Tristan is all about sending her enemies back to their Roots. Her Ultimate skill deals damage to all enemies and inflicts Rooted on them. Her Triangle Buster Active Skill is the same as her Ultimate but with lower multipliers. Her Passive 1, Determination, applies an Attack Speed buff whenever she uses her Active or Ultimate. While this buff is active, Basic Attacks deal additional damage and apply Nature’s Shackle, which detonates at 40 stacks to deal further damage and apply Root. Her Hyperfocus Passive increases her party’s Attack stat and her own Critical Hit Rate while permanently applying a DMG taken debuff on enemies as long as she is active on the field.
Tristan remains the same root happy CC support post October’s balance patch, but now packs both a party ATK buff and permanent Damage Taken buff. This bumps her placement in the meta up to the likes of Nia, Esteria, Belsey and Lumi. In comparison to the other CC supports, Tristan brings 3 sources of CC to their 2, and her DMG Taken debuff, while weaker in value, is basically permanent as long as Tristan is active on the field. This makes her suitable to pair with the current top Archer DPS, Crassa, who benefits greatly from her sustained damage. Tristan also pairs fantastically well with Palamedes as well, providing multiple sources of CC for Palamedes to proc off.
Tristan is an easy fit as a support into any team across both PvE and Raid content at the moment and is a generally strong pick up for most players.
Tristan’s Card Unerring Bow can be used by Ranged DPS. It increases the user’s Ranged Critical Hit Rate by up to 15% when at 10% HP or higher whereas its Stat Lines increases the user’s Ranged Attack and Ignore Damage Reduction stat.
Primarily used for the Ignore Damage Reduction stat against Bosses such as Urien in World Tree and to burst down the Walls and Castle Gate in Avalon (Guild War) that possess innate Damage Reduction.
3 sources of Root - Ult, Active Skill, Passive
Permanent DMG Taken Debuff pairs better with sustained DPS characters.
Universal support kit for both PvE and Raid - CC, ATK buff, DMG Taken AMP.
Generally squishy.
Middling DMG output.
