Review

Satrana is an A-Rank Mauler Mage who functions more as a frontline Tank/Support. She's durable, self-sustaining, and excels at reducing enemy healing.

Her Ultimate, Fiery Dance, makes her invincible for the duration of casting it and dealing damage. The final hit Charms any enemies struck, preventing them from using skills.

Her first skill, Vixen Rush, deals bonus damage based on the target’s max HP and has Life Drain, healing Satrana for the damage dealt. At Supreme+, if all or at least five enemy heroes are ignited, this skill has no cooldown. With the Supreme+ (Level 2) upgrade, the requirement drops to just four ignited enemy heroes.

Her second skill, Ignite Passions, is a passive that activates at the start of battle. When Satrana or her allies hit an enemy three times, the target becomes ignited — taking damage over time and reducing their vitality which in turn reduces their healing. At Mythic+, igniting an enemy hero gives Satrana reduced Magic damage Taken for the rest of the battle. If two or more enemy heroes are ignited, she shares this buff with a nearby ally.

Now, for a quick overview of her performance in the various game modes:

  • Story and AFK stages - Satrana isn't often used as a main Tank, making her more of a secondary Tank who helps absorb damage for the backline while dealing damage and reducing enemy healing. She's situational and not viable for every AFK stage, but if a stage has enemies that mainly deal Magic damage, she can perform exceptionally well.

  • Dream Realm - Satrana is rarely used here, if at all. If you're looking for tankiness and support utility, there are better alternatives like Phraesto who also reduces Vitality, if you're looking for that.

  • PVP - Satrana has a niche in arena, where she can be used in Bonnie teams, since she provides an additional DoT source while also reducing enemy healing received. Satrana also serves as an additional source of Magic damage to trigger Bonnie’s debuff spread, all while being relatively tanky against the current Magic damage meta.

Conclusion

Satrana may be a situational character, but when the right scenario arises, she can perform exceptionally well. However, outside of those situations, her effectiveness drops off significantly.

We recommend investing at least Mythic+ for the Passive that reduces Magic damage Taken. Upgrading to Supreme+ is mainly worth it for the stat boost, as the Passive is mostly usable in PvP.

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Color explanation:

  • +X - where every character starts,
  • +X - the next step that you should do when investing into that character - for some characters this will be enough,
  • +X - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
