Rotation & How to Play
Spec Overview
Dissonance is Beat Performer’s hybrid spec blending ranged and melee gameplay while also combining healing and damage in one package. The way it achieves this is through its ability to heal a percentage of all damage done. Thanks to this, it can play in a similar fashion to a classical DPS, focusing on dishing out as much damage as possible while still sustaining the party. In exchange for this, Dissonance gives up much of its direct healing potential and instead relies mostly on attacking enemies, making times when that’s not possible a little awkward.
True to Beat Performer’s identity as the true support class of the game, Dissonance has a potent buff that increases Resilience Break Efficiency, alongside a 15% Final DMG multiplier when enemies are broken, that multiplies on top of all other damage boosting sources.
Pros
- Deals great damage at max potential, enough to even content with real DPS.
- Consistently heals while dealing damage.
- Near-permanent Super Armor for yourself.
Cons
- Ideal rotation relies on stat breakpoints.
- Needs most of its talent points in order to function effectively.
- Can’t heal consistently when there is no enemy target.

Performance Energy - Performance Energy is our energy bar, which we consume to use our major healing ability, Heroic Melody. We have a base amount of 50 Energy and a regeneration rate of 1 per second, but both values can be increased in our talent tree.

Performance Passion - Performance Passion is our other resource, needed for our most powerful damaging abilities. At a baseline, we have 5 notes and regenerate 1 every 5 seconds. We also possess a number of talents to help recover this resource.
Fixed Skills
- - Our 4-part Basic Attack, which isn’t normally used unless all other abilities are unavailable. The exception to this is when it’s enhanced into Piercing Strike, then we generally want to use it as soon as possibleString Strike
- This ability can be enhanced, evolving into Piercing Strike when certain talents trigger.
- - Our Special, which has multiple benefits but at base, deals damage to enemies, heals allies, and applies a shield that decays over time. This ability usually costs 3 Performance Passion to use, but can become discounted duringAmplified Beat, which we’ll be aiming to keep up throughout battle. Also used to enhance another of our core damaging abilities,Heroic Melody.Harmonic Anthem
- Infinite Rhapsody- This is the upgraded version of our Ultimate, . This Ultimate heals nearby allies and attacks enemies. It also doubles our Performance Passion cap and raises our Performance Passion to the cap. Compared to the default Ultimate, it also has a 40-second cooldown instead of 60 seconds.Rock the Stage
Mandatory Skills
- - A leaping guitar slam that deals high damage and gains additional hits each time we useHarmonic Anthem(up to a maximum of 3 additional hits).Amplified Beatis a core part of our damage output; we’ll be using it liberally even when not buffed up to maximum additional hit count.Harmonic Anthem
- Consumes a huge 5 Performance Passion baseline to mark the ground with a guitar symbol. All allies hit will be healed and have their debuff effects cleansed. All enemies struck will take significant damage. This ability is the cornerstone of the class. It empowers our entire kit by granting a 10% increase to our Fire DMG and by boosting our Luck% by x1.5.Rhapsody of Flame
- - With at least 15 Performance Energy,Heroic Melodycan be cast, causing us to strum our guitar, performing a tune to buff and heal allies at set intervals based on our haste. With talents, this ability also delivers a huge heal on cast, adding immediate healing to an otherwise over-time heal.Heroic Melodyis also the source of our Resilience Break buffs.Heroic Melody
Flex Skills (Choose 1)
- - While this buff is active, we deal additional damage to enemies and provide additional healing to allies (prioritizing the lowest HP ally). Casting this also provides Super Armor to 10 allies, preventing knockback from enemies.Encoreis the preferred choice when higher healing is needed, but if healing isn’t an issue and you want maximum damage,Encoremay be preferable.Center Stage
- - A self buff that increases our Magic Attack, allows the next 2 Special Attacks to consume no Performance Passion, and enhances the following ability used (not all abilities will be enhanced).Center Stageis the more damage-oriented choice; however, it results in less healing compared toCenter Stage.Encoreis generally preferable thanks to its outstanding talent support on our tree, butEncorehas a place when maximum damage is the goal. The relevant ability enhancements are:Center Stage
- : Halves the time needed to trigger Fierce Strike.Heroic Melody
- : Doubles the DMG dealt.Harmonic Anthem

