Review
Lua specialises in inflicting sustained damage via her shock application, short cooldown Active skill, and Ultimate. Her Ultimate skill deals damage to all enemies and inflicts Shock (Targets affected by Shock take additional damage whenever hit), also increasing her ATK speed for a period of time. Her Active Skill deals AOE damage, inflicts Shock and deal bonus damage if it attacks 3 or more enemies. Her Quick Draw Passive allows her to do an Additional Hit for every attack, and also reduces the cooldown on her active skill if her Ultimate’s buff is active. Her Immersion Passive increases the number of targets hit by her Basic Attacks and increases her own Attack and Critical Hit Rate.
Lua was one of the best DPSes at launch, eventually falling off with the release of newer DPSes. Her most recent balance patch gave her a number of new toys. Her Active has a ridiculously short cooldown, applies a constant stream of Shock, and can now also be spammed after using her ultimate skill. Lua’s wave clear gives her a solid niche in Stonehenge and Brawl, and her personal damage output makes her a solid DPS option in the Yeti and Flame Kay (Magic Resistance) Raids. That being said, Lua is still quite squishy and can get blown up without strong healing/ tank support, keeping her restricted to competitive content only.
Lua’s Card Elgrad Sword Art Journal has impressive CDMG and Additional DMG stat lines. It also reduces the user’s Active Skill CD to 0 after a set duration. While it is a solid option for many DPSes looking to maximise their personal damage, it is used more often by crowd control characters looking to maximise their crowd control uptime.
High sustained AoE DPS
Good Shock uptime.
Short cooldown and animation time on her Active, making her a solid farmer for Brawl and Stonehenge.
Squishy.

Ran - Ran does bonus damage to Shocked enemies and can inflict a rare Defense shred debuff. It’s like the Devs are screaming at you to use them together.
