Review
Our writers are looking at Guilty too much that they decided not to write a preface.
BGuilty (
Guilty: Mighty Bunny) is a B3 with good Single-Target DMG. She can alternate between Engage and Stance modes to adapt to the enemy's defenses and the team's composition. Against enemies with high DEF or in teams with True DMG▲, use Engage. If neither applies, use Stance. She starts the battle in Stance. Swap by holding Full Charge for 1s. She can swap mid-battle as many times as needed.
BGuilty will be relevant for:
Water-weak Solo Raid: Despite having dual mode, BGuilty will be less relevant in Stance mode than Engage mode due to the heavy True DMG buffer we have. Her best team is the True DMG team archetype alongside
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue, even when True DMG isn't advantaged. Hence, we can expect usage when the boss is Water-Weak, especially if it is advantageous to True DMG.
As ‘Team 5 units’, BSin and BGuilty are not easy to powercreep since their individual damage is higher than units in other teams, but may be replaced if SU decides to either spam Water B3s, or release a Hyper DPS with a strict selection of supports for it as well.
Campaign/Missilis Tower: BGuilty will be one of the meta units against Liberalio's Body, the Ch. 48 boss, thanks to its damage-nullifying mechanic. Not the ideal B3 for mob clearing due to zero AoE, but she has awesome Single-Target True DMG that can one-cycle Stage Targets. An alternative to
Laplace (Treasure).
PvP: Sniper Rifle will soon always hit P5 on both Attacking and Defending. This makes BGuilty one of the better early pressure units thanks to instant buffs, not to mention additional damage also doubles her standard SR burst gen. Aside from that, she has nothing else. A very situational modifier.
If you are:
A competitive Water-weak SR veteran: Pull at least 1 copy of BGuilty. She is meta for the current Liberalio (Body) SR and may be relevant for other Water-weak SR as long as Shift Up doesn’t release B3 DPS that powercreep them as the primary Team 5 choices.
A generalist (or other-element) veteran: If you don’t care about Water-weak ranking, you can skip.
A beginner: No. We highly recommend saving for Anniversary or picking up one of the Winter reruns instead, such as
Maiden: Ice Rose or
Ludmilla: Winter Owner. Also rerunning in December will be
Brid: Silent Track and
Diesel: Winter Sweets , alongside the new 2 Winter seasonals.
Snow White: Heavy Arms will rerun in New Year and will replace BGuilty for non-Raid content outside Liberalio's Body.
For any player group, she is not worth Mileage.
BGuilty doesn't have a lot of ATK▲ buff. This makes her scale more on external dupes such as
Flora (Treasure)'s. However, if she has a lot of ATK OL or is used with
Liter , it should be considered because
Liter buffs based on BGuilty's base ATK. Between BGuilty and BSin (Sin: Swift Bunny), BSin scales more on dupes.
In NIKKE, dupes are not necessary for units to function. They only give extra stats, help new commanders level past 160 wall, or unlock Favorite Item/Treasure.
BGuilty deals different types of damage depending on whether she is in Engage or Stance:
In Engage: Basic attacks and skill attacks will now deal True DMG.
In Stance: Basic attacks and skill attacks deal regular DMG, but BGuilty gains a mild personal buff and inflicts higher additional damage via S2.
In general, unless the boss has high DEF or specific mechanics that benefit True DMG, Stance will always have a higher damage output. However, team composition is also important. If the team consists of mostly True DMG▲ buffers such as
Flora (Treasure), then Engage will still deliver more damage.
To swap mode, Full Charge, then hold for an additional 1s. This will not happen automatically in AUTO, so you can leave them be after choosing your preferred mode. However, for maximum performance, we recommend manualing BGuilty to interrupt the downtime animation between attacks.
An animation is played upon mode change:
Swapping to Engage
Swapping to Stance
On September 23rd, ShiftUp conducted maintenance to also implement the above animations in Combat Effect settings Balanced and lower. They were previously only visible at Maximum.
BGuilty deals True DMG via 3 distinct methods:
Normal Attacks: Deal 69.04% * 2.5 damage that can crit or core-hit. Benefits from Effective Range.
Additional Damage on Full Charge: Deal 370.08% true damage that can crit.
Burst Skill: Deal 101.3% * 16.5 damage that can crit or core-hit. Benefits from Effective Range.
BGuilty has high True DMG normal attacks, so she excels at destroying parts. These normal attacks are also active continuously, allowing her to deal remarkable damage even in the other B3’s rotation. Since they can core-hit and have perfect accuracy, ensure Normal Attacks and Burst Skill land on the enemy’s core if present. If desired, you can also crit-fish the Burst nuke, but that’s hardcore.
Most of BGuilty’s damage being Normal Attacks also means that she is dependent on core. When the boss doesn’t have one, her damage will plummet.
BGuilty’s output is increased a little:
Extra Personal Buffs: Gain 20.45% ATK DMG and 40% Charge DMG continuously. Charge DMG buffs Normal Attacks and Burst Skill but not Additional Damage on Full Charge.
