Tristan is all about sending her enemies back to their Roots. Her Ultimate skill deals damage to all enemies and inflicts Rooted on them. Her Triangle Buster Active Skill and Nature’s Shackle Active Skill is the same as her Ultimate but with lower multipliers. Her Hyperfocus Passive increases her own Ranged Attack and Critical Hit Rate.
Tristan is unique in the sense that she has 2 Active skills, and all of them along with her Ultimate can inflict Root. Paired with Merlin and the Barisada weapon, Tristan can keep an enemy locked down for a ludicrously long time, stopping any potential team wiping enemy attacks. Tristan and Merlin are the key lynchpins in the early game Healerless raid teams, and paired with Vivian, was one of the stronger Nature DPS teams early into the game’s service.
Tristan’s Card Unerring Bow can be used by Ranged DPS. It increases the user’s Ranged Critical Hit Rate by up to 15% when at 10% HP or higher whereas its Stat Lines increases the user’s Ranged Attack and Ignore Damage Reduction stat.
Primarily used for Ignore Damage Reduction stat against Bosses such as Urien in World Tree and to burst down the Walls and Castle Gate in Avalon (Guild War) that possess innate Damage Reduction.

Recommended Transcend - T0 (Tristan enjoys the majority of her kit at level 3 skills, and further scaling will give her more personal DPS.

- Merlin - High freeze uptime. Can lock down bosses for a very, very long time.

- Elgrad Sword Art Journal (Lua) - General purpose DPS card that can reset her Active Skill cooldowns, giving her even more Root uptime.
- Manager's Dignity (Enya) - Grants Attack Speed and Additional Damage, along with a Party wide Additional Damage buff.

Should none of these cards be available, Tristan can work with any card that gives Attack %, Attack Speed, Critical Damage, or Critical Hit Rate.
