Sanguine Dash
Switches to Illusion Form after successfully casting Sanguine Dash while in Reality Form. Enables an enhanced Sanguine Dash for a set time after the 4th or 5th stage of Wildfire, Flickering Shadow, or Voidstep. Inflicts Heartwrench on targets hit and triggers Disarray, reducing massive Break of enemies in a large area. Delays the removal of the Reality Form Hunt effect when switching to Illusion Form with Sanguine Dash. Prevents the form switch if the skill is interrupted before it is complete.
Switches to Reality Form after successfully casting Soulcross while in Illusion Form. Enables an enhanced Soulcross shortly before Illusion Form ends. Deals massive DMG to enemies in a large area, inflicts Heartwrench on targets hit, and triggers Oblivion, activating Bloodfeast Reverie.
Grants Illusion Form for a set duration. Ends Illusion Form and returns Zankou to Reality Form when Soulcross or Bloodfeast Reverie is successfully cast, when its duration expires, or when Zankou leaves the field. Delays the removal of the Illusion Form Delusion effect when switching to Reality Form with Soulcross. Counts all DMG dealt by Soulcross and its enhanced version as Follow-up Attack DMG. Prevents the form switch if the skill is interrupted before it is complete.
No need to wake up yet. The nightmare is only beginning.
Inferno Flamenco
Press to cast the Ultimate when Ultimate Energy is full. Has 2 Ultimates: Inferno Flamenco and Bloodfeast Reverie.
Casts Inferno Flamenco if Bloodfeast Reverie is inactive.
Prioritizes Bloodfeast Reverie if it is active. Counts DMG dealt by Bloodfeast Reverie as Follow-up Attack DMG and inflicts Vile Ash on enemies in a large area. Enables one enhanced Inferno Flamenco to be cast without consuming Ultimate Energy within a limited time after successfully casting Bloodfeast Reverie. Removes this cast opportunity when the time limit expires.

Fear is the finest fuel.
Silent Sunset
Scorch Enhancement: Scorch can be stacked up to 3 times. Scorch inflicted by this effect cannot trigger it again.
Countless flames merge into a silent sun, burning every gaze into the same hue.
Crimson Reverie
Sets Zankou's Cycle Energy to 100 upon entering battle. Cooldown: 30s. Triggers only once per battle. Increases Zankou's Cycle Intensity by 100 while she is on the team.
Lose yourself in the intoxicating crimson of her gaze, and never wake again.
Eyes of Abyss
Awakening 1
Allows Wildfire, Flickering Shadow, Voidstep, enhanced Sanguine Dash, and enhanced Soulcross to spread DoT effects upon Awakening. Grants Zankou Hunt and Delusion at all times. Keeps both buffs active without delayed removal and prevents them from being removed when Zankou leaves the field or switches forms. Removes them only when Zankou is defeated.
The DMG bonus granted to Zankou by Hunt increases to 40%. The DoT Crit DMG bonus granted to the whole team by Delusion increases to 50%.
Abyssal Kiss
Awakening 2
Builds up Kindling whenever Zankou participates in a Cycle that triggers Scorch or Hexed, increasing the Final DMG dealt by the next Inferno Flamenco by 150%. Allows Kindling to accumulate even before Inferno Flamenco becomes available, up to 1 stack.
Kiss in a Nightmare
Awakening 3
Hunt increases Zankou's Resistance to Interruptions by an additional 50%. Delusion restores HP equal to 4% of her Max HP per second.

Increases all allies' Break DMG by 300% while Zankou is on the team.
Blood Stained Eyes
Awakening 6

