Altar of Invocation
After doing 30 pulls on the Standard Banner, you will unlock the Altar of Invocation that allows you to 'wishlist' 5 characters each from the three main factions (Church, Kingdom and Bloodborn). Moving forward, every time you will pull an SSR character from those factions on the standard banner, you will only obtain characters placed on the list (but you can still pull Ancestors no matter what, so don't worry).
You MUST place 5 characters per faction (so fill the whole list), or else the wishlist won't work.
In this guide you will find the best options for each faction.
Church
Core characters
- Acappella - currently she's the best Crescent Moon character in the game that can both heal and buff the whole team, but also on top of that increase the Bloodsoul Recovery Rate for them. Keep in mind that her healing is small, so she can't be used as the solo 'healer' in the team - treat it more like additional thing.
![Acappella]()
- Van Helsing - the best non-Ancestral Marksman in the game, but if you have
Aiona [Timeless] she replaces him in virtually any content outside of Faction Towers. With the release of Synergy system, CRIT related content will become a haven for him.![Aiona [Timeless]]()
- Albrecht - an incredible healer and debuffer thats flexible to use in multiple teams thanks to his ALL DMG taken increase debuff to enemies.
![Albrecht]()
- Fanny - a DoT DPS that has a damage type of piercing she works incredible vs enemies that Shield themselves, her ultimate being a lingering ground effect with high damage scaling works great on dealing more damage in AOE-focused content. As a DoT she also works great with Hati [Transcendent].
![Fanny]()
Other options
- Thibault - another DPS who specializes in AOE damage and provides an unique debuff that increases the critical damage taken by enemies.
![Thibault]()
- Edina - a New Moon healer/buffer hybrid. Requires the team to be clustered since her Ultimate is a targeted AoE.
![Edina]()
- Theophane - a tank who can Taunt enemies and shield allies. Not as good as tanks belonging to other factions, but the best you can get in this one, making him important for the Faction Tower.
![Theophane]()
- Darcias - a DoT character who can be partnered with
Hati [Transcendent] as she can apply a lot of DoT for her to explode. Has no uses outside of DoT teams.![Hati [Transcendent]]()
- Agares - another DoT character, but while
Darcias is ST-focused, Agares is AoE-focused. Has niche uses in some events.![Darcias]()
Bloodborn
Core characters
- Quinn - a great tank/buffer hybrid who can absorb some of the damage her allies receive and apply a party-wide Cheat Death, allowing the whole team to survive for longer - especially in bigger deficit.
![Quinn]()
- Bella - the best 'tank' in the game. She summons puppets that do the tanking for her, while she sits behind them and heals them (she can also heal any other summons in the team, making her core tank for that archetype).
![Bella]()
- Dalcarlo - a CC/Debuffer/DPS hybrid who has insane range on her ultimate, allowing you to 'snipe' pesky Mages/Snipers hiding in the backline and interrupt their casting. If in a team with her Synergy greatly improves her overall damage.
![Dalcarlo]()
Other options
- Lamia - a decent DPS who was everyone's favorite on the game's launch, but her damage falls off a lot when you push the Story in bigger deficit - partially due to the 'random' nature of her Ultimate that spreads the damage between all enemies in wide range, making it hard to focus down important targets. Still great in any bossing content as she can 'bounce' her attacks off the same targets, leading to a lot burst damage. Great option to have vs Magic weak enemies thanks to the buffs from her Synergy.
![Lamia]()
- Stella - a great Assassin that can reduce her bloodsoul cost upon killing an enemy, works great for content where you can kill multiple adds or simply dealing with shields as she has a damage type of piercing.
![Stella]()
- Ottavia - a damage amplifier for Magical teams, used mostly in events and some bossing content.
![Ottavia]()
- Augustine - an assassin who can pull enemies from the backline to himself - has niche uses in some Story stages, but is great in PVP.
![Augustine]()
Kingdom
Core characters
- Aiona [Starry-Eyed] - a shielder/healer hybrid who can reposition the whole team with her Ultimate, which makes her crucial in a lot of fights where you need to avoid enemy attacks. Also, she provides a big shield for the ally in front of her (which in 99% will be the tank), allowing them to survive easier.
![Aiona [Starry-Eyed]]()
- Agnes - a DPS/Debuffer hybrid who can gather enemies, allowing her teammates to easily target them with their AOE attacks. She's also a cheap Crescent Moon, so she's easy to slot in various teams.
![Agnes]()
- Friedrich - a great tank who can shield himself and reduce the damage he takes. Has great synergy with
Aiona [Starry-Eyed] since her shields will still trigger his passive.![Aiona [Starry-Eyed]]()
Other options
- Cecia - a core DPS for the summoner archetype who shines really well in AoE scenarios.
![Cecia]()
- Ami - another character who can reposition the team and provide attack speed and DMG buffs to a single ally.
![Ami]()
- Gilrain - a basic attack focused DPS who can also stun enemies with his Ultimate.
![Gilrain]()
- Genevieve - a great crowd control unit, also buffs
Noah [Transcendent] pairing them together increases both of their effectiveness.![Noah [Transcendent]]()
