Yumi is a sustained DPS caster that can greatly increase her damage against Frozen enemies. Her Passive 1, increases her damage against Frozen enemies by 50% while granting a 2nd 10 second buff, which increases her Skill Damage and Basic Attack Damage when enemies are Frozen. Her ultimate deals AOE damage and inflicts a 4-second freeze (the outfit change is purely cosmetic). Her Active and Passive 2 are an AOE attack skill and a Critical Damage + Critical Hit Rate increase, respectively.

Like other Collab units, Yumi’s skill is simple and intended to ease newer players into the game. She does have a fairly steep requirement in contrast to her compatriots - having a Freeze applicator is a must for any team thinking of fielding her. Once these requirements are met, Yumi deals respectable sustained Damage and even brings her own 4-second freeze to the party - handy for dodging dangerous periods of incoming damage.

While her foray into the meta is expected to be short-lived, Yumi has already found possible placements in Morrigan, Vivien and MLF (Physical Resistance) raids. The opportunity cost of having to field 1 other freeze enabler being worth the additional Damage source, however, remains to be seen. Higher transcends of Yumi should be seen as a luxury for now, and we will get back within a week or so if this situation changes.

Yumi’s card, Between Snowflakes, is essentially an Enya card, but with your standard Magic ATK/ Critical Hit Rate statline. This card is essentially comparable to Merlin and Vivien’s cards, and is a highly recommended pick up while Yumi’s banner is available. Choosing between the 3 cards is basically dependent on what stat you need more of.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Strong sustained DPS output.
A 4-second Freeze on Ultimate is very strong in the right circumstances.
No frills, easy-to-understand kit.
Ultimate follows the time-honoured code of “Less Clothes = More Power”.

Cons

Must field a Freeze applier to maximise her kit.
Very likely to fall off performance-wise in the long term.

Synergies

Merlin - Currently Yumi’s best enabler - provides Freeze every 9 seconds to enable her passive while bringing both Defense Reduction and Critical Hit Chance to further spike Yumi’s damage.
Galahad - Standard Wizard/ Archer buffer with a massive ATK buff and DMG reduction buff, essentially the cornerstone for any Archer/ Wizard DPS comps. Check out our team building guide for more info.

Cards

Red Dragon’s Blessing (60F) - Gives Yumi another source of Damage output while spiking her ATK and Critical Hit chance stats - this option is one of the best for Yumi’s personal Damage.
Between Snowflakes (Yumi) - The most important reason to pick up Yumi. Provides an Additional Damage party buff which increases overall party damage output.
Water Dragon’s Blessing (Merlin) - Standard Mage Card with party ATK buff.
Madness (Vivien) - Standard Mage Card with party Crit Damage Buff.

Comments

Any card that grants Magic ATK%, Attack Speed, Additional Damage, Critical Hit Rate and Critical Damage will work great on Yumi.
