Anessa specialises in dealing large amounts of AoE damage to enemies. Her Active Skill and Ultimate deals big damage to all enemies, with her Ultimate also massively boosting her Attack Speed for a short duration. Her Frozen Soul Passive increases her ATK speed and damage inflicted against enemies with Freeze status. Whereas her Apostle of Lust Passive increases her Attack and number of targets hit by her Basic Attacks. In the current meta she is one of the mainstay DPS units in the Cow Queen Daily Raid.
However, Anessa is unable to Freeze enemies with her own skills, thereby requiring Equipment or Teammates to achieve the same. As such, she requires teams to be built around her to protect her and maximise Freeze uptime on enemies. She also lacks any defensive utility in her kit causing her to be squishy and susceptible to being blown up without a proper Healer and Tank in the team.
Anessa’s role in today’s meta currently leans towards being a fast attacker in Stonehenge and Brawl. Her role is twofold - quickly wiping out waves of enemies early on, while also being able to quickly shred off Hitcount Immunity stacks from the Cow mobs when the situation calls for it. It’s not much, but it’s honest work.
Anessa’s card, Lingering Allure, is a good card to have when you are aiming for higher damage in Raids. It is essentially a Merlin card for Melees that gives your entire team Attack%, which makes your team deal more damage and also heal more.
Solid sustained AoE damage.
Really fast animations on her basic attacks.
Very good Stonehenge farmer.
Squishy.
Cannot inflict Freeze on her own and needs a team built around her to do so.