Talents
Important!
Embedded are two endgame Dissonance trees: an Encore focused build with superior sustain, and a Center Stage build with better damage output. If you’re struggling to decide between the two, we recommend the Encore build as a baseline, as the additional sustain and utility it provides is more universal.
Gameplay Altering Talents:
Below is an outline of all the gameplay-altering effects you need to be aware of in the Dissonance spec.
Beat Performer Tree
- String Expansion - Upgrades the Performance Passion resource’s maximum points from 5 to 6, which is also taken into account by the Ultimate’s doubling effect (for up to 12).
- Melody Chord - Increases the generation speed of Performance Passion based on our Haste% at a 1% : 1% Haste to REG SPD ratio.
- Passion Surge - nts us occasional free uses of our Special Attack (no Performance Passion consumed) when our Melody is active.
Dissonance Tree
- Dissonance Spec - Our very first talent node, which sets our build focus towards Luck by boosting our Luck Chance by 1.5 times whilst standing in ’s graffiti mark. We’ll additionally get a brand new heal effect, in case of emergencies, where you cannot deal damage by using basic attacks without a target.Rhapsody of Flame
- Severed Chapter - Permanently increase the Resilience Break Efficiency of nearby allies by 10%. While using , you can provide another 30% increase to this stat on top of a unique 15% DMG multiplier to broken enemies. This talent node helps us break down enemies’ Resilience bar and buffs our party’s damage significantly.Heroic Melody
- Trio Rhapsody - Removes the RNG on the Graffiti of , now we’ll always cast it at its maximum size. Furthermore, our healing gains extra power inside the graffiti's area.Rhapsody of Flame
- Luck Multiplier - A basic but powerful node, enhancing a large majority of our damage by augmenting our Lucky Strike DMG Multiplier conversion from 1% every 1% Luck to 1.5% every 1% Luck, which is further increased during to 2%. This node saturates the Lucky Strike DMG Multiplier, but is still well worth using, as a large majority of our damage is Luck-based.Heroic Melody
- Swing Reflux - This node is fantastic in the early game due to its Performance Energy regeneration effect, which helps with our uptime.Heroic Melody
- This talent can be dropped once we have maxed out our talent tree and have enough Luck.
- Restart - When or Fierce Strike triggers a Lucky Strike,Harmonic Anthems will gain a free use, meaning the CD is reset and does not cost any Performance Passion. This node is essential for maintaining our graffiti mark on the ground as much as possible.Rhapsody of Flame
- Indomitable Chord - A very substantial upgrade to quality of life with its various effects. Super Armor prevents knockback, whilst the DMG Reduction and movement SPD help you tank/dodge damage easier.
- Infinite Rhapsody - Replaces our Ultimate with Infinite Rhapsody, making it cast instantly and lowering the cooldown to 40 seconds. This makes it much easier to use and gives us flexibility; with more uses, we can save it for emergency healing or use it for burst damage.
- Flame Note - Increases our damage by a significant margin by introducing extra instances of damage every time we use an Expertise Skill whilst inside our graffiti’s area. It’s important to note that these damage instances can Lucky Strike, which further boosts our Luck-based DPS capabilities.
- Encore Sharp Strike - When an Encore String is activated, it now regenerates 2 Performance Energy, with an extra 3 Energy every time an Encore String triggers a Lucky Strike. This node is vital for maintaining a stable amount of Performance Energy, which in turn helps us upkeep .Heroic Melody
- Encore Chain - Doubles the activation amount of Encore String, meaning double the damage and double the healing.
- Concerto: Amplified Beat - Gains 1 additional hit if standing in our graffiti at a small cost of losing 20% Ability DMG. Although the extra hit cannot trigger a Lucky Strike, doubling the hits is a significant damage increase.
- Encore Luck Boost - Increases our chance of triggering Encore Strings based on luck chance. We can achieve a high amount of Luck, which scales this node superbly and significantly improves our consistency in activating Encore String.
Encore Build
- Finale Command - The must-pick node for our build, greatly enhancing the synergy ofEncorewithEncore. Now, within 10 seconds of castingRhapsody of Flame, each cast ofEncorewill guarantee Encore String triggers.Rhapsody of Flame
Center Stage Build
- Soundwave Overclock - Greatly increases the capabilities of the “Sound Blaze” node for our build by doubling Soundwave Energy gained for 10 seconds after castingCenter Stage.Center Stage
- Lucky Soundwave - Further increases our Soundwave Energy generation, now granting additional Energy whenever Expertise abilities or trigger Lucky Strikes.Amplified Beat
- Critical Acclaim - A final core node for the build. During this ability, we have a fixed chance to cast Special Attacks at no Performance Passion cost.Center Stage
Player Choice Talents
- Fire Day - Grants Fire Bonus when hitting an Elite or a Boss. A basic improvement to DPS, but a great option once replacing “Swing Reflux” in the late game.

