The yellow color shows the Primary Attribute and the green Secondary Attribute. Both of those attributes, on top of their normal bonuses, provide additional ATK to the character.
Seething Wolfblood
An attack with up to 5 sequences that deals Physical DMG. As the controlled operator, Final Strike also deals 18 Stagger.
Basic attack performed in mid-air becomes a dive attack that deals Physical DMG to nearby enemies.
Basic attack performed near a Staggered enemy becomes a finisher attack that deals massive Physical DMG and recovers some SP.
[Final Strike]: Final Strike is the last sequence of Basic Attack. When the controlled operator's Final Strike hits the enemy, it also deals Stagger and restores some Skill Points (SP).
Crimson Shadow
SP Cost: 100
[Lift]: Applies Vulnerability on an enemy. If the enemy is already Vulnerability, then add 1 stack of Vulnerability, and deal Physical DMG and Stagger.
[Vulnerability]: Hitting an enemy for the first time with a skill with Physical Status applies Vulnerability instead of the actual Physical Status. A Vulnerability enemy can be Lifted and Knocked Down to add more Vulnerability stacks (up to 4). Hitting a Vulnerability enemy with Crush or Breach will consume the Vulnerability stacks.
Moment of Blazing Shadow
Cooldown: 14s
Trigger: When an enemy has both Vulnerability and Arts Infliction stacks.
[Arts Infliction]: Arts Infliction are special Arts debuffs inflicted upon the enemy. There are 4 elements of Arts Inflictions: Heat Infliction, Electric Infliction, Cryo Infliction and Nature Infliction. Up to 4 stacks of Arts Infliction of the same element can be applied.
[Lift]: Applies Vulnerability on an enemy. If the enemy is already Vulnerability, then add 1 stack of Vulnerability, and deal Physical DMG and Stagger.
"Razorclaw" Ambuscade
Energy cost: 110
[Heat Infliction]: Heat Infliction is a type of Arts Infliction. Up to 4 stacks of Heat Infliction can be applied and stacking triggers Heat Burst. A non-Heat Infliction + Heat Infliction = Combustion.
Clan Etiquette
Scent of the Hunt
[Combustion]: An enemy with Combustion takes Heat DMG over time. A non-Heat Infliction + Heat Infliction = Combustion.

Umbral Monument
High damage ceiling, having a strong Ultimate burst and good multipliers on both Combo & Battle Skills, making for a well-rounded DPS.
Can work in a variety of teams, with valid options for both Arts and Physical compositions.
Easy to gear, with plenty of competitive weapon choices aside from her signature.
Nella botte piccola, c'e il vino buono.
Split damage types makes team-building awkward, with anti-synergies across different members.
Can have long and/or SP-demanding rotations depending on team and content type (e.g. 0 vs full Energy starts).
Perfect timing Combo Skill is non-negotiable to get the most out of the character, which some may find overbearing.
In bocca al lupo...
Rossi is a 6-star, Physical, Sword Guard who shines as a damage dealer, having a heavy emphasis on critical hits. Her core mechanic revolves around converting Arts Inflictions into Vulnerability stacks, all the while doing plenty of Physical and Heat DMG to tear enemies down.
Emphasis on "and", as despite being a Physical Operator, Rossi works with split damage types. Most of her attacks deal Physical DMG, but the harder-hitting parts of her kit are Arts-based. This hybrid approach to combat is reflected in her class more generally as well.
Although she is a Guard, her kit is somewhat akin to that of a Striker's. As is typical for Guards, Rossi can build statuses quickly, with both her Combo and Battle Skill able to supply Vulnerability stacks for the team. She's unique from others however, in that she builds more Vulnerability when consuming Arts Inflictions, and her Talents become more potent against Combusted enemies.
As a result, despite being a Physical Operator, Rossi needs at least one team member to apply Arts Inflictions to enemies. Not only to sustain her Vulnerability stack build, but for her damage as a whole, as both her skill multipliers and buffs rely on it.
"Moment of Blazing Shadow" is Rossi's Combo Skill, and it’s triggered only when an enemy has both Vulnerability and Arts Infliction stacks on them at the same time.
It's a 2-part skill: the first sequence deals middling amounts of Physical DMG, but it then leads to a second prompt which the player needs to activate at the right time. Rossi will always transition to the second part, which applies 1 instance of Lift and buffs Rossi's Critical Rate and Critical DMG for 15s. Unlike most other Combo Skills, it generates 20 Ultimate energy (10 from each sequence).
If, however, the second sequence is timed perfectly, then it will build an additional stack of Vulnerability on top.
