Julius is a damage dealer who can conjure flying blades that attack his targets, and once a certain number of them are summoned, he gains Lifesteal, allowing him to keep himself alive. Similar to Timeless Aiona, he can deal damage based on the target's Max HP, but it's capped based on his ATK.

Let's go over his kit.

His Talent is the core of his kit. Every 20 times Julius deals damage, he summons a flying blade that automatically performs follow-up attacks on whoever Julius damages, and the flying blade is responsible for dealing the % Max HP damage mentioned earlier. Julius can summon up to 3 flying blades, and once all are summoned, he gains Lifesteal, which means he can heal himself based on the damage he deals.

Next, Julius' Special is quite simple - every 4 Basic Attacks he performs, he triggers an additional attack against the current target.

As for his Ultimate, it's an AoE attack that gains additional damage based on the number of flying blades that are summoned currently - so it's best to use it once all three of them are already fighting beside Julius.

Overall, Julius' kit is a pretty simple one - he has no utility and focuses on dealing damage, but he does it quite well. Still, since he's a melee character, he's bound to struggle in bigger deficits, and while his Lifesteal is helpful, it takes time to activate it - making Julius quite vulnerable at the start of the battle. Also, he's a free character that you can obtain over time from the Ancestral Vault.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Good damage output in both single-target and AoE scenarios (though the AoE is a bit small),

  • Deals % HP damage based on the Max HP of the target,

  • Can keep himself alive thanks to Lifesteal,

  • Is free!

Cons

  • Has issues staying alive as a melee unit before getting 3 flying blades,

  • Really wants a lot ASPD on his gear so he can quickly get the flying blades out,

  • Low AoE range.

Skill Investment

The numbers in the skill levels are placed in this order: Basic / Special / Ultimate. You can find more information about the colors in the section below.

Here's the explanation for all the numbers and colors used in the guide:

  • 10/5/7 means upgrading Basic to lvl 10, Special to lvl 5, and Ultimate to lvl 7,
  • Blue means the immediate investment when u get the unit (and are using them),
  • Orange means recommended investment for F2P players,
  • Red means maximum recommended investment, in order to get the best out of the unit.

More info:

  • The skill investment list below features a lot of Level 4 and 7 because they are easier to understand. Any higher levels will cost a new type of resource.
  • However, you may choose to upgrade to Level 5 if you need a stronger effect instead of 4, as the increase in Blue Manual cost from Level 4 to 5 is still low. The leap only starts from Level 6 onward.
  • There is also a leap from Level 3 to 4, so if you want to save a tiny bit of Blue Manuals, then leave at 3 instead of 4.

Priority explained:

  • Meta: Most important characters used everywhere.
  • High: Good in various PvE content.
  • Medium: Good in at least one PvE content.
  • Low: Can perform well in some PVE content, but they're niche.
  • PvP: These units are mainly used in PvP.

The Recommended and Flex stats listed below aren't placed in specific order. We may order them in the future once we have a better understanding of the damage formula, but currently the order does not matter.
