra can also fit in with most buffers, especially the likes of 6 and E!An-An Lee, or healers like E!Vila.

  • An Epic's End is Kassandra's signature psychube and her best option. At Insight III, Kassandra has a Critical Technique of 1070; enemies usually have 0 but Reveries enemies can have up to 322 (as of 2.7). This means this psychube typically provides 7–10% Final DMG Dealt (14–20% at max amplification) and 10% ATK. The 6–12% DMG Dealt for all allies also boosts her already great supportive abilities.
  • Luxurious Leisure is the best substitute for her signature in Ultimate-based builds, granting 15–27% DMG Bonus and 18% Ultimate Might.
  • For Way of Ares FUA builds, Outside the City is a great substitute for her signature, boasting 8–12% Critical Rate and 20–50% Critical DMG at max stacks.
  • Way of Ares FUA builds can also use Blasphemer of Night because Kassandra's 3 Gash types and Lethal Injury all count as [Neg Status] effects.
  • Finally, if for some reason you acquired Kassandra but don't want to run her in the same team as Ezio, his signature As the Bell Tolls works great for her. 7–10% Final DMG Dealt (14–20% at max amplification), 18–36% Critical DMG, and 10% ATK are perfect for a DPS build.

Teams

A few suggestions are listed below. 3-People teams are highlighted, with the 4th slot added at the side to provide a 4-P variation of the same team or even insights on possible variations of the 3-P team.

Standard Teams
Ultimates Followed Up by Ultimates[GLB]
TEAM EXPLANATION
  • 4th slot options: Fatutu
  • This team allows for two styles of gameplay: you can choose between Kassandra’s “Way of Artemis” build (3-2-0) for a sub-DPS and Incantation focus, or “Way of Nyx” build (2-0-3) for an Ultimate focus. For Ezio, you can bring either his FUA build or Ult-focused build. The difference here comes mainly from what kind of content you’re tackling. The FUA patch is more efficient for most content, unless you’re doing Mane’s or deep Reveries. In that case, bring your Ultimate arsenal and get ready for endless cutscenes. If you wish to amp up your ultimates further, you can bring Melania (E) or Getian (E).
Family Reunion[GLB]
TEAM EXPLANATION
  • 4th slot options: Medicine Pocket (E), Vila (E)
  • Euphorias: Getian
  • So, you skipped Ezio. Not all is lost, and Kassandra can still be a formidable DPS by herself. Alexios comes in as a cheap (as in, free) extra Assassination character for Assassin shenanigans. This team can be played with any of Kassandra’s three styles, just remember to switch Getian for Flutterpage or another FUA character if you decide on using the “Way of Ares” build.
No Rest for the Misthios[GLB]
TEAM EXPLANATION
  • 4th slot options: Any Healer
  • If you only care about Kassandra, you can still enjoy her gameplay. Any build can be used in this team, with both LY and Flutterpage benefitting from her Force Fields. In exchange, Liang Yue’s unique effect can consistently allow Kassandra to land heavy blows with her incantations and charge her ultimate faster. Other options include Aleph, Melania (E), Getian (E), or any other Reality or Crit buffer.
