Anessa specialises in dealing large amounts of AOE damage to enemies. Her Active Skill and Ultimate deals big damage to all enemies, with her Ultimate also massively boosting her Attack Speed for a short duration. Her Frozen Soul Passive increases all damage inflicted against enemies with Freeze status whereas her Apostle of Lust Passive, increases her Attack and number of target’s hit by her Basic Attacks.  In the current meta she is one of the mainstay DPS units in the Cow Queen Daily Raid.

However, Anessa is unable to Freeze enemies with her own skills, thereby requiring Equipment or Teammates to achieve the same. As such, she requires teams to be built around her to protect her and maximise Freeze uptime on enemies. She also lacks any defensive utility in her kit causing her to be squishy and susceptible to being blown up without a proper Healer and Tank in the team.

Anessa’s card, Lingering Allure, is a good card to have when you are aiming for higher damage in Raids. It is essentially a Merlin card for Melees that gives your entire team ATK% which makes your team deal more damage and also heal more.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Solid sustained AOE damage.

  • Freeze sets up a ton of burst potential.

  • Excellent synergy in existing team roster.

Cons

  • Squishy.

  • Cannot inflict Freeze on her own and needs a team built around her to do so.

Build

Best Substats
  • Weapon: Attack %, Critical Damage.

  • Armor: Defense %

  • Accessory:  HP%

  • Rune: Critical Damage, HP%

  • Specialities: Critical Damage = Attack

Dupes Information
  • Dupe Priority - Card > Transcend

  • Recommended Transcend - Transcend 5/Awakening

Skill Priority
Skill Priority

Passive 2 > Passive 1 > Active = Ultimate

Synergies
Cards
  • Lingering Allure (Anessa) - General purpose Melee DPS card with a large Attack % Party buff. Her most common option in Raids.
  • Moonlight Swordplay (Ran) - General purpose Melee DPS card that can greatly boost Anessa’s DPS potential in mob heavy/ high hit count maps, if she can tank the incoming damage.
  • Elgrad Sword Art Journal (Lua) - Always a strong choice for DPS units due to its Additional Damage and Critical Damage Stat Lines. Requires at least 50% effective Critical Hit Rate to be worth using.
Comments

If none of the above is available, any Card that provides Melee Attack % up, Critical Damage, Additional Damage would work.
