Faruzan Build and Guide

Faruzan is a 4-star Anemo Bow character utilized as a dedicated Support for Anemo DPS. She is one of the extremely rare characters capable of reducing enemy Anemo Resistance and simultaneously provides Anemo DMG% bonuses. At Constellation 6, this role is further reinforced with a massive Anemo CRIT DMG buff for the entire team. She sees use with older Anemo focused DPS, but has gone through a resurgence thanks to the new Stellar-Swirl reaction and its related carries making great use of her kit.

Her Elemental Skill first serves as her primary tool for Energy generation and also acts as a minor Crowd Control tool. Casting this enhances her next fully-charged Aimed Shot into a Hurricane Arrow, allowing it to trigger what’s called a Pressurized Collapse upon impact, dealing damage and pulling in nearby enemies. The Skill notably does not generate any Energy particles, instead 2 Anemo particles are generated whenever the Pressurized Collapse hits an enemy, gated to every 5.5 seconds.

Her Elemental Burst is the core of her kit. Upon cast, it creates a Dazzling Polyhedron that deals DMG and then moves around the battlefield following a triangular path. Each time it hits a corner of this triangle it unleashes a Whirlwind Pulse. These pulses apply a 30% Anemo RES reduction effect onto nearby enemies whilst also granting a teamwide Anemo DMG bonus, both lasting for 4 seconds.

Her passive talents round out her supportive capabilities. Faruzan’s Ascension 1 Passive reduces the charge time of her Hurricane Arrow by 60%, but more importantly, it allows her Pressurized Collapses to apply the same Anemo RES reduction as that of her burst. This is also precisely why her Constellation 6 is so high value, as it allows the active character to trigger Pressurized Collapses off-field which will continuously apply the RES reduction and generate Energy.

Her Ascension 4 Passive finally provides a Quill effect to any party member dealing Anemo DMG via their Normal, Charged, Plunging Attacks, or through their Skill or Burst. This effect can trigger once every 0.8 seconds and increases damage by 32% of Faruzan’s Base ATK. However, because the actual damage is so low - and useless in Stellar Swirl - players should instead ignore high Base ATK weapons and instead focus on meeting her very large Energy Recharge requirements in order to Burst every rotation.