Review
Instant Cycle burst, as she gains 100 Cycle Energy at the start of every battle, allowing her to form an Esper Cycle right away. She also gains +100 Cycle Intensity.
She constantly applies and spreads DoT, making her strong in Scorch teams.
Every attack in Illusion counts as Follow-Up Damage, giving her synergy with teams that rely on it, such as Hexed teams.
Her gameplay looks complicated on paper, but it’s really just about using her Redirect Skill and not very much else.
Can turn invisible outside combat, becoming undetectable and gaining 50% movement speed for 20 seconds. Works in Pink Paw Heist too.
Being interrupted while using Redirect can disrupt her rotation and prevent her from properly triggering the effects tied to switching states.
It can take a while to get through her rotation to apply her second DoT effect.
Zankou is an Incantation DPS who plays around switching between two combat states via her Redirect Skill. These two kits are called Reality and Illusion. You start in Reality, switch to Illusion with Redirect, then return to Reality once the time limit runs out or you press Redirect again.
Before getting into her two states, Zankou has an insane passive that lets her start every battle with 100 Cycle Energy while also increasing her Cycle Intensity by 100. This effect has a 30-second cooldown and can only activate once per battle. This is an extremely strong passive to have, comparable to Lacrimosa’s Awakening, except this is part of Zankou’s base kit. You can instantly form an Esper Cycle the moment she’s in battle.
While in Reality, Zankou has the Hunt buff, which increases her DMG. This is her more straightforward state, and you enter Illusion by using Redirect. Hunt remains active for 8 seconds after switching into Illusion, giving her some overlap between the two states.
Illusion is where a lot of her kit gets interesting. All of her attacks during this state count as follow-up attacks. Using Redirect Skill right after the 4th or 5th Basic Attack hit, a held Basic Attack, or a Dodge Counter applies Heartwrench (a type of DoT) to the target and triggers Disarray, dealing AoE Break DMG. Her Basic Attacks also apply Heartwrench and spread it to nearby enemies with every hit. She also gains Delusion, which increases DoT Crit DMG by 25%.
The important part is using her Redirect Skill within the final 3 seconds of Illusion. When you cast it during this window, you perform an enhanced version that deals AoE DMG, inflicts Heartwrench on targets hit, and triggers Oblivion, activating Bloodfeast Reverie, one of her two Ultimates, with the other being Inferno Flamenco.
Bloodfeast Reverie inflicts Vile Ash on the target, which is another DoT effect, and allows one Inferno Flamenco to be cast without consuming any Energy after using Bloodfeast Reverie.
After returning to Reality with Redirect, Delusion remains active for 8 seconds. Since Hunt also remains active for 8 seconds after entering Illusion, Zankou gets a window where she can benefit from both Hunt and Delusion at the same time.
Her Scorch Enhancement allows Scorch to become stackable (up to 3 times). Whenever anyone on the team applies a DoT effect to a target under Scorch, each stack of DoT applied lets Zankou add 1 Scorch stack of her own.
Outside of combat, Zankou can turn invisible and become undetectable by enemies in the open world. The effect lasts 20 seconds and increases her movement speed by 50%. This also works in the Pink Paw Heist.
So Zankou is a two-state character who is built around timing her Redirect Skill correctly. She starts in Reality and then enters Illusion, a state in which all attacks count as Follow-Up Damage and she's constantly applying and spreading DoT with every hit. This matters if you’re planning to build your team around Follow-Up Damage when the inevitable additional Hexed characters arrive, like Linko.
From there, you just attack in her Illusion form and make sure to use her Redirect Skill during the final few seconds of Illusion to trigger Oblivion and activate Bloodfeat Reverie, stacking even more DoT onto the target in the process. The main thing you need to watch out for is getting interrupted, since she can be interrupted during the switch. She’s also amazing for early Esper Cycle bursts thanks to her passive, and she fits perfectly into a Scorch team since she can constantly keep feeding DoT. That’s basically what she was made for.

Zankomosa DoT
Scarlet Break
A high-damage Incantation-Scorch team focused on Zankou’s Ultimate and Damage Over Time effects, supported by buffs from Iroi and Sakiri, and Daffodill's Phantom Step quick-swaps.
Zankou: Swap to Daffodill to trigger Scorch.
Daffodill: Use Ultimate and then Redirect Skill, then swap to Sakiri.
Sakiri: Use her Ultimate to apply her ATK buff to the team, then use her Redirect Skill (Devour Whole) to gain energy.
Iroi: Swap in and trigger Hexed in the process. Use her Ultimate, followed by her Skill to apply the attack buff to the team. During the skill animation, swap into Daffodill.
Daffodill: Use a Phantom Step and then swap to Zankou.
Zankou: Use Heavy Attack, followed by Enhanced Skill. Then, basic attack or heavy attack for 5 seconds to build DoT stacks until her second Enhanced Skill (Soulcross) is available.
Zankou: After using her second Enhanced Skill, she should have her Enhanced Ultimate. Right after this, we are going to use her Ultimate Finisher and then heavy attack into enhanced skill again. Auto attack until we are at 10 stacks of the second DoT and then switch off her.
Daffodill: Swap in and use her second Phantom Step and the Youthful Fantasy Arc to prepare for a break.
Iroi: Swap back during Daffodill's Phantom Step animation to reapply the attack buff with her Skill.
Zankou: Switching to Zankou here should trigger Hexed again, and you will be aiming to get to her Enhanced Soulcross again.
After this, the goal will be to build energy on any characters that don’t have their Ultimate yet and then restart the rotation from the top.
You can gain access to Zankou’s Enhanced Skill 1 by doing Basic 1 through 5, dodge countering, or heavy attacking. If you do another action before you press the skill, it will revert to its regular form.
Due to her Passive 1, Zankou can start any fight by swapping into a Chaos unit to put on Scorch. She can easily stack this Scorch to 3 and keep it up permanently with her own DoTs.
Since swapping off of the field while Zankou is in Illusion will result in the buff falling off, the main times that you can swap with her without interrupting her rotation are after her Soulcross skill and after her Bloodfeast Reverie Ultimate (for 5 seconds before the timer for Inferno Flamenco expires).
