Frequently Asked Questions

In this guide we will go over the most common questions that people ask about the game - both on our discord and other places!

What type of game is Etheria: Restart?

Etheria: Restart is a turn-based strategy RPG set in a virtual metropolis. It combines Honkai: Star Rail 'open world' and visuals with Epic 7 style of PVE content (various bosses, modes, etc) and PVP content (PVP and Real-time Arena).

When does Etheria: Restart release?

The game will release on 5th of June 2025, but if you want to try the game earlier, on the 8th of May 2025 a Final Beta will be held that everyone is able to try out!

You can find countdowns to both on the homepage of our site!

Does Etheria: Restart have a PC client?

Yes! There's an official PC client that will be available on release. Here are all official links you will need:

Please keep in mind that the Steam version won't be available at launch, but some time later.

Is Etheria: Restart a main or side type of game?

Leaning more toward the main game - mainly because there's no sweep feature here. You have to build teams that are able to consistently and quickly beat the endgame bosses and the you can either watch the battle progress or let it run in the background (even if you close the game, the battles will continue).

How long does it take to finish the dailies?

Around 10 minutes or so for the dailies themselves, but it will take you longer to use up all the stamina you get daily.

How does the stamina work in this game?

You start with 100 stamina cap and for every account level you achieve you receive +1 to the cap. So with the max account being 100, it sets the stamina cap at 200. Still, if you purchase the Monthly Card (costs $5), you will get +20 to the current cap.

As for the stamina recharge rate - it's 1 stamina point every 5 minutes.

Is the game free to play friendly or pay to win?

Definitely free to play friendly. Reasons:

  • You can clear all endgame PVE content using SR characters and free SSR characters,
  • Banners don't have the dreaded 50/50 system,
  • Character dupes not only aren't impactful (they only give some additional raw stats - no new skills or effects), but also in RTA (Real Time Arena) they are fully disabled.

What are the rates?

The chance to pull the highest rarity (SSR) characters is set to 1% for the majority of the banners - further split into 0.75% for Red/Green/Blue characters and 0.25% for Light/Dark characters - the elements have different names here, but they mean the same thing.

Is it worth to reroll?

It may not be worth to reroll in Etheria: Restart. That's because of the Selector Banner that allows you to choose any SSR character and obtain them within 40 pulls. (though the LD characters aren't available here).

What characters can you target?
Guides

You can pick any RGB character with the exception of

Freya (because she's the first rate-up banner target) and
Lian
Lian
(because she's free and you can buy her dupes from shop).

How do the servers work?

The highest level is Region (NA, Europe, SEA) and each Region is further split into servers. Here are the restrictions:

  • Etherena and PVE-related leaderboards: limited to your current server,
  • Game features including Friends, Union and Chat: Cross server within your region,
  • Summit Arena (RTA) and Phantom Theater (Coop PVE): Global matchmaking.

What's the endgame?

For PVE content, the endgame is optimizing your teams, you so can farm Modules and Shells (and other stuff) as quickly and efficiently as possible. There are also Union Bosses that allows guilds to compete against each other who can deal the most damage.

For PVP content, Real Time Arena is the 'endgame', but you also have AI battles available and even a special 'mini-tournament' mode that uses the RTA ruleset and picks 8 players to compete against each other - it's basically a simulated E-Sport mode that everyone can try.

Speed vs Turn meter - what's the difference?

It's pretty similar to most turn-based games:

  • Speed decides the initial placement on the 'turn timeline' and the spot where you reappear after acting,
  • Turn Meter pushes you forward (or backwards) on the 'turn timeline'. For example 100% turn meter boosts means you immediately take action, even if you were at the 'end' of the timeline.