Boosted S2 Multiplier: Instead of 370.08%, deal 450.89% additional damage.
This mode is lackluster compared to Engage and prevents her from utilizing True DMG▲ buffs. However, it is still damage gain in teams without them and against bosses that have no specific mechanics.
As a True DMG DPS, BGuilty shines best in Campaign and against bosses that require True DMG, such as Liberalio’s Body, who is coincidentally a prominent wall in Chapter 48. Her playstyle is similar to
Laplace (Treasure), who packs terrific multipliers in her Burst rotations and emphasizes single-target assassination, excelling at dismantling Stage Targets. While they have similar True DMG output, they exhibit several differences:
No Pierce: Laplace (Treasure)’s biggest advantage is her Pierce capability. This means she can assail the Stage Target even if it were behind terrain, shield, or another Rapture, turning it into pseudo-AoE.
Less Burst Gen: While BGuilty deals Additional Damage from every Full Charge, making her burst gen double of standard SR, it is not enough to match Laplace (Treasure)’s splash. Moreover, spamming still generates more burst gen.
Frontloaded: Unlike Laplace (Treasure)’s constant output, BGuilty’s damage is stronger in the first 1.5s, when her Burst Skill lands. She can one-shot key targets faster, keeping your team safe.
Off-Burst Damage: BGuilty’s Basic Attacks still deal decent damage outside her rotation. On the other hand, Laplace (Treasure) has virtually zero damage.
Can Cover: While navigable, the inability of Laplace (Treasure) to huddle behind cover when using Burst Skill can be detrimental.
From a realistic perspective, despite weaknesses, Laplace (Treasure) actually surpasses BGuilty in most scenarios just thanks to Pierce, which proves too valuable to underplay. With zero AoE, it's also really hard to recommend her to beginners, despite low-clear chasers finding a way to utilize her. Because of that, to better align with expectations, we will rank BGuilty one tier below. Note that BGuilty is still excellent against Water-weak mobs and will likely beat Neutral S-tier units as long as there are no restrictive mechanics.
For the best performance, we recommend pairing her with
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue.
BGuilty has a specialized boss—Liberalio’s Body. However, its mechanics don't favor True DMG as much as you think. While she will still be better than random non-meta DPS, we can’t give her too much credit.
Let’s talk about her non-Raid and Raid performance:
Non-Raid: She matches neither
Snow White: Heavy Arms in damage output nor
Privaty (Treasure) in supportive buff/debuff. She is weaker than
Dorothy: Serendipity .
Helm (Treasure) deals similar damage yet gives the team buff, burst gen, and healing and doesn’t depend on core’s existence. Therefore, BGuilty is relatively just passable, usable but replaced immediately once you get anyone better.
Union Raid: Union Raids (Hard Mode) usually have players ideally using 1-2 teams per element, especially since units are condensed into a fewer number of teams compared to SR. With
Snow White: Heavy Arms being the main Team 1 unit and
Dorothy: Serendipity, alongside her supports, forming a formidable Team 2, BGuilty will almost never see use in UR meta. Versus any normal Water-weak boss that does not have an insanely high DEF, BGuilty is not a valid option for Team 3 either because of
Helm (Treasure) and
Ludmilla: Winter Owner. Rarely, against a boss favoring True Damage (such as Liberalio’s Body), BGuilty may be used as the primary Team 2 or Team 3 option. Otherwise, she is entirely skippable by current UR meta standards for Water element.
Solo Raid
Having specialized supports (i.e.
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue), BGuilty will be the primary Team 5 choice in Water-Weak Solo Raids, alongside her imprisoned friend
Sin: Swift Bunny . While they may be Team 5 units, they are harder to powercreep since some units in teams ‘above’ them might get replaced sooner. This is because those units have more generic supports and also offer lesser personal damage. Hence, this Bunny duo may survive a bit more than expected, but won't survive long if SU decides to spam B3s or a particular set of supporters.
BSin and BGuilty are, hence, effective units in the current meta, especially during the current raid: Liberalio's Body. While on the surface, Liberalio's Body benefits True DMG, its mechanics can be circumvented by switching up Burst orders or delaying attacks. This curtails its impact on non-True DMG DPS. Because of that, BGuilty's relative placement doesn't change. Note that everything assumes you have her full team, which unfortunately has a collab character. Like other middle-of-the-road DPS, she has no Neutral presence.
In PvP, BGuilty’s primary use is early pressure on P5. This will be even more highlighted after the PvP changes arrive in October 2026, when Attacking & Defending SGs will always hit P1 and SRs will hit P5. Among all the SR units, BGuilty has the highest damage off the bat, especially against Fire types. Despite that, this kind of specialty is only effective on Attack, so she is quite situational.
Not to mention, her Burst Skill, while able to one-shot Defenders past
Biscuit’s Immunity, is easily blocked and sustained against. Its short charge-up (1.5s) actually backfires because it cannot wait out
Noah’s Immunity. Comparing it to
Ada Wong’s, Ada’s is better as it deals True DMG and actually splashes. She also grants Lifesteal.
