Can you give a brief summary about this unit?

Snow Crane is a "health insurance" attorney who offers to do something but is terrible at that thing. Even worse, she prohibits others from doing what she does. Meet the worst healer in the game, Snow Crane. This 40s B2 Defender who hails from Missilis is capable of creating Individual Shields to protect the team as well as increasing the team's Max HP continuously and healing them. However, they are not very useful from a practical point of view.

We don't see Snow Crane being anywhere in the game, except in 3 distinct cases:

  • Against Ultra AI: If you don't have Crown, Tia, CentiTr, ReiA, or MoranTr, you can use Snow Crane as an off-burst shielder.

  • Against Ultra Museum: At low sync, the only way to survive is to use Individual Shields. Snow Crane can do just that. Not optimal for veterans.

  • In PvP: Snow Crane is the only B2 Defender who doesn't feed and has a Burst that heals the whole team. Paired with Biscuit, she can be a cope frontline tanker.

How about Missilis Tower? Due to Snow Crane's Shield activating after entering Full Burst, it cannot satisfy Naga's Burst Skill ATK condition. It can still trigger Naga's S2 Core Damage, but you're missing out on a large chunk of buff. Just use Tia.

Note that Snow Crane does regularly trigger Crown's S2, which is not bad. The problem is, she offers nothing herself, except Max HP▲ for units like Cindy/XMaiden, the value of which is just not attractive enough.

Should I pull or mileage this unit?

After a long time, we can finally confidently say NO to someone. This applies to all player groups, old and new.

Should I get dupes?

Also NO.

Kit Analysis

Snow Crane operates based on a contract called Exclusive Recovery Agreement, activated immediately upon the battle starting.

Exclusive Recovery Agreement allows Snow Crane to heal the team every 3 Full Charge(s).

  • The value of this healing is abysmally low. You won't see much impact from it. Because of that, Snow Crane shouldn't be considered a healer per se. Treat her as a shielder.

  • It can permanently trigger Crown's S2.

If Snow Crane (not the team) receives healing from sources other than Snow Crane herself, she collects 1 Proof of Violation. Reach 3, and Terminated Contract will be triggered—which results in her no longer healing the team but only herself.

  • When this happens, the team will also lose her Max HP▲ buff.

  • Proof of Violation reduces the amount of healing Snow Crane receives, but it is rendered ineffective upon Terminated Contract.

  • Proof of Violation is not a stack-based debuff. You cannot reduce it with Anchor's S1.

  • You also can't cleanse it.

Regardless of whether Terminated Contract has been triggered, she erects Individual Shields for everyone upon entering Full Burst.

  • This can protect the team from lethal one-shot attacks, such as those from mobs at high deficits.

  • This can overlay an existing shield, such as Crown's, granting protection from additional attacks.

She also still heals the team considerably when using Burst Skill. However, its 40s cooldown and the lack of offensive buffs makes it unideal for use in PvE.

Tier List & Usage Analysis
Campaign: C

Her rating here is simply carried by two things:

  • Shields are OP for survivability against lethal one-shots.

  • She can trigger Crown's S2 continuously and provide another layer of shield (two shields).

The problem is that she is strictly an off-burst support and that she doesn't really offensively buff any meta mobbing Nikkes. If it's possible, find a way not to use her. Plus, if you already have Crown, there are better off-burst supports than Crane.

Bossing: D

She's absolutely terrible. Her only saving grace is her passive 10% Max HP▲ that can buff Cindy/XMaiden. Sure, she has Individual Shields and she can also trigger Crown's S2, but she is nowhere near meta. Plus, her 40s CD means she's forced to be off burst, which means no 1-1-3. Normally, this is fine if that FLEX slot is a powerful support, but Snow Crane is not.

That being said, you can still situationally use her if you don't have better shielders against some bosses. Against Ultra, for example, Crown is indispensable at lower syncs. If you don't have Crown, you'd use Tia. If you don't have Tia? Well, attack other bosses or cope with Snow Crane, I guess.

PvP: B

The only B2 Defender in the game that doesn't feed and can heal the whole team. She is not meta, but she can be situationally used with Biscuit to cover your frontline, especially if you don't have better units. You can also use her to heal your team, but AnchorM does that better. She also gives Max HP, which buffs Cindy's AoE, and makes the team tankier.

Be careful when using her in stall teams because her Max HP can deactivate quickly. The extra 10% Max HP↑ can still absorb some damage at the start of fights, though.

Investments
Gear Investments

Snow Crane doesn't deal damage nor give caster's ATK buff. However, she gives caster's Max HP buff and a lot of healing if Burst is used. If you need these to be more potent, such as in PvP, or need more CP, feel free to overload and level up gear that increase base HP.

Snow Crane doesn't require any specific OL. 1-2× Max Ammo may be handy for burst gen, but that's normally not needed.

  • Ideal: 1-2× Max Ammo

  • Filler: -

  • Priority: 1

  • Note: 1-2× Max Ammo may be handy for burst gen in PvE, but that's not always needed. Overload only if Max HP, healing, or extra CP is desired in PvP.