Main Stats
- Luck - Dissonance Spec’s most important Stat for several reasons:
- Most of our Encore String triggers are based on Luck.
- The majority of our damage is Luck-based.
- The Dissonance Spec applies a final x1.5 multiplier to the Stat, greatly improving the stat’s efficiency.
- Our goal is to hit 1910 points of Luck, to essentially have 70% Luck with the final multiplier. Investing in this stat will still provide the most gains out of all the stats until a soft cap of 2100 points. Even after this, more Luck can still help out our Spec.
- Haste - Haste is an essential stat for reducing the time between healing intervals in Heroic Melody as well as decreasing animation time for our abilities. It’s strongly advised to reach 20% Haste (1140 Haste), however, this stat also scales badly from this breakpoint onwards and is not recommended to further invest into.
- Versatility - This stat is always beneficial, providing an extra multiplicative boost on top of everything else. Stats suffer diminishing returns, so building a bit of Versatility can help a lot more for damage than overcommitting to one or two other stats. Since this Spec focuses on both healing and damage output, Versatility buffing both makes it a good option after sufficient Luck and Haste.
- Crit Rate - Another good stat to invest into alongside Versatility. Crit buffs our damage and allows our heals to critically heal. The gains on this stat and Versatility are very similar, and which stat to focus on is up to the player.
- Mastery - Mastery enhances our healing to damage conversion by empowering the base 20% DMG dealt to healing effect. Unfortunately, this stat scales very poorly based on testing. We recommend instead investing in Crit or Versatility as a third stat rather than Mastery.
Bonus Stats
In gear slots you’re not using Set Gear in and which aren’t taken up by your class's signature Class weapon (if you have it), prioritize the following Purple Stats:
Helmet, Armour, Gloves, Boots
Intellect%
Weapons & Accessories
Melee DMG% = DMG% vs. Bosses = ATK% > ATK SPD%
Set Gear
Dissonance’s 2P and 4P set bonuses are both definitely worth equipping as soon as you’re able to complete Raids and are better than Purple Bonuses. Here is what they do:

4-Piece SET

Our Class Weapon is also definitely worth using over purple stats. Instead of a purple stat it grants:
- 15% Luck Effect DMG.
- Increased stats
Here are the best modules for Beat Performer - Dissonance - listed in priority order:
- - Grants Magic Attack and INT and DMG% for great buffs to healing and/or damage.Intellect Boost
- - A good module for damage, thanks to its almost always relevant Boss/Elite DMG%.Elite Strike
- - Provides Magic Attack and INT - two great stats. It also boosts most of our healing capabilities from Expertise abilities like Heroic Melody.Healing Enhance
- This has lower priority if pushing the damage build.
- - Provides us with 12% Crit Damage and Crit Healing. It will be our only source of these stats, making it a strong option to increase our damage and healing output when investing into Crit.Crit Focus
- - It provides Luck DMG Multiplier, buffing the majority of our damage. Its value will diminish relative to the amount of Luck that we have, but it remains a top option.Luck Focus
- The value of this lucky dmg multiplier% from this module is heavily diminished by the fact that we already have so much of this stat, despite Luck being our highest damage.
- - Since our abilities are primarily melee, this module reduces our ability animation time and provides extra magic attack.Attack SPD

