Katrin is a Freeze-Oriented Wizard capable of empowering and reducing the cooldown on her Active Skills when enemies are frozen.
Her 1st Passive reduces her Active Skill cooldown, increases her Damage Dealt and increases her Critical Damage for a period of time when attacking Frozen targets. Her active skill applies a Critical Hit Chance increase buff while marking the enemies with a debuff that deals additional damage at 3 stacks and inflicts Frost when all counts are depleted. Her Ultimate deals significant damage to the enemies while boosting her Active Skill Damage that ends after 5 usages. Her 2nd Passive increases her own Critical Hit Chance and Attack.
Katrin’s kit was reworked to function similarly to Tiamat and Palamedes, but Freeze/ Frost oriented - both her Passive 1 and Ultimate work in tandem to turn her into an Active spamming machine gun. Katrin herself can easily apply multiple Freezes alongside her allies, which makes runs with her team very comfortable.
With her recent rework, her viability as a DPS has shot up akin to that of Yumi. The difference is that Katrin is easily accessible and can be obtained through the standard banner, unlike Yumi, who is only obtainable during the Limited Time Collab Banner. She is a solid DPS who can do very well in raid scenarios, but does not have the raw damage output to compete outside of the Morrigan Raid.
One of the first few cards to offer an ATK AMP line, but at the cost of some Crit Rate. Katrin’s card does not stand out compared to the other alternatives, but it can be a good substitute when you are lacking the other premier DPS wizard cards like Morgan le Fay’s card.
Strong self-buffs and a self-reliant kit by having her own way to Freeze enemies.
Virgin Killer Sweater Skin.
Reliant on incapacitating enemies through Freeze.
Other DPS options do a lot more damage in most scenarios without relying on Freeze.

Galahad - Obligatory Wizard buffer.
Merlin - Consistent freeze applicator to help out with activating her kit.