The more Arts Inflictions are present, the harder the skill will hit, but keep in mind that this scaling element is for damage purposes only. Rossi will at most only ever build 2 Vulnerability stacks with one cast: 1 from the second sequence, and another from perfect timing!
Note: Vulnerability only builds if the second sequence consumes Arts Inflictions. If Arts is cleared after the first sequence but before the second (such as with a reaction), then there will be no Vulnerability applied!
It has a decently short cooldown - 15s before M3 - which matches the duration of its buff, but depending on the team it may be difficult to trigger on demand owing to general SP economy. This means that in practice, unloading Rossi's damage shortly after is often for the best.
"Crimson Shadow" is one such skill. Like her Combo Skill, it has 2 parts: by default, it will deal Physical DMG and apply Lift, but if Rossi hits a target that already has a Vulnerability stack, then she unleashes a set of "Wolven Ambrage" that deal Heat DMG. This Wolven Ambrage also generates an additional 10 energy for Rossi alone, making for a total of 16.5 when SP consumption is factored in.
This second strike deals 50% more damage than the first and 3 times as much stagger, so SP spent on it is best done when Vulnerability stacks are already built to trigger Wolven Ambrage, but there may be circumstances where it’s worth using it for the first stack (such as to maximise Pogranichik’s Fervent Morale).
"Nicks and Scratches" is the first of her Talents, and it triggers only when the Wolven Ambrage follow-up from her Battle Skill lands, applying "Razor Clawmark" to targets for 25s.
It functions as a DoT, with a multiplier of 30% ATK p/s, with each tick doing Physical DMG. On top of this damage gain, it also increases the target's Physical and Heat DMG taken by 12%, being a very valuable multiplier.
Note: The DoT scales with Rossi's ATK, but the buff is universal: every team member that deals Physical or Heat DMG also benefits from it.
"Seething Blood" is Rossi's second Talent, and a driving force behind why critical hits are so valuable for her. Against Clawmarked enemies, whenever a skill deals Critical DMG, it triggers a 24% ATK hit and restores some of Rossi's HP, getting a x1.5 multiplier against Combusted targets.
There is no internal cooldown for the damage and heal effect, so multi-hit skills can quickly stack up on multiple triggers.
"'Razorclaw' Ambuscade" is Rossi's Ultimate, and it comprises a barrage of multiple weaker hits, which then end with a 2-sequence slash that applies Heat Infliction, all doing Heat DMG.
As far as damage goes, it's easily Rossi's strongest ability, as it has an additional effect that makes all of its hits gain a Critical DMG Boost.
While it does have a steep cost of 110 Ultimate energy, rotations tend to revolve around stacking as many buffs/debuffs as possible for it, being both a powerful nuke and the best way to trigger Seething Blood’s effect.
"Seething Wolfblood" is Rossi's Basic Attack string. It is decently fast, and there is an animation cancel point halfway during its fourth sequence, but it offers only a minimal timesave. Rossi will perform a dash forwards on her Final Strike, making it easy to hit even against mobile enemies, but otherwise it’s a rather unremarkable skill.
As it deals Physical DMG, it benefits from buffs like Breach, but on the flipside means that it falls short on a team that has Electrification for example.
Given Rossi’s long Combo Skill cast, it’d be ideal to not on-field her and have other Operators be controlled instead, but as her signature weapon needs Critical DMG ticks to build stacks, staying on Rossi and swapping out for skills would work best if using it.
Rossi’s energy demands may seem steep at first, considering her 110 Ultimate energy cost, but in practice she doesn’t need all that much.
Rotations are likely to follow a 2-cycle template: trigger Rossi’s Combo Skill and Battle Skill twice, then Ultimate after.
Since her Combo Skill generates 20 energy and her Battle Skill generates 16.5 (if Wolven Ambrage is triggered), 2 sets of each puts Rossi at 73 energy. With 4 teammate Battle Skills being used, this would leave her at 99 energy, more than enough for her Ultimate cast with only a single, un-artificed armor piece.
More important than Rossi’s energy management is that of her allies, as some may be more demanding than others to have Ultimates aligned with Rossi’s own, so try to work team builds around a planned rotation to maximise efficiency.
Rossi has a tremendous number of Operators she can work with, but while the specifics on how her rotations work differ, there's a general order of skills and status build-up that most will adhere to:
Apply Vulnerability and Infliction to a target.
Use Rossi's Combo Skill with Perfect Timing to consume the Infliction, build a further 2 Vulnerability stacks and self-buff.
Use Rossi's Battle Skill to build a 4th Vulnerability stack and apply Razor Clawmark.