Some imagines will not be available to farm until all zones are unlocked - the most vital of these is
.Muku Scout
Premium
F2P
Top Gold Imagines
- - Tina buffs the party with a 50% cooldown reduction for 20 seconds, and once a party member is affected by this effect, they can’t be affected again for 60 seconds (Advancement 0). Tina is considered the best Imagine for support roles due to her buff, allowing classes to go back into their burst window more quickly.Tina
- - Provides Magic or Physical ATK% to both the user and the team for a decent damage increase, whilst also dealing a substantial amount of damage thanks to its Fire DMG DoT effects, which are applied on Lucky Strikes. Try to coordinate this buff with your party members for the best outcome.Brigand Leader
- - This Imagine pulses damage in a large area, applying up to an 8% generic damage taken debuff on enemies hit for the whole party. This debuff isn’t that strong as it only lasts 8 seconds, and stacks additively with all other sources of non-elemental DMG%, resulting in it usually being heavily diluted. Mostly useful in 20-man content; otherwise, Brigand Leader will perform better.Venobzzar Incubator
- - Provides Luck buffs during its active effect and otherwise allows us to trigger extra damage on Lucky Strikes. It can help reach our Luck goal during the buff’s duration and deals considerable damage, but the overall utility of the other Imagines is stronger.Storm Goblin King
Top Purple Imagines
- - Muku Scout grants us a passive 15% Magic ATK, and upon activation, it doubles the stacks, giving a tremendous 30% ATK buff, amplifying the entirety of our damage and heals. A generic, accessible, and exceptionally strong option.Muku Scout [A5]
- - Provides Luck buffs during its active effect and otherwise allows us to trigger extra damage on Lucky Strikes. The damage is great, particularly in AoE, so it is a solid Epic Imagine option.Lizardman Mage [A5]
- - A very F2P-friendly choice that empowers our Healing and Damage from Expertise abilities. Most of our healing is from Expertise, which makes this a great F2P option for this Spec.Shadow Captain [A5]
Culinary
- Seabreeze Special - Less Magic ATK but a buff of Elite/Boss DMG%, making us do more damage and slightly less healing.
- Bearcut Patty / Hearty Stewmix - The most Magic ATK we can get, empowering both the damage and the healing we can do.
Alchemy
- Fire Serum - The best and only choice for our Alchemy consumable when aiming for maximum damage and healing.
- Diamond - Intellect (Luck) - This is our best general option for stacking up more Luck for damage/healing.
Rotation & How to Play
Imagines
Our Imagine cooldowns are not particularly needed at a certain point of our rotation. As a Support, we’ll use our Imagines to provide utility and damage increases for our allies, coordinating with their burst windows instead of our own.
General Rotation Focus
Our rotation should always start with
Our next goal is to permanently maintain
Dissonance Spec has no set rotation as it is largely based on Luck effects; instead, we execute abilities according to the following priority system:
- Keep up at all times, refreshing every 10 secondsHeroic Melody
- Ensure s’ graffiti is up at all times, and it should be cast off cooldown.Rhapsody of Flame
- Infinite Rhapsody should be cast off cooldown, but can be saved for emergencies.
- Fierce Strike (Empowered )String Strike
- Empowered Amplified Beat
- with at least oneHarmonic Anthemcast before.Amplified Beat
Tip
If There are a lot of talent effects that rest or discount ability costs, shown by a red glowing effect on the skill’s ability icon. Casting these when up is ideal.
Can Dissonance be played on auto?
Once you have enough luck to maintain all of your buffs with 80%+ uptime, this class becomes viable on auto. Since the main gameplay loop revolves around pressing procs right as they come up, autoplay can often do that more quickly than a person can. The only issue you can run into with auto is that it will not time Encore properly for the most effective party buff. However, if you play semi-auto and disable Encore, this is a good option for farming world bosses or doing damage during large-scale content.
