Modules

Modules are the equivalent of gear in Etheria: Restart. You can farm them in the Threshold mode where you will have three different bosses that each drops different gear sets.
Module types & slots

Each character can equip 6 modules - 3 on the left side and 3 on the right side.
- The three slots on the left side have fixed main stats:
- Mask - Flat ATK
- Transistor - Flat HP
- Wristwheel - Flat DEF
- The three slots on the right side can be slotted with Cores and they have a bigger pool of main stats:
- HP, DEF, ATK, (both flat and percentage for the three), CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Effect ACC and Effect RES.
There's no Speed main stats - so you have to hunt for the most coveted stat on the sub-stats instead.
Module rarities
Modules come in different rarities - starting with Normal and ending with Mythic. Rarity decides the amount of sub-stats the module piece starts with (1-4) and the number of Matrix Levels it can roll (1-3) - the higher the rarity, the higher chance to roll higher values for both.
List of all rarities and how to obtain them:
- Normal - random drops from story,
- Fine - random drops from story,
- Rare - Threshold (Normal difficulty)
- Unique - Threshold (Normal difficulty)
- Epic - Threshold (Hard difficulty)
- Outstanding - Threshold (Nightmare difficulty)
- Mythic - Threshold (Hell & Inferno difficulties)
Upgrading modules

To upgrade a module, you only need Etheria Coins - so no need to feed modules into modules - but the cost increases with each level, so early on don't really upgrade stuff too much. Also, if a module starts with just 1 sub-stat, upgrading it to +3 will unlock the second slot and so on. But in the case of a 4 sub-stat module, upgrading it will instead improve one of the sub-stats randomly.
The upgrade breakpoints are: +3, +6, +9, +12 and +15
Module Main Stats values (Mythic)
Below you can find the ranges for the Main stats that change based on the upgrade level (but only for Mythic rarity, since that's the endgame gear - lower rarities have lower values):
Stat | +0 Module | +9 Module | +15 Module |
---|---|---|---|
ATK | +50 | +210 | +330 |
HP | +500 | +2100 | +3300 |
DEF | +40 | +160 | +250 |
ATK% | +15% | +35% | +50% |
HP% | +15% | +35% | +50% |
DEF% | +15% | +35% | +50% |
CRIT Rate | +12% | +28% | +40% |
CRIT DMG | +18% | +42% | +60% |
Effect ACC | +18% | +42% | +60% |
Effect RES | +18% | +42% | +60% |
Module Sub-Stats values (Mythic)
Below you can find the ranges for the Sub-stats and the maximum possible roll you can get if you manage to upgrade a sub-stat 5 times (so the maximum possible roll you can get if you're really lucky on a single piece of module).
Keep in mind that the values below only apply to Mythic rarity modules - the lower rarities will have lower values.
Stat | Roll ranges (per roll) | Max roll (5 times) |
---|---|---|
ATK | 19-22 | 132 |
HP | 192-202 | 1212 |
DEF | 13-14 | 84 |
ATK% | 2-3% | 18% |
HP% | 2-3% | 18% |
DEF% | 2-3% | 18% |
SPD | 2-4* | 18 (24*) |
CRIT Rate | 2-3% | 18% |
CRIT DMG | 3-4% | 24% |
Effect ACC | 3-4% | 24% |
Effect RES | 3-4% | 24% |
*Speed is really weird - you will get 3 points in most of the cases and very rarely you will get 2 or 4 instead.
Module sets

Modules come with different sets, but the system in Etheria: Restart is a bit more complicated.
Each module can drop with 1-3 Matrix Levels that you can find at the bottom of the module - the icons represent the set and the number of them the Matrix Level (check the image above for how it looks).
With 6 slots for modules, this gives you a total pool of 18 Matrix Levels you can use (but Shells provide you with up to 9 additional Matrix Levels, bringing the total to 27). This is important, because sets have different thresholds to activate their bonuses. Let's look at three examples:

Onslaught
Type: ATK
Source: Terrormaton
4/12: ATK +10%
8/12: ATK +25%
12/12: ATK +45%

Strive
Type: SPD / Skill CD
Source: Aurora
4/8: DEF +10%
8/8: DEF +10%. After being attacked, advances Turn Meter by 10%.

Swiftraid
Type: SPD / Skill CD
Source: DokiDoki
6/6: SPD +15% & ATK +20%
The Onslaught set requires 12 Matrix Levels to activate the max benefit (but you can also only activate the 4 or 8 set bonus), the Strive set requires 8, while the Swiftraid set requires only 6. This means that there's a lot combinations you can use and picking the most optimal one will be very important!
The bonuses on a set aren't cumulative! So if you activate the 12/12 bonus, only it will active - not the ones that require lesser amounts of Matrix Levels.
Recycle
You can recycle both upgraded and non upgraded Modules to get Coins.
For the upgraded Modules, the refund is around 40% of what you have invested into the Module piece - it costs 680k to upgrade a Mythic piece from +0 to +15 and you get back 277k.
Where to get Modules?

Modules can be obtained from the Threshold mode. There are 3 Threshold bosses - Aurora, DokiDoki and Terrormaton - and each requires different approach and teams to beat.
Depending on your account and what characters you want to focus on, you will target different bosses - usually one boss will be the primary focus and one secondary, while the third will be ignored until you will want to expand your character roster.
Here you can read about the three Threshold bosses:
