Please keep in mind Wuthering Waves is a skill-based game and each character has a different playstyle, difficulty level and even special tricks and combos. Wuthering Waves is also a team based game and it's only by combining both these factors to the highest level a character can reach optimal performance.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Modern DPS character, very strong single-target performance within her best team given the right amount of investment;

  • Can buff the team’s Aero and Echo skill damage, providing extra synergies;

  • Has built-in Stun mechanics that teammates can exploit via her Outro, making full team rotations easier. Can also group and stun enemies in her own rotation to handle different battle situations.

Cons

  • Lacks good F2P teammates and F2P weapons. Strong preference towards at least having Qiuyuan as a readily available teammate, and her Signature is a desirable upgrade as well to get her up to the top-level performance she can output.

Review

Sigrika is a 5-star Aero Gauntlets DPS character who specializes in the Echo Skill damage archetype, similar to characters like Phrolova and Galbrena. Much like Galbrena, she gets up close and personal to deal high-damaging Aero blows to enemies; but unlike her, Sigrika doesn’t focus on entering an enhanced state to deal her damage; instead, she builds up to a Forte Skill in order to blow enemies away. Let’s look into how to do exactly that:

Key Mechanics

Sigrika’s kit focuses on generating and consuming Runes via Heavy Attacks in order to cast her Forte Skill. She does this via her Basic Attacks, Intro, and Ultimate, all of which are related to Rune generation. Essentially, Sigrika can generate one Rune after performing a full Basic Attack chain. However, this can be upgraded to 2 Runes per chain if she has cast her Intro or Ultimate within the past 20s. One of these Heavy Attacks will be using 2 of the same runes and the other will be using 2 different rune types. Each rune type influences what Heavy Attack is performed. This is similar to Phrolova’s Forte Basics and Forte Skills.

Sigrika’s Runes gained via her enhanced Basic Attack (which is indicated by the glow on the Basic Attack button after a full Basic Chain) will generate Runes used to stagnate enemies, while Runes gained via her enhanced Skill (indicated by the glow on the Skill button in a similar fashion) will generate Runes used to group enemies.

Sigrika’s special Heavy Attacks can be used if she has any two or more Runes. If two Runes of the same type are present (this will be the case after her Intro), then the actual effect depending on the Rune type selected will take place. However, due to the nature of her Ultimate generating two opposite type Runes, the next Heavy Attack will simply deal higher damage while having no extra effects instead.

Finally, once both Heavy Attacks were used, holding her Skill button will cast her big Forte Skill nuke, ending her rotation.

Practical Gameplay & Related Mechanics

Given her Key Mechanics explained above, we can come up with a simple rotation where Sigrika casts a full Basic Attack chain after Intro, casts a Heavy Attack, casts her Ultimate, redoes a full Basic Attack chain into a Heavy, and then she’s ready to use her Forte Skill and Outro. Very easy to understand and execute. However, Sigrika has other mechanics that are important to keep in mind when playing her in practice.

First of all, if she needs to dodge out of the way of enemies, it’s not a problem. Her dodge counter works so that the next attack that comes after it is a Basic Attack 4, which means she can easily generate Runes quickly after dodging an enemy attack to ensure a smooth rotation.

Secondly, it’s worth noting Sigrika has mechanics that discourage swapping, since she’d not only lose out on team Outro Buffs, but also her own Aero and Echo skill damage buff only applies to the active character on-field (this is given via her Inherent Skills and depends on the amount of Echo Skill casts in the team), and she will also lose out on a significant amount of DMG Amplification built into her Forte on all of her most damaging abilities.

Thirdly and finally, Sigrika can Stagnate enemies when other characters cast their own Echo Skills after her Outro. This helps makes inconsistent characters like Qiuyuan, and makes them able to consistently execute scripted rotations against aggressive bosses without as much issue.

Meta Position & Conclusion

Sigrika is a very strong DPS, but this comes at a cost. Almost all of her damage is Echo Skill DMG, which basically no character can buff aside from Qiuyuan. To make matters worse, Sigrika has 3 different layers of built-in mechanics that depend on the amount of Echo Skills cast in the team, built into her Forte and Inherent Skills. They each give significant amounts of DMG Bonus and DMG Amplification on her highest-damaging abilities. This makes her performance very reliant on Qiuyuan, as her strongest alternatives come in the form of characters like Lynae and Mornye who really pale in comparison.

Overall, Sigrika’s reliance on Qiuyuan as a teammate is very much felt, and she is stranded for other teammate options currently due to the amount of mechanics she has that are tied to having a higher amount of Echo Skill casts than normal in the team, as well as her more exclusive damage type which has no viable permanently accessible options. While she definitely has strong potential, her opportunity cost should definitely be kept in mind, especially considering she also lacks strong F2P weapon alternatives unlike her predecessors Luuk Herssen and Aemeath. Her first banner arriving right after those two major meta powerhouses definitely leaves Sigrika in an awkward position for people who spent their pulls on the 4 meta staples that came before her, including Lynae and Mornye.