Because of her being limited to Attack + inherent weakness against Electric (
Anis: Star can easily kill her), as well as low burst gen (still double of standard SRs due to Additional Damage), we will rank her low, but we are looking to get more action with her.
BGuilty has very little innate ATK▲, so she scales on ATK greatly. Some Ammo to maintain shooting uptime + extra Charge Speed or Crit in general go a long way. If you are a PvP main, Charge Speed is often preferred because it allows faster Burst (if the entire team also has Charge Speed). However, Crit can also multiply her early pressure, allowing her to wound P5 more reliably.
Despite 70-80% of her damage scaling with Charge Speed, there is no reason to go crazy over Charge Speed line. She does not scale as greatly as how Neon: Vision Eye does with Charge Speed since BGuilty is just a regular sniper.
Primary Goal: 4× ELE, 4× ATK, 1-2× Max Ammo
Skill 1: 4~7
Abysmal ATK▲ despite all the yap.
Literally only loses 1% of her damage if not going for Lv. 10. Lowest priority.
In PvP: Boosts early pressure a little; S2 is way more important.
Skill 2: 10
Increases damage multiplier.
Increases ATK DMG▲ and Charge DMG▲ in Stance Mode.
Engage: Same priority as Burst against non-core; lower priority than Burst against core.
Stance: Highest priority against non-core; same priority as Burst against core.
In PvP: Most important skill as it instantly amplifies early pressure.
Burst Skill: 10
Increases ATK DMG▲, Charge DMG▲, and damage multiplier.
Engage: Same priority as S2 against non-core; highest priority against core.
Stance: Lower priority than S2 against non-core; same priority as S2 against core.
In PvP: Burst Skill not normally used in PvP; leave at Lv. 4 is fine
For PVE:
Resilience: Use Resilience if Rupture cube is not invested.
Rupture: Only for Engage Mode. Use Rupture unless Rupture is significantly lower level than Resilience.
Bastion: Use Bastion if you have high ammo OL on her.
Destruction: Use Destruction if the boss allows high parts-shooting time.
For PvP:
Tempering & Vigor: Increases survivability. Vigor helps redirect Blanc’s Indomitability.
Bastion & Resilience: The go-to cubes when you have nothing better.
PvE Notes: Great presence in Water-weak SR and can be used for Mobbing (in Water-weak especially). Meta against Liberalio’s Body boss in Campaign. Scales on Weapon Skill. CP padding is necessary. However, not more important than 8+ units.
PvP Notes: Early pressure on P5 is what sells her, which slightly depends on Weapon Skill. May need Damage Reduction because she’s Water, but she is often in safe positions. Very situational Attack-focused unit.
BGuilty’s best team uses niche and specific supports, namely Takina and Flora (Treasure), in Engage Mode. They cannot be powercrept easily for multiple Raids without SU bulk-spamming new Water Nikke to completely overtake the whole team.
Not mechanically locked with Sin: Swift Bunny. BGuilty can still be paired with other B3, especially in Stance Mode with general supports.
Ignoring element, the strongest early pressure SR in PvP. Can dismantle enemy’s unprotected P5 in a tailored Attack setup.
Skull-crushing thigh. What more needs to be said?
In Engage Mode: Niche and specific supports unsurprisingly limit the choice of the second B3 in the team. The best pair B3 is definitely going to be Sin: Swift Bunny. A collab unit, Ada Wong, is the only meaningful True Damage Neutral B3 to fit the slot to buff BGuilty. For Missilis Tower, you can use Laplace (Treasure).
If you miss either Flora (Treasure) or Takina, her performance degrades significantly. Players who joined after the LycoReco collab cannot enjoy BGuilty’s maximum performance at the time of writing.
A severe lack of sub-DPSes in her team, a lack of a generic enough 20s B2 to strongly synergize with, as well as the lack of team buffs provided by herself, means that this true damage Water duo is quite replaceable in the current meta at mediocre investments. Go all in or all out.
Damage falls off against enemies without core.
Quite reliant on manual gameplay like most SRs are, gaining up to 15% more damage on Normal Attacks with precise clicking/tapping.
Mode change animation requires Combat Effect set to Maximum (fixed on September 23rd).
At least her gameplay is not Crust-gaming.

Notes
Generally, Burst & S2 should be prioritized, as her best team is currently known to be in Engage Mode True DMG premium team. BGuilty scales decently against bosses with core. For PvP, she rarely uses Burst and is only used to early-pressure with basic attacks; S2 is most important, followed by S1.
Ideal
4× ELE
4× ATK
1-2× Max Ammo

Medium (Boss)
ELE & ATK are nice for BGuilty because of low innate ATK▲. Also necessary is 1-2× Max Ammo for higher uptime. The bonus lines can be Charge Speed or Crit. Charge Speed is nice for PvP if the entire team has a lot of it.

Good presence in Water-weak SR and can be used for Mobbing (in Water-weak specifically). Meta against Liberalio’s Body boss in Campaign. Scales on Weapon Skill. CP padding is necessary. However, not more important than 8+ units.