Apply Combustion, as well as any ally buffs/debuffs.
(Optional) Consume the Vulnerability stacks built with Crush or Breach.
Use Rossi's Ultimate.
Don't forget that because her Combo Skill buffs are rather short, it's important that any subsequent skills - be it a Battle Skill or Ultimate - follow shortly. Delaying too much can risk the buff falling off.
While her Battle Skill casts quickly, her Combo doesn’t, so even if Rossi is primarily the controlled Operator, it’s best to try and swap out of her prior to Combo Skill use so as to not lose out on Final Strikes in a rotation.
On 0 energy starts, the Apply Statuses → Combo Skill → Battle Skill → Consume Vulnerability flowchart can be repeated to afford Rossi and the team enough time to stagger and build resources.
As Rossi's Ultimate is quite fast, there's usually plenty of time to get Finishers before or after it, but whether Rossi or another Operator's Finisher is used (for Arts DMG) depends on the team.
After the Ultimate burst, make use of the Heat Infliction that Rossi builds to condense further rotations (or to set-up reactions/ally triggers), starting the cycle over again. Consuming Vulnerability stacks is optional as Rossi herself doesn't need it - which makes pure Arts teams be viable - but it's a good opportunity to work with other Physical Operators that can either support (Breach) or fill a sub-DPS role (Crush).
Build
Rossi has just released and we will update her build and calculations are found over the next few days.
The percentages show the performance of the weapon based on calculations, but in some cases, some Weapons might provide additional QOL that can't be quantified and it would push that weapon ahead of others in the priority (and in those cases, we would put that weapon higher).
The solo percentage shows how the weapon impacts Rossi performance if you look at their damage in the vacuum, while the team percentage shows the impact of the weapon when taking into account full team, including buffs etc.

Glorious Memory is Rossi's Battle Pass Weapon, a weaker version of her Signature. It provides a DMG bonus to her Ultimate every time she applies Vulnerable, up to 3 - can be achieved through her Battle Skill and Combo Skill every rotation. However, it does not affect her Basic Attacks and Combo Skills, which contribute to a significant portion of her damage profile in Physical teams.<br/>Note: In one-shot setups where Rossi is able to use her ultimate immediately to eliminate enemies with no need for a downtime/energy building rotation, this weapon performs better than listed in our calculations, which assume some downtime.
Stat 1 Boost - 9/9
Agility: +156
Stat 2 Boost - 9/9
Critical Rate: +19.5%
Passive Boost - 4/9
ATK: +11.2%
At Potential 0, the weapon is notably weaker but still performs better than her other alternative due to specific stat needs.<br/>Note: Just like above, this weapon will perform better in fights where Rossi starts with her ultimate and ends the fight with no need for her downtime rotation.
Stat 1 Boost - 9/9
Agility: +124
Stat 2 Boost - 9/9
Physical DMG Bonus: +34.70%
Passive Boost - 9/9
Attack: +14.00%
Sundering Steel has a strong passive but lacks Critical Rate, which can be annoying when missing key critical strikes, as her kit has increased Critical DMG. Rossi's Battle Skill and Combo Skill can both apply Lift to activate the weapon passive and maintain both stacks easily.
Stat 1 Boost - 9/9
Intellect: +156
Stat 2 Boost - 9/9
Heat DMG Bonus: +43.30%
Passive Boost - 4/9
Attack: +11.20%
Umbral Torch - Laevatain's Battle Pass weapon works on Rossi thanks to its 6* stat line, even without her Primary Attribute; it has high ATK and a Heat DMG-focused passive that can boost her Ultimate. Requires constant Combustion or Corrosion application, ideally with teammates that can forcibly apply them.<br/>Note: This weapon performs better than listed with teams including Ardelia.
Stat 1 Boost - 9/9
Main Attribute: +132
Stat 2 Boost - 9/9
Critical Rate: +19.50%
Passive Boost - 4/9
Rapid Ascent is the alternative 6* that has Critical Rate for consistency and with an adaptive Main Attribute. Can increase the Physical DMG portion of her Battle Skill, but unfortunately, her Ultimate is not Physical DMG, so only the DMG vs Staggered enemy buff is useful for her; if not using her Ultimate against Staggered enemies, the performance will drop considerably.<br/>Note: Just like Glorious Memory, this sword is fully Ult focused, so it will perform better than shown in short fights where Rossi one-shots enemies with it. Also, our calculations assume the ultimate is always used against a staggered enemy.
The solo percentage shows how the set and gear impact Rossi performance if you look at their damage in the vacuum, while the team percentage shows the impact when taking into account full team, including buffs etc.
