Lua specialises in high sustained DPS for both Raid and PvE situations. Her Ultimate skill deals damage to all enemies and inflicts Shock (Targets affected by Shock take additional damage whenever hit). Her Active Skill is the same as her Ultimate skill but with lower multipliers and an additional Self Defense increase. Her Quick Draw Passive allows her to do an Additional Hit for every attack. Her Immersion Passive increases the number of targets hit by her Basic Attacks and increases her own Attack if field weather is Rain.
Lua is one of the best DPSes at launch, eventually giving way to ranged DPSes like Lisa and Tiamat when she couldn’t tank frontline well enough. With Dian Cecht’s advent, Lua has now skyrocketed back into Raid relevance along with her master, Ran as one of the premier Knight DPS. Her Active has a ridiculously short cooldown and applies a constant stream of Shock, giving her incredible sustained DPS. Being able to naturally mob 6 to 7 enemies also gives her fantastic wave clear. She sees a lot of use for Avalon Wall battles and the Kraken daily raid.
That being said, outside of her Defense buff, Lua is quite squishy and can get blown up without strong healing/ tank support.
Lua’s Card Elgrad Sword Art Journal is primarily used by DPS (Notably Lisa and Tristan). It reduces the user’s Active Skill CD to 0 after a set duration. Its Stat Lines meanwhile provide a raw damage increase with Additional Damage and Critical Damage increase. It is best to have a high Critical Hit Rate in order to maximize this Card.