Skill Investments
  • Skill 1: 4-7

    • The Max HP buff can amplify Max HP-dependent units and make units in PvP slightly tankier.

    • While 10 brings impact in PvP, she's too niche to warrant the cost. Max. Lv. 7 recommended.

  • Skill 2: 4-7

    • Increases healing and shields' durability. Often, these are useless, but Lv. 7 is cheap for endgame players. Beginners can stop at 4.

  • Burst Skill: 7

    • Burst is typically not used in PvE.

    • If used in PvP, ideally upgrade to 7. She's not meta enough to warrant 10.

Cube Investments

Snow Crane doesn't really need a specific cube, so just use your highest level cube, which is likely Resilience or Bastion. They also increase her Basic Attack uptime, increasing the frequency of her heals.

Alternatively, use Vigor or Healing Cube, which improves her healing. Tempering also makes her tankier.

Doll Investments

If extra CP/Max HP/Damage Reduction/healing is desired in PvP, consider at least SR 5.

Review
Pros

  • Individual Shields can protect the team from strong one-shot attacks.

  • Shields do not require Burst to activate.

  • Heals are frequent and thus can permanently trigger Crown’s S2.

  • Max HP▲ buff can amplify the attack of some units and strengthen the team's survivability.

  • Perfect rendition of a health insurance company.

Cons

  • If others heal her, she feels offended and sulks.

  • Healing is meager unless you Burst with her, but it doesn’t give any offensive buffs.

  • Shields trigger after Full Burst, so they cannot boost Naga’s Burst Skill.

  • The first bad unit of 2026.

  • No one likes the health insurance company.

Investment Tips

Skill Investment

Here's the explanation for all the numbers and colors used in the guide:

  • 10/5/7 means upgrading Skill 1 to lvl 10, Skill 2 to lvl 5, and Burst Skill to lvl 7,
  • Yellow means the immediate investment when u get the unit. There are 3 reasons for this:
    • If the unit is Meta or High Priority, it will have a starting investment of more than 1/1/1 (such as 4/4/4) depending on what the unit provides.
    • If the unit is Medium or Low Priority, 1/1/1 will be mentioned, meaning no immediate investment is required, and you can invest in this character if you need to use it according to the priority listed.
    • If we deem that a unit does not have usable skills to be meta for any gamemode, no investment will be mentioned.
  • Blue means minimum investment to take advantage of the Nikke's skills. There are 2 reasons for this:
    • Sometimes, minimum investments are breakpoints such as for Noir or SAnis.
    • Sometimes, minimum investments are just the ideal way to progress to upgrade that unit, before moving on to Recommended and High.
  • Red means recommended investment for F2P players,
  • Purple means maximum recommended investment, in order to get the best out of the unit. You should only try to reach these investments if you have a surplus of Skill Books leftover.

More info:

  • The skill investment list below features a lot of Level 4 and 7 because they are easier to understand. Any higher levels will cost a new type of resource.
  • However, you may choose to upgrade to Level 5 if you need a stronger effect instead of 4, as the increase in Blue Manual cost from Level 4 to 5 is still low. The leap only starts from Level 6 onward.
  • There is also a leap from Level 3 to 4, so if you want to save a tiny bit of Blue Manuals, then leave at 3 instead of 4.
Gear Investment

This Overload (OL) Recommendations and Priority guide unravels in detail everything you need about a character in terms of priority, overload targets (effects), and order of acquisition, alongside some notes to explain our thinking process.

For OL targets and order of acquisition, we decided to divide the target effects into several categories.

  • Essential: With all gear combined, your unit must have the roll(s) prescribed as a minimum requirement. Example: Charge Speed on Alice. You cannot compromise on these rolls.
  • Ideal: These rolls will improve your unit's performance significantly. Aim for 2 lines of Essential/Ideal per gear for maximum performance and the best Return on Investment (ROI). If you get 3, you are lucky. You can choose to only have 1 as well to save materials. Example: Elemental Damage on Scarlet.
  • Passable: Low-priority line that has either limited value or the impact is not as strong as other rolls. Should this show up as a bonus together with a better line, you can choose to keep them. Example: Charge Speed on Red Hood.

Overload effects are ordered by importance from Left to Right, which means anything on the left provides more value than the right. Effects that belong to the same group generate too similar an impact to make a difference (and are sometimes interchangeable). Try to follow this order as faithfully as possible for maximum mileage.

Additional tips:

  • Priority (PvE/PvP) isn't necessarily lower than Priority (Universal), which has no tag/label. It just indicates that this unit performs only in select types of content.
  • If a suggested effect has the number ×2 next to it, that means you should get the effect on at least 2 gear. The same idea applies to other numbers.
  • Focus on obtaining Essential(s) then you can start worrying about optimizing your rolls. Units require these to function, and the impact is too massive to ignore.
  • If a unit has no Essential(s), that means their performance is not that dependent on OL, but they can still benefit from good effects.
  • Remember that this is just a recommendation list, and attaining perfection is impossible. You will have to make some compromise, pick whichever rolls you desire the most, and conserve as much material as possible.