Critical Rate +5%. When the wearer scores a critical hit, gain ATK +5% for 5s. This effect can reach 5 stacks. At max stacks, grant an additional Critical Rate +5%. This effect cannot stack.
MI Security is the go-to option for crit-scaling Operators as the gears have a lot of Critical Rate for them to work with, alongside the set bonus providing a nice 25% ATK and 10% Critical Rate if the wielder can consistently score critical hits. Rossi needs Critical Rate as her kit provides an additional Critical DMG bonus in her abilities, and she deals additional hits through her Combat Talent when scoring critical hits. The gear pieces also have her preferred Attributes of Agility and Intellect.

Keep in mind that the gear pieces below are being compared against having nothing equipped on the character at all. This means that in some cases, when you include Weapons, other pieces, outside buffs etc, the values of some pieces may change. For more accurate information, check the section above where we picked the best combination when you look at all pieces equipped.
Pieces marked with a star* can perform better than listed - this applies to:
Getting higher multipliers on both Battle and Combo Skills simultaneously is decent as far as Potentials go, which tend to give either one or the other. Do keep in mind however, that a lot of Rossi's damage comes from her Ultimate (and Talents!), so the value of this Potential is mostly in helping with sustained damage. The SP return can help in speeding up rotations, but is otherwise too small to have much effect.
Generic stat boost potential, with Critical Rate bonuses being especially useful owing to Rossi's Critical DMG buffs and the Seething Blood Talent.
A 33.3% increase in value to Rossi's Seething Blood Talent's damage and 50% increase to its healing. With how it’s often triggered by Ultimate, this Potential works as an indirect buff to it, as most of its benefits are seen then.
Considering Rossi's high Ultimate energy demands, a 15% reduction is especially helpful, taking it down to a cost of 93.5. Although it does not directly increase damage, it opens up new builds and/or rotations that make use of a more accessible Ultimate, where its actual gain may be higher than the % shown here.
A higher multiplier on Ultimate and having extra Critical DMG bonus with it on top is especially good for Rossi. It is just damage, with no fundamental gameplay changes, yet it remains as one of the greatest direct gains she can get owing to how significant a portion of her damage distribution comes from Ultimate.
Important! The graph generator tool we're using has some issues currently and it displays the 'rows' wrong visually. The percentages shown are fully correct though.
In this section we're showing the team setup used for the above calculations as well as the damage split for Rossi based on where it comes from. The setup isn't always best in slot for each character and also please keep in mind that with different team members, Weapons, and Gear, the calculations will change.
Ultimate > Combo Skill > Basic Attack >= Battle Skill
Teams and Synergies
Rossi teams aren't listed in any specific order - so they're not listed best to worst or vice versa. Check our Team Tier List for more information about best teams.
The core of this team's rotation is to be able to make use of Endmin's P2 buffs without sacrificing on Originum Crystal SP return, so as to sustain the high resource demands of the team as a whole. To do this, be watchful of Combo Skill cooldowns so that Endmin's Combo Skill is triggered on the second sequence of Rossi's own Combo Skill.

The above rotation is fully compatible without P5 Wulfgard, but it does demand the Finisher SP recovery so as to get Rossi's 2nd Battle Skill use. It isn't actually necessary, as Razor Clawmark from the first Battle Skill should be enough to cover the entire rotation, but would demand Ultimate Gain Efficiency pieces to make up for the energy loss.
At P5 Wulfgard, there's opportunities for alternative routing, as the reset on his Combo Skill means that it's possible to shift things around, consuming the Combustion from his Ultimate with a Battle Skill and having Gilberta's Ultimate Nature Infliction trigger his Combo Skill, which then applies Combustion again in time for Rossi's Ultimate. This saves 100 SP in the rotation and allows for it to work without a Finisher.

Note that Endmin could be replaced with any other Physical Operator that can consume Vulnerability stacks (Da Pan, Pogranichnik) and have arguably simpler rotations. It is also possible to ignore Vulnerability stacks and have a full Arts team (replacing Endmin with Perlica or Akekuri) if focusing solely on Rossi's damage.

Rossi's Signature Weapon provides Agility, Critical Rate and a large DMG% boost to all of her damage output, making it her best option with the caveat that it has some downtime, and requires Rossi to build sufficient Critical Rate to stack the buff to the maximum count since the stacks will be reset every 20s. When using this weapon, Rossi should use her Basic Attacks to stack the buff and it may require some coordination to make sure her key abilities aren't being used when the stacks are about to reset
