Review
Zandrok is a S-Level character of the Warrior class who belongs to the Mauler faction. His kit is based around Max HP increase, dealing damage on the basis of Max HP, destroying walls and providing some minor buffs.
Zandrok’s Ultimate is a simple slam that destroys nearby obstacles, deals damage based on his Max HP, and knocks enemies to the air.
His first skill, “Rallying Roar”, is the most important part of his kit, as it allows him to destroy most obstacles in the stage at the start of battle. It also buffs the team’s Max HP, gives them Life Drain, Haste and doubles their Movement Speed for 8s.
This skill also has an Active casting that buffs allies around him with Life Drain and Haste for 8s.
His second skill, “Shock Stomp”, Stuns nearby enemies and deals damage based on his Max HP.
Now, for a quick overview of his performance in the various game modes:
Story and AFK stages – While Zandrok can be used with the Baelran, he does not actually impact his performance that much, and is therefore best used in Eironn teams. He can also be used as a tech choice for stages with a lot of walls.
Dream Realm – Zandrok’s personal damage is low, and he doesn’t buff Max HP enough to make it worth including him in a team just to buff Baelran, making him unusable in current Dream Realm bosses.
PVP – For PVP, Zandrok fits a niche anti-wall role, and can also counter Saida as he can destroy her seeds. He can be paired with Baelran but the Max HP boost is not very impactful, and you’d be using him more for his speed buff and wall destruction than anything else. He also works well with Maulers and other Melee heroes like Lenya who work better in a map without walls.
Legendary+ increases his Max HP.
Mythic+ gives him a little bit of extra damage when he is above 50% Max HP.
EX +10 allows him to enhance an ally’s next normal attack with an extra 15% of their own Max HP as damage.
Supreme+ allows him to increase his Max HP through overhealing, effectively increasing his Max HP by up to 50% in a team with enough heals.
Being mostly a PVP hero, Zandrok will benefit the most from high investment into Paragon levels, and before that, the ideal investment is all the way to S+ EX +10. He can also be used as a one dupe wonder if you just want to destroy walls.
Zandrok is a tech hero for PVP, and can also be used in PVE to some extent, but is overall easily skippable. Even in a high investment pairing such as Baelran, he is not strictly necessary and is relegated to an Anti-Wall and Anti-Saida tech choice.
Anti-Wall tech - can destroy obstacles.
Anti-Saida tech - can destroy her Seeds.
One dupe wonder.
Tanky for a buffer.
Low damage output.
Low buff values.
Does not currently excel in any gamemode.
Does not work for countering Kulu.