In conclusion, while Sigrika is a strong DPS, she has a major flaw in regards to opportunity cost which makes her pull value worth questioning depending on your account. But if you give Sigrika the conditions she needs to shine, she’ll absolutely serve you as one of the strongest DPS in the game, considering her modern damage numbers are nothing to scoff at so long as she is provided with the sufficient amount of investment and surrounded by the proper teammates.

Best Weapons

The percentages show the performance of the weapon based on calculations, but in some cases, some weapons might provide additional QOL that can't be quantified and it would push that weapon ahead of others in the priority (and in those cases, we would put that weapon higher).

Sigrika calculations were done using added buffs from the following teammates:

100.00%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 588 | CRIT DMG: 48.6%

Sigrika's Signature weapon is the only one to give her the stats she desires, being a mix of high Base ATK, CRIT DMG, Echo Skill DMG Amplification and providing extra DEF Ignore to Aero DMG, making it the de facto best choice for her by a good amount.

85.40%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 587 | CRIT DMG: 48.6%

Zani's Signature weapon provides the same base stats as her Signature alongside an extra 8% DEF Ignore when Sigrika casts her Basic Attacks, making for a small extra boost compared to the alternatives below it.

82.10%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 587 | CRIT Rate: 24.3%

Calculation also applicable to Tragicomedy and Daybreaker's Spine. The best permanent option for Sigrika which is just an ATK and CRIT Rate stat-stick for her.

81.80%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 587 | CRIT Rate: 24.3%

Another ATK and CRIT Rate stat-stick which provides 12% All-Attribute DMG Bonus instead of ATK, making it a bit worse than the above options.

78.50%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 500 | CRIT Rate: 36%

This weapon gives too much CRIT Rate when factoring in Sigrika's own kit buffs, and also has a lower Base ATK than the above options, which makes it perform worse than them as an ATK and CRIT Rate stat-stick for Sigrika.

76.30%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 587 | ATK: 36.4%

While this weapon provides massive ATK and Energy Regen stats, it lacks the CRIT stat that the weapons above it have, making it a worse option overall.

69.40%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 412 | CRIT DMG: 40.5%

This Battle Pass exclusive is the best 4-star option Sigrika has by a tiny margin thanks to the CRIT and ATK stats it provides, but due to a much lower Base ATK than all other 5-star choices it pales in comparison to them.

69.40%

Stats at Level 90: ATK: 462 | ATK: 18.2%

Best F2P no-gacha option for Sigrika, of which she can enable the passive thanks to Ciaccona being on her team in our calculations. Without the passive activated, it will perform worse than listed but still be an acceptable temporary choice. Still, try to chase 5-star options like Pulsation Bracer if you can to get good performance out of Sigrika.

Focus on building only enough Energy Regen to meet requirements for your team, then only go for Energy Regen above the 125% threshold if you have enough substats to begin with on accident/want to optimize her build as far as you can. ATK/ATK is always the best choice for main-stats.

Best Endgame Stats (Level 90)

All recommended endgame stats portray a fairly good quality endgame build as a goal to aim for on most characters. However, don’t treat this as an end-all-be-all, and more of a suggestion.

All stat recommendations are given at S0 for 5-stars, S6 for 4-stars, and free characters (unless specified otherwise), based on total stats in the in-game stat-screen with the character out of combat but also active in the party (and hence some buffs may or may not apply). Any other precision may be directly specified. If not specified, Energy Regen requirements are estimated in the character’s best team.

  • HP: 15000+

  • DEF: 1100+

  • ATK: 2400-3000+

  • CRIT Rate: 65%+ (Before Set Bonus)

  • CRIT DMG: 210-290%+

  • Energy Regen: 109%-119%

    • The lower estimate was calculated using Qiuyuan Ciaccona (or Phrolova), the higher estimate was calculated using Qiuyuan Shorekeeper.

  • Aero DMG Bonus: 10-40%+

Rotation

Sigrika’s kit focus is around generating her Runes as quickly as possible in order to cast her high-damaging Forte skill and end her rotation. For this, she only has one way to go about it: cast Basic Attacks following her Intro and Ultimate. We can hence come up with a very simple rotation as follows:

Standard Rotation
  • Intro

  • Basic 2

  • Basic 3

  • Basic 4

  • Basic: Elucidated

  • Heavy: Chain Whip (Cancel animation endlag via Ultimate)

  • Ultimate

Additional information

The numbers below show the character's DPS (Damage Per Second) and DMG (total damage done). When selecting the rotations we prioritized achieving 100 Concerto as fast as possible and once that condition was fulfilled, we focused on maximizing the damage output. As or if new and more optimal rotations are found, we'll update the characters calculations as needed. Listed character calculations are done without buffs or any damage contribution from teammates (full solo). They only include what the character, their Weapon, Echo and gear are capable of during their ideal Burst or Concerto rotation when starting with their Intro and Resonance Liberation available.

Do note that DPS and DMG aren’t perfect metrics for a character’s individual value and should be taken with a grain of salt. Anything pertaining a character’s relevance in the meta is addressed in our Review and Tier List, which the numbers below shouldn’t be used for as an end-all-be-all to. Instead, DPS and DMG are good metrics for a character’s sequence value and comparison between an individual character’s different rotations. We recommend using those metrics for such purposes.
