Class Overview
Stormblade is one of the classes available in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. They fulfill the DPS role while wielding a Reaper Scythe as their weapon of choice. Stormblade has access to two specs - Iaido Slash and Moonstrike. Below you can find a summary of both, showing their strong and weak sides, how they play and more.

Iaido Slash is a fast-paced spec that is slightly ping-sensitive and heavily relies on its cooldown Volt Surge to deal the majority of its damage. This spec uses a builder-spender playstyle focused on cramming all of its meaningful DPS into high-intensity burst windows, chaining high “spender” abilities one after the other.
Iaido’s hallmark feature is that with enough Crit Rate. While Volt Surge is active, it can use high spender abilities back to back at maximum power effectively for free, delivering some of the best burst damage in the game.
Iaido boasts two entirely different playstyles, with one focusing on chaining the skills “Iaido Slash” and “Flash Strike” back to back via cooldown resets enabled by specific talents. The other playstyle focuses on building up the “Thundrage” resource to unleash powerful evolved abilities (sadly, this playstyle is significantly weaker and currently unviable for endgame content)
Pros
- Exceptional burst damage.
- Exceptional endgame scaling.
- High maximum damage potential.
Cons
- High ping and auto unfriendly.
- Low party utility.
- Requires high Crit to function well.

Moonstrike is a stat-hungry spec that relies on having high Haste and Luck to reach its full potential. Its gameplay revolves around summoning and maintaining spinning scythes while using the Blade Intent resource on its core ability, Thundercut, to deal an endless flurry of strikes and slashes from multiple different sources.
Moonstrike’s main feature is its stat breakpoints, the main one being that at certain Haste thresholds, Thundercut hits can be multiplied by up to 4 times!
When played and geared well, Moonstrike is competitive in high-end content and ends up with abundant resources to spam abilities to your heart's content!
Pros
- Good burst damage.
- Exceptional endgame scaling (with breakpoints).
- Edgy Scythes.
Cons
- Potential relies on breakpoints.
- Low party utility.
- Scythe Wheel can be buggy in certain fights.

Battle Imagines
Important!
Do not choose your Imagines based on your leveling experience. Reaching max level with no Imagines is easy - save crafting them until after you’ve found a spec you enjoy, then choose the best Imagines for it. You can use the freely given Imagines in the meantime.
